The actor who played the Freak's father, Carl Bleazby, was still with us until 2011 when he passed away at the age of 95.
I've seen Carl Bleazby in a couple movies as well as "Prisoner". I think he must have enjoyed playing the gruff but lovable nice guy. Because, that's exactly who the Major was. He's one of my favorite characters on the show. And, his ending still breaks my heart every time.
@@Nacho-Mamma Interesting info, thanks.
Joan getting propositioned was hilarious! 😂
It's interesting to see Joan with her father, she's a lot softer, almost a normal person. It's obvious that the loss of Audrey made her into the sadistic, cruel woman that is the freak. Maggie Kirkpatrick is a skilled and accomplished actress, able to play the two sides of Joan.
I don't think that anything to do with it I think she probably has a split personality
Others in this series have suffered and didn't behave in such a viral way.
Yes I agree. She won't allow anyone apart her father to get near her .
And so she believes all prisoners and even others are not worth it or real or whatever. Life can kinda get you like that that. It beats you and kicks you in the teeth .
@@kevintraynor4508
Yeah maybe
Well that's the final episode Doreen Burns/ Colette Mann is in, and what an ending for her. That poem she said on the tannoy system before leaving Wentworth had me laughing so much !!
Colette was one of the last of the original characters from episode 1, along with Meg and two cast members Tina and Lorna who were there too. They stayed until the end, even though they hardly had any lines.
Yes and Doreen aka Colette Mann can now been seen in Neighbours as Sheila Canning who runs the pub the Waterhole she is the mother of Gary Canning of course Collette is a lot older these days and her character in Neighbours is so different, speaking of which a future character in PCBH one, "Julie Eggburt" played by actress Jackie Woodburn would go onto to play Susan Kennedy in Neighbours a role that she still plays today and not forgetting Janet Andewartha who plays Reb Keen she also ended up in Neighbours Lyn Scully.
I very sure Colleen did Not appear epsoide 1, but yes was an on and off extra from very early in the series before she got a permanent role after Vera left.
@@MarkWhich she did her first line was where the bloody hell is lizzie lol
@@MarkWhich but Sheri451 is not talking about "Colleen", they're talking about "Collette Mann" the actor who played the part of "Doreen Anderson/Burns" (A.k.a > "Dor")
It has took me 2 months to watch this fam lol, but loving it a real nostalgic trip, so many memories in my life linked with this show. I used to watch it every Tuesday and Thursday 11.00 pm with my grandma, happy memories, i was only 10 years old. This is a true classic i'll always love.
I like Cass they may call her names but she is wise and funny....
mjtorrence Cass is cute👩
Very country wise.
@@TheKonga88
Cute and sweet. She another one of my favorite characters on the show.
Same here! I watchd it with my Grandmother every Friday night. i was about 10 i think too and as you say, so many great memories associated with Prisoner. For me, the absolute best TV series of all time.
To my nolidge it was on Tuesday&thursdays
@@michellewatts5907 When it was originally screened in Sydney, it WAS Tuesday and Thursday nights at 8.30pm.
I used to watch it with my grandmother as she loved the show, brings back good memories for me as my grandmother passed away last year
The Freak was looking for some fresh talent and wound up with Bobbie lol
+DJDelight_Musik Yeah... or she looked like maybe she spotted her earlier in the afternoon when she was near that fountain, and came back later to put the hard touch on her... lol
I just had that feeling earlier in the episode that the freak would catch Bobbie!!
it's funny how Joan and Bobbie the punk like to hang around fountains. you just knew Joan would catch her.👮
Barry Peters yep lol
+Carlene Boulden I'd be thankful to see Joan if I was in Bobbies shoes LOL
***** it really is bad when it's good to see the freak isn't lol. 😨😄
Carlene Boulden Yes it is LOL
The show was going through a difficult time before Myra came in - the viewers hadn't really liked the replacement top dogs since Bea left, and since Val Lehman said she absolutely wasn't ever coming back, they created Myra as a kind of replacement Bea. They also recycled so much of Bea for Myra. Killing her husband, the drug addict daughter, escaping for prison for her daughter.
So Bobbie is on the run and we see the police walk past her bold as brass and she does not even flinch lol.
It's Kings Cross - the cops aren't there to catch criminals. They are there to take kickbacks.
I think everyone's looking at the weird hairdo rather than the face. Lol. Looks like a clown with all those colours.
Different state before technology too.
@@ecolin4906 Imagine being on the run but dressing like that
I like the storylines involving Sydney in Prisoner😃
I love the look on Bobbi and Fergi face at the end. Also I think that is the best thing to happen to Bobbi at the time. She shouldn't be there.
Finally (I think) Fergo has done something right in finding Bobby
Funny how Joan never told Daddy about his granddaughter Lucy and the recent trouble she caused.
+G quinn Joan probably thought it would make him upset, even now with the diagnosis of leukemia.
Mayb deleted scene or uncontinuous
Aunty joan😝😝😝😝
39:51 The drunk with Ferguson 😅😅😅😅 " How much love" bloody hell, sorry mate.
Drunk propositions Joan...has a closer look - "Bloody hell, sorry mate!"
What an exit for Doreen!!! That made me laugh. Considering Bobbie's situation, I think this would be one of the few times a prisoner should be happy to see Joan.
Barfield had the most lines she's ever had in years in this episode.
So glad, she deserves it for all the times onscreen saying nothing
😮😮ƙ@@paulbrown6464
Doreen finally matured a little and grew up some. It's nice to see her act like someone with some common sense lol
She got herself back into prison because she couldn't just tell a man she didn't want to marry him. That wasn't mature and it didn't demonstrate common sense. Doreen was obnoxious, annoying, and ridiculously immature from beginning to end.
Try to stay away this time Doreen, PLEASE!...39:53 Drunk guy to Fergo was a scream. "How much love? Bloody hell, sorry mate!"...You're getting carted Bobby.
Why do you bothered typing you're not saying anything that we haven't just seen . Maybe a comment would be more appropriate
Tina Bursill is at her most attractive as Sonia in these last couple of episodes as the character. She's still my favourite prisoner from the entire series' run. An actual normal person with flaws that make her a criminal. As opposed to the comic book baddies that they make a lot of the prisoners out to be. Or even the faux heroines like Bea Smith.
Sonia was for me the most genuinely real character. Consider the fact that it was Bobby who tortured Sonia with the snake business. And yet Sonia point blank saved Bobby from the chop by making up reasons for saving her.
I can’t stop watching!! Thank you for uploading these!❤️❤️❤️
34:00 LOL oh whoever dressed Bobbi OMG 😂😂Kizz hairdo, snakes and ladders top and pink stockings OH no!! LOL
So this is really where the first generation ends with Dorren leaving the series Lizzy and Bea left recently.
Still have Meg Morris who has been in the show since episode one
All the good ones are gone.
There are still a couple of background characters that have stuck around since the beginning. One, if I'm not mistaken, is the older inmate with the mid length dark brown curly/wavy hair. I can't remember her name though. Being on my 33rd run of the series, you'd think I would remember.
Lorna Young - played by Barbara Jungwirth?
What an excellent bow out from dor 🤣🤣
I can understand why Doreen wants to stay. In a twisted way, you can so easily become "institutionalized" esp when your a young pre-teen as a "Ward of the State".
39:53 "how much love?
"Bloody ell, sorry mate!!" lmao
Loved that.
Poor Joan.. Loves her Dad! 😪
Poor Major, more like. He'd disown the b*tch if he knew about half the heinous acts and corruption she got away with... lol
myra's prosecutor=the weasel
8:38 - So he got her from Kings Cross to Manly wharf and he only has a 20 minutes...? Not bad for a 30 minute ferry trip one way. And he has to get all the way back to Randwick... Bobby is so far from her pimp at this time that she could just take off if she wanted to.
I lived in Manly a few years before this and worked in Martin Place in Sydney. The ferry took about 40 minutes (1 way) then.
Tina Bursil, just how good looking is this woman? An absolute belter.
Omg really
What lol ? Really . She’s very plain looking in my opinion
Doreen had way too much fun with that PA system! hahahaha
im gonna miss doreen , she was a nice change from seeing the same ladies all the time, what a good character she was right along with bea, lizzie, erica, jim and many others. but the show will keep moving on, I will be watching this right up to the last episode to see how it ends. what a great show, it is simply a classic. love it.
I totally agree!
me too, then probably start from the beginning again, lol.
It was nice to see how Doreen evolved, particularly now and in the 350s when she was assisting Bea. I always had a love-hate relationship with Doreen. But she left while I was loving her.
Hm. Joan had a brother to whom she was close enough to confide something incredibly personal. What happened to him?
Apparently in earlier story lines the brother was the Dads favorite and Joan resented that . Maybe she had no one else near her to turn to , grief can bring people together.
There's her brother Ted, who's Lucy's father. We never heard of him again.
@@Mynewlife2025 True.
This storyline with Bobbi getting forced on the game isn't a rehash of the Susie Driscoll storyline, is it? I found that storyline really tedious!
Yes, but it happens to so many kids like her.
Not exactly. Susie was a good little girl and was out legally. Bobbie is considered an escapee and has obviously been around the block a few times.
No not evan such a diffent storyline
Susie couldn't act
How much love? Bloody hell sorry mate😂😂😂😂😂
Pixie may have a certain unworldliness to her but "a little kid," as Judy called her, she is certainly not.
I find it really annoying when grown women/men are referred to as ‘little kid’.
@@Kawijazz Yes, that was a bit much on Judy's part. Pixie has a niave quality to her but she is a grown woman.
Judys in love with Pixie though so that's disgusting
Margo deserves the mother of all beatdowns along with Phyllis and Reb.
Sonia scrubs up well.
Tired of The Freak’s smirk but its good she found Bobbie. I wish Bobbie had run away with Jack though.
Funny that Renner’s gang clocked Stevens with Bobbie, but missed Bobbie going all over Sydney with Jack.
LMAO when Joan Ferguson taps on Bobbie's shoulder in Sydney! 🤣
That man thought fergerson was a man! LMAO!
Myra Desmond's luck truly got cut short....damn, 8 with 5!
What is it with Margo and lighting fires
Myra must have been found guilty of manslaughter. In those days it was mandatory to impose a 'life' sentence for murder - minimums were not specified.
For the very first time I am happy to see the frigging freak, which was at the end of this episode. LOL!
Powell always wanted to cheat on Patrick knew it wouldn't take her long to move on
Margo calling Mason pea brain, so apt. Love me some Margo. I don’t care how bad she is being but I adore Margo, plus she used Mason as an ashtray, go Margo!
the sun is shining..makes a change. but then it is Sydney and not Wentworth.
The Freak finds Bobbi, those gangsters don't stand a chance now!
Farewell Doreen !
So.. Myra's middle name is 'June..' And Bea's middle name was 'May'? Wow.. the writers of this show had imagination in spades. lol
They recycled so much for Myra from Bea. The murder of the husband, the drug addict daughter. The escape because of the daughter. The show was going through a difficult time before Myra came in - the viewers hadn't really liked the replacement top dogs since Bea left, and since Val Lehman said they absolutely wasn't ever coming back, they created Myra as a kind of replacement Bea. They also brought back in old characters for a period to try and stabilise the show - Helen Smart, Doreen and Gaffney.
Bea's middle name isn't May it's Alice
Margo always walks "shifty" lol
Joan's father is a good man. He doesn't deserve a daughter like her.
Agreed but at least she's very good to him and clearly he means a lot to her.
/me thinks there are only 30 actors in Australia...
Remember that it was only on once a week and no way to see it again only reruns. So people probably forgot .

I miss bea and Lizzy so much 😮
@Shirley Smitten: Reb's 1950 gentleman's look is deliberate, the character is meant to be a James Dean fanatic.
redhairkid Makes me think of the musical Grease and Rizzo {Stockard Channing
She does look like Rizzo now you mention it, Cathy.
redhairkid isn't it her?
It's not Stockard Channing, Jess, the actress is actually Janet Andrewartha, originally born in America but emigrated to Australia as a young girl, consequently becoming a citizen. Janet now portrays Lyn Scully in 'Neighbours'.
Darn. They could pass as sisters.
It might be just me but does anyone else think that Myra always looks like she has an unpaid gas bill playing on her mind? At 25:36 shes clearly thinking she's going to have the gas cut off soon if it remains unpaid for much longer.
😆😆😆😆how true
With a daughter like that who needs enemies. Families are supposed to stick together. Shame on that little witch.
Doreen: come Mr. Manning before you change your mind about that charge 😂
6:54 omg the milk carton has changed!
Myra's jury are a bunch of jerks!
Margo better learn that Myra doesn't jack around. You don't screw with Mrya Desmond.
I hope Bobbie memorized that number. I bet she was relieved to run into ferguson for once.
31:40....... God Stevens has done herself up really well since she was in the nic
lol @ 39:53 "how much love?" pmsl the freaks face was a picture lol
The "Oscar" winning acting in P.C.B.H. is more worthy of a "Wooden Spoon" award.
aaahhhh our Joan...bless her heart
I never thought I would be glad to see Joan Ferguson!
Myra's case was culpable homicide not murder
+Pamela Hanlon Totally justifiable. She deserved a medal for getting rid of the trash.
8:07 Bobbi's hair reminds me of the Bride of Frankenstein. 10:20 The judge's robes and wig reminds me of Santa Claus. If he only had a gray beard. 35:55 Po Face has a boyfriend! 38:20 For as many times the inmates started a fire, you would think they would not alllow them to have matches or lighters.
Haha the Bride of Frankenstein ...that's fucking brilliant!!
Poor Bobby really gets the rough end of the stick
a severe punishment of 8 years? thats not severe thats getting off light!
6:42 a blue... yes that's right... a blue milk carton and not green...!! 😱😱😁
All those 80s short shorts..!!
yes it is the same guy, he was Jim Fletchers old army buddy that turned evil !
Yes.
Bobbie being put through some SAS selection interrogation there! She did well! LOL
it would be amazing if the bullies pick on someone that will fight back
Bye Doreen another great actress gone gone miss you and teddy
Barfield spoke!
16:00 wouldn't happen nowadays with the convenience of mobile phones lol.
The freak getting propositioned 😂😅
What is wrong with Meg. Forgetting things and messing up inductions. Something's brewing.
Sleeping tablets
I feel sorry for bobbie
"Can you imagine Joan Ferguson in a bikini on Bondi Beach ? At least she'd frighten away the sharks!" - this cruel and inconsiderate dialogue caused nothing but problems - I spat my dinner out laughing and my plate slipped on my lap,so I now have a meal filled with carpet fluff, and stained clothes...and also a gravy-splattered computer screen.
As if gross Jude would look any better !!!
Will miss Doreen , she's been so funny in her last episodes of the series
"Hawaii is far more appealing than The Wentworth Detention Centre" If it was...I've been wasting all these hours watching this stuff instead of "Hawaii 5-0".
Judy 'you have got to do something Myra' Bryant.
Looking forward to Phyllis leaving
Aww that was a nice little affectionate tap on the chin Joan gave Bobbie with the paper just there.
I love Colleen. But seriouslt youe young son just recently got blown to bits. Yoyr teenaged daughter just got blown to bits. And tour husband just got blown to tiny pieces... I know thar did a brief run through of her drinking and being upset.
But seriously its just that right how soon she is starting to come to terms with not just their deaths all at once very quickly, but the way they died. She's to sane and in control, making plans, selling the house, have business dinners. My mother would have to be in a mental home on 24hr watch for.mouths if that happened to her.
Everyone grieves differently
I'm married to a Yank. In the states you're given 5 days bereavement for the death of a child. After that you're expected to be back at work.
Didn’t anyone give ‘Kurt’ the memo about short sleeves and ties?
Jeez Davo’s really let herself go at 22:08 😂
26.45 ish. Judy re Pixie, "she didn't want to lag, but...". Telling your mates about. Misdemeanour isn't lagging; it's not like she grassed to a screw!?
You stayed up until midnight on schooldays at 10 years old? Wow!
So did I lol . Most of us did to watch prisoner
Phyllis 'what's in it for me' is such a whinger...
Wait what is Alf Roberts character called ? Reno ? Isn't that what the prisoners call Anne Reynolds? 🤔
Renner
lol "my family was just murdered"...."well, how would you like to jump into bed with me?".
The guy is from Gunnedah nsw not canada.lol
Just read that the actor who plays Bobbi died last year age 58.
So we call 30plus year olds kids?
They owe the weasel way worse than Gaffney, and Keane. They need to get her bad!!!
Mrs Barfield making a rare speaking appearance!
Mrs Barfield had a line!
I knew things would pick up the minute Margo came back and as I said how many times will she get bashed this time ?one thing you can say about Margo: she is what she is. I don't know if they ever do this but it would be nice if they do a backstory on her character the way they did with some of the others Bea Chrissy Joan Ferguson Vera Meg .We all know a little bit of their background --what got them to where they are today .I hope they do something with Margo before she exits the show for good.
