I don't know why they brought Jane Clifton back for a few episodes and then took her off again. on the third go round .I have to say again Margo was such a great character .she always livened up the episodes; whenever she came on board everything got kicked up a notch

Phyllis never ceases to amaze me.... She gets worse every episode and she is such a coward that she can only hurt people when she has a weapon to do the job for her.... Judy looks more natural as deputy top dog, she can handle that position adequately enough and without looking as ridiculous as when she tried to run the show. One of the guys working for Mr Renner is the same actor who played the bad guy Doug Lewis, the one who kidnapped Colleen's daughter. His partner in crime looks like John McEnroe too!

Your on the money there . I much preferred her in the half way house era more adult and balanced . Idk why the writers wanted to get her back inside as soon as Bea left . The Minnie and Cass partnership could have worked . Idk if the ratings sunk and they thought they had an ace in Judy to fill Bea's boots ? However if they watched earlier episodes they would have known Judy was never leadership material . They must have know viewers could not buy Judy as the hero of the show for long and wrote in another proto type Bea . In the re invention and re introduction of Myra .

I have a book by the late Betty Bobbit that I purchased in 2013, she and Reylene were the best of friends. She gave her ticket to Reylene for the Logies that year and Reylene forgot it. But she got into the auditorium. BTW, Prisoner didn't win any awards that year.

If it had been Joan, she would have been more thorough and she would have found the drugs.

Also, Joyce hasn't become a prudish, old-fashioned, but thoughtless, sometimes incompetent prison officer, who can become a gibbering wreck at the drop of a hat until the end of the 400's era. 😜

Its amazing how Meggy Pops is quick to run Myra Desmond to the Gov for putting her hands on Gloria yet she did nothing when Rick Manning shoved Sonia Stevens up against a wall and when she witnessed The Freak slap an inmate across the face (in later episodes). She knows Myra to be level headed so why not find out why she did that instead of running her off to (the weakest Gov this place has ever had) - Ann Reynolds. Myra has & does put up with a lot yet for the most part keeps her cool. Sadly, I eventually grew to hate the Meg Morris character.

The Freak really was mad she enjoyed having a powerful adversary then being in power , you'd have thought she'd want Myra equated in her trial and out of the Prison so she could have total control over the women rather then set her up for a long sentence in Wentworth she did the same with Bea.

In previous episodes, it WAS stated how Bea was causing problems with the drugs at Barnherst - but never that she had stopped it. The place was a wash with them and nothing says she was top dog there. Does that answer your questions?

In any case, remember that when Bea left Wentworth she was on her last legs --- both psychologically and physically speaking! Moreover, Bea no longer had a burning desire to be a top dog --- to be forced to bitch and bash --- all day and night for women who as soon as they cannot use you to get what they want or if they think you are getting weak --- will turn on you --- like sharks when they smell blood in the water!
Plus, let's not forget -- those bitches at Barnherst DO NOT PLAY.... In fact, for a long time, the drug trafficking has been organized, financed, and enforced by Fellows --- and almost ALL the women want "dem drugs"! LOL Bea wouldn't stand a chance going up against all the women who want drugs, the screws who allow it because it makes the women more docile and controllable, and Fellowes who has everyone in his pocket!
Its hard to believe with both Vera and Bea there that drugs would have taken over. Vera was pure law and order and considering she was the governor you'd expect the place to be grim and dry.
