That’s such a great idea! I’ve always been told not to sew woven with my overlocker, but it’s well secured with 2 seamed twin stitches and 2 overlocker stitches.. so if anything more secure! Going to give this a try! Thank you x Also, when I do my corners, I use my tweezers and pull the threads to give some slack then turn the material, then sew.
Brilliant. Yes go for it. The sewing police will always be watching. You can see I didn’t trim off the two edges so can’t pull off the chaining forks to get a good neat corner so I whizzed off the edges. It’s not going to affect these corners. But I demonstrated how to on the last corner when I had trimmed off one edge.
That really does look nice and I think it will brighten up my poor old sofa for Christmas, I do hope you have plans for Christmas for decorating little bits that you can show us that would otherwise look dreary and drab over the Festive season, One thing I do love to celebrate is Christmas. Kind Regards Robert.
I had a friend route a piece of wood from my shed. It’s from a pallet. My mum always used them. They’re now sold as a clapper. Makes a huge difference. It’s old school. But that’s what we’re about here.
Make them any size to suit, Ive made all sorts of sizes over the years, from teeny ones to cheese board size for shirts. It depends what you want it for. This one is 25cm long
Another great project, Abi. Who knew you could use your serger?!? Well, now I do!
Love it! I make jelly roll pillows all yhe time using vintage themed fabrics😀
Oooh!! Love it!’
Wonderful
as hint of carpets in the overlock
I'd never heard of a jelly roll, but I like it!😁
It’s super! As a dressmaker, I really want to turn it into a wearable something really!

I would love to know what the wooden block is that you use after ironing your fabric and where we can get them from.
