Did you see what they did at the end of the first half? They easily marched down the field playing in up-tempo offense. And that's what I was screaming that they needed to be doing since the beginning of the game. Why in the world would you not go back to that?
Get him out of here. Obviously doesn't get it. Obviously not prepared for The Game. Obviously...Horrific mind set. Obviously Horrific offensive game plan. Plays not to lose. Doesn't play to win. You win the Game. Who cares who rushes for more yards. OSU has the talent...Use It!
Basically what you watch is Ryan Day his philosophy of turning Ohio State into basically a 7 on 7 program Personnel wise he has ignored the trenches for four years and now and when he gets into a tough football game he cannot run the ball.
Things Ryan Day haters apparently don't know. #1)Everyone knows they hated him looooooonnng before "The Game" #2)Us supporters were also furious at the gameplan last week. I yelled, screamed and cursed them out IN REAL TIME also. But do you kick your family members to the curb when they fall short? #3) Kirby Smart is 1-6 against Alabama. #4) Harbaugh was 1-5 against us @ one time. #5) His supporters, (although seemingly quiet) are vast , but choose (like the team) to shut their noise out. I'll own it if they fall short again, unlike the disappearing haters who will vanish as always.
OSU threw the ball more than they ran. Look at completion %, look at yards per attempt, ints. The defense showed a look, dropped into a different scheme and Howard did not read it. In the moment, it looks obvious to a casual observer. But film tells a different story
Mark, You nailed the horrifying A&M play calling at Texas's 1 yd line when A&M was down 17-7. Georgia Tech did the same, when, in the 7th OT, Tech's QB ran straight into a wall of 1O Bulldogs, while the taiback would've had one db to beat in the end zone from the 1 !!! and with a wide receiver blocking!!! Today's coaches have completely forgotten how to run wide. You can't do it every play, but you need to give your backs space & spread out the D. Tailbacks used to crash & slash outside the tackle box, TAKING A HANDOFF AT FULL SPEED. Running attacks can be explosive, but not when every team in the country runs the same run play: A standing-still back next to a shotgun qb, with a telegraphed, unimaginative handoff that D sees easily. Penn St. did the same thing against us-- and were stuffed 3 straight times.
Ok, it’s true. We enjoy your disgust, particularly in light of all your unjustified preseason gloating. We at MICHIGAN fully acknowledge that Ohio State is #1 All-Time in Big10 recruiting and Pre-Season National Championships. It’s after the football starts that the shine wears off. Until we see you guys recruiting for grit and depth on O and D lines we’ll know we own you. And so it goes….. Love the show!!!
Mark, Why are you in support of Ryan Day? He plays not loose, plays into Meatchicken’s strengths every year! He & majority of the staff needs to go! Special teams has been horrible, guess who’s in charge there. Stop wearing the scarlet glasses.
Ah, Guarantee Greenshield. I really thought that he would duck this one out, since he literally guarantees a suckeye win EVERY year, and is wrong EVERY year. I guess his game plan is just to predict them every year no matter what, and claim an occasional win under the "broken clock is right twice a day" theory.
Ryan Day felt like he had to beat Xichigan at their own game, but ended up falling right into their gameplan instead of doing what works for you. I was screaming to play uptempo from yhe beginning. They did it on their 1st drive a little and at the end og the 1st halft and scored a touchdown. But then they went right back to trying to run up the middle and playing the ground and pound game that Xichigan is good at instead of just beating them on the perimeter with an uptempo passing game. What a shame. I could have coached better than that.
Day was not calling plays. No chance. 2018 Ryan Day would have thrown it 40-50 times. This script had Kelly's hands all over it. The perplexing thing is the difference between early season Chip and now. The downfield passing game has suffered because of Kelly.
Being the tried and true Wolverine that I am - just gotta put it out there. It's stupid, to fire a coach that keeps you in the 90% win category, it's just the one win you need to get used to taking off your schedule is Michigan. You guys are not entitled to beat Michigan - and entitled is just what you are and entitlement is pride... and the antidote for pride is an ass whoppin' - and that's what keeps happening. Correct your attitude and you might correct your course. Until then, you had your run - we're on ours now... just deal with it. M Go Blue 🏈
Actually - with this defense, the Bucks have a great shot to win the playoff. With the Ann Arbor rodents sitting on their couches watching. Pretty sure the Miami of Ohio kicker would taken nil check from the Bucks.
Simply put … let’s say you needed to secure a client each year, and for 4 years you lose that client. Bottom line … you’re FIRED! Get Day out, he’s a loser in the big games
Obviously hasn't seen the Cooper years because those were far worse because not only did we lose to UofM for nearly a decade but only won one Rose. Bowl even though year after year he had the absolutely best roster of talent in the country, for example Chris Carter, HOF wide receiver. One of the best left tackles all time. This years game the offensive play calling was not to lose and obviously you lose when you do that. He is so afraid to lose this game it changes the game plan. After getting humiliation in 2022 gaame then the game against eventual National Champion Georgia that Marvin got knocked out by what should have been targeting they still had to miss a field goal to lose. There is something about this rivalry. Tressel and Urban didn't lose to UofM but lost some games that they should not have lost. Day has never lost to Mich State and Purdue or Iowa or Penn State. He also beat Clemson in post season which Urban didn't do, 0-2. I thought the zone blocked running plays were a bad call and to continue to do so is on the coach. I am not going to blame 19-22 year olds for this loss. This was a badly called game on offense. The Defense played fabulously, good enough to win. This coaching staff must coach this game like the do every other game. I know that will make a lot of Buckeye fans head explode but overemphasizing this rivalry is destroying the coaching staff to blow the play calling. When they were underdogs in 2018 with a horrible defense they hung 62 and won going away. Handling success is almost as difficult as handling failure. The Buckeyes play far better historically when they are underdogs. 2002 vs Miami, 2014 vs Alabama in Sugar Bowl semi and then vs Oregon in the National Championship game. Inexperienced coach? I agree that he wasn't a head coach before but has coached offenses in the NFL and has put a few QBs in the NFL, clearly the most important position in football. As bad as it is its not John Cooper and you can't fire Day when he beats everyone else. What do you say if he runs through the playoff and wins the Natty and then a NFL team hires him away which could happen.
Ryan Day should’ve been fired years ago. But now it’s almost comical. What does he have to do to get fired? Who is Ryan Day sleeping with at Ohio State?
@@WT-Sherman I love the Sherman pfp BTW literally 🔥 Secondly, I don't know about that with the adjustment. The buckeyes made in the second half. The game plan that Martindale rolled out what's pretty on top of it. Never a fan of temple, if you can't pull it off
@@woodshed_moments I’m wondering how much control Chip had in play calling. The red zone calls have been a little weak the last couple games. Did great against the Ducks.
@WT-Sherman You talking buck eyes or wolverines? With Michigan Kirk Campbell. Unfortunately, they gotta give a little latitude. Otherwise they start running into breach issues. That's why the offense is looking kind of crazy. I'm thinking pretty much that Moore kind of made a mandate that he was gonna either hand in some plays. Or take over a little bit more of the play calling
The defense did their job. The offense? Ryan Day kept the wrong QB. All the QBs that left OSU are proving to be better. The play calls? Why does OSU consistently throw long passes on third and three or less? Why does OSU consistently they keep using the sideline pass with no blocking set up for the receiver? Is part of the playbook that if a play works well once, never use it again? And if a play doesn’t work, keep using it over and over? And lastly, when is Michigan going to be penalized for their call stealing? Their championship season wiped off the record? That cheating is far worse than players getting tattoos.
John Cooper 2.0 has to go! Day can not motivate the best talent in the NCAA to win a game. Cooper 2.0 loses THE GAME and the bowl games. I do not care what the buyout is, FIRE HIM! I am a 3rd generation alumnus who enrolled with Woody Hayes as head coach and was born and raised in the Columbus and I refuse to have this clown in the program.

They used the wide side option and he pitched it to Q for 15 yards and never ran that play again. Coaching malpractice.

It's really hard for me to believe that Chip Kelly was making these play calls. it had Day's name all over it
Nah way too much running
They used the miserable MISSOURI game plan
But we’re tough team. We are TOUGH! Where’s Lou Holtz?😂
Sawyer's interception was a gift to Shitigan. We get the ball, do nothing but run more time off the clock, then hand the ball back to Shitigan.
Hire Coach Nick Saban period!!!

Only 2 coaches in country with Nat. Tittles, and we’re not getting them. The rivalry will swing back soon enough.
You can’t convince young people that things can be different than any lived experience.
The reason why Chip Kelly didn't answer any questions is because if he did he would have had to say that it wasn't his call
Open the check book up for urban or saban

Ohio state tried to outside the whole game! Michigans lb were too quick. Will Howard was confused n your line couldn’t block Michigans front
Why didn’t we get Cam Ward? Why wouldn’t we get the most talented QB on the market if we have the best weapons in the game? It makes no sense.

If the Bucks would have gone up tempo the entire game - several TDs.
Correction, if the Bucks had gone up tempo, most of the game, it would have been several more interceptions.

But it worked at the end of 1st half. Plus - I think shots down field would have opened up.
