    Its very easy for Reynolds and the lawyer to go telling Myra how she should keep out of trouble, but it is not always that easy for them in there. When you are trying to be framed in the way that Myra has been then its only a matter of time before you get yourself in hot water. Reynolds is partly to blame anyhow for not moving Gloria sooner, she knew there was bad feeling between them and should have made her transfer more of a priority.

    Myra was brought in as the show went through a rough patch. Since Bea left, the viewers hasn't taken to the replacement top dogs. So they brought in Myra as new Bea. They even recycled a lot of Bea's backstory for her - murdering her husband, a daughter with a drug problem. Some of the old characters such as Helen Smart, Doreen and Gaffney were also brought back temporarily to stabilise the show.

    So is Audrey's death what makes Ferguson so cruel to the prisoners and staff? The staff didn't protect Audrey so she hates all fellow staff and the same with every prisoner she meets because it was prisoners who killed Audrey!

      Unfortunately Margo never won a fight straight up in the beginning she always relied on her Heavies Bev and Lil. Other times she was always interrupted and managed to get off. Don't forget when Bea and Chrissie did the tar and feather routine and then later on in the aftermath of the fire they bashed her again and she lost that totally. So for her to go after Myra she was just probably so incensed she never knew what she was getting into and once again she got lucky. it was interrupted.

      That is indeed Noeline Burke's brother Col Burke, played by Brian Granrott.
      Brian looks different and sounds different as lawyer Bruce Harvey, so you probably wouldn't notice him straightaway.
      That's definitely good acting in being able to take a different role and making them believable and look and sound poles apart from each other. 😃

And although its still not quite the same without them still really good. Heart still breaking gor coleen....no wonder she hit the bottle for a while anyone would under those circumstances....

    I can now (after watching the series over ten times), that I would've held a grudge against any prisoner for what they did to Audrey. Joan must of really loved her. But Joan should've had Audrey re-located for protection. I know what it's like to hold someone you love dead in my arms. If her death would've been murder, I'd be as cold as Joan.

      You have me beat. I have seen Prisoner about five times now since 2009.And I agree with you on the death part too. I saw my father die in 2012 from cancer of the kidney and lungs.It's hard to watch your father go from a man that walked a mile and a half each day for ten years and lift things way heavier than he was go from 210 pounds to 150. He was a walking skeleton. Cancer is a BITCH and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

    Not sure which I dislike most - Margo or Reb, they're both pains !

    • @ShirleyMarieBradby
      @ShirleyMarieBradby 9 лет назад +2

      Alan Mclay Myra is a big pain in the ass as well! I mean all she had to do was to tell the judge the real reason for her rage and WHY she hit her husband! Of course, the nasty things he said about her and their sex life ( or lack of) are clearly not enough to justify a sudden rage that resulted in her hitting him over the head with a bottle so hard that she killed him in one blow! BUT -- if she had told the judge that --- he was laughing at her, all up in her face, bragging about the fact that he was thinking about having sex with his own daughter and that there was nothing Myra could do about it! Well, I think any court in the world would consider that to be extreme provocation ---- and knowledge of these facts would definitely get her sentence mitigated! Less jail time would mean that she could get out of jail faster and be with her son and daughter! Duh?! This should be so obvious......
      I can NEVER understand why these women will not speak UP when it is the right moment to speak up! They get all silent, hush-hush, and conservative about sex, babies, family relationships (incest, child abuse, domestic violence, etc.) --- when everything has already gone to shit! So SPEAK UP! Why try to "save face" when they should be thinking about "saving their ass"! LOL
      In conclusion, Myra is in jail now because she was too busy "sparing" her daughter from the the truth about her father! Consequently, because Myra has been feeding her daughter half-truths about her father for years; her daughter never had the chance to really UNDERSTAND why her mother did not want her to associate with him! Myra has only herself to blame....keeping silent has caused everyone more harm than good! Oh, well, it looks like Myra has just booked herself -- a permanent suite --- at Wentworth! LOL
