Talk about 1947 war, India had the upper hand inspite of Pakistan's unconventional tactics. 1965 - it's ludicrous that Pakistan claims victory and celebrates it every year. As per neutral sources, India had the upper hand at the end of the war. India was able to inflict more damage inspite of the Pakistani military having better tanks and aircrafts at that point in time. Had the war continued for a few days more, India would have gone on to win it just like 1971. Moving on to 1971 - Pakistan had to surrender and India made it clear that Pakistan can never win a conventional war against India going all out. 1999 Kargil war, reinstatement of the above. Infact, I pity most of the Pakistanis, it's the misinformation and falsification of facts propagated through their textbooks and military dictators. It's something that has been deeply ingrained right from the start.

Not withstanding exchange of trolls both in India and Pakistan. Pakistan has an important role to play even more than Saudi Arabia with Pakistan being a nuclear power and having the best trained military amongst all the Islamic countries... The sponsoring of terrorism and the constant Anti India rant that exists in Pakistan decreases your legitimacy as a leader of the Islamic world. Again, just pointing out the facts here. A state of constant war is good for a country with a bigger economy and bad for a country with a smaller economy.

India is a 7000 year old civilisation. Pakistan is a 70 year old quasi-Islamic acronym.
You missed one imp dimension - post WW2, this conflict is indirectly fueled by US so that India had to jack up its defense spending at the cost of GDP and so US could sell Arms to Pakistan. US wanted to use this conflict as a lever to have influence in the region ( as Russia was India's best friend). Also, India liberated Bangladesh from Pak rule in 1971 where 90k Pak troops surrendered to India which is a world record and after that Pakistan openly confessed that since they can not fight India in conventional warfare, they want to bleed India slowly. Anyway, when these two countries are in an endless conflict, US and China are the biggest gainers.
I want to clarify one thing. British never gave independence to India. they gave independence to Bhutan, pakistan, Myanmar but not India. They gave Transfer of power (top) to India. they never officially mentioned on giving us independence.
