It's a bit sad to see Myra, Judy and Pixie together in those scenes... All 3 have now passed away in the last 2 years, with the American actress who played Judy passing on just a few weeks ago at the end of November, 2020.
And sadly, Alan Hopgood, star of Neighbours (Jack Lassiter) and Prisoner (Albert “Wally” Wallace), died on the 19th of March, aged 87. 😲🙁
@@Summer21. Yeah, heard that unfortunate news from Talking Prisoner the other day. They interviewed him recently too. That interview is now priceless. Good work from them.
Also the actress who played Mrs Barry died a few weeks before the actress who played Judy
Betty Bobbitt played Judy. And, she's been gone for some time now. I was lucky enough to become friends with her the last couple years before she passed away. She was such a beautiful, kind soul. Her passing was a huge shock.
@@Nacho-Mamma There's some interview footage of her and Anne Phelan from 2000 on Talking Prisoner just posted the other day. Quite cool. Her son did the interview with them after she passed away about 2 years ago.

They have a trainees open day. Bea escapes.
Work release at the textile factory. Judy escapes again.
Work release renovating a house. Doreen escapes.
Bus trip to a singing contest. Phyllis grabs a gun and escapes.
And now they put on a fete and Myra escapes.
Wouldn't it be nice if just once there was an event without an escape?
Don't forget hospital, laundry trucks...

All of this obviously escaped the attention of the department.
Absolutely love this episode, The Fete/Myras escape has always been one of my favourite storylines.

Very good quick thinking from Pixie there when Joyce walked in on her and Myra, I'm surprised she had the ability to avoid panicking and ruining everything. Some great one-liners in this episode, especially Bobbie's one about the encyclopaedias. Good to see Wally once again. Not sure Myra's thought the reasons for her escape attempt through. Being caught will result in extra time keeping her away from her kids for even longer as well as stopping any future fete or similar event taking place.
I met Judy Mcburney (Pixie) in 1992 in London after a show she was in, only I didn’t know who she was at the time.
i hate that cass left that way.

I'm telling this. Using a nail file to pick a lock DOES NOT WORK! I thought I lost my locker key at work and I bought a nail file like Myra used and it didn't open the lock. But fortunately I found the the key to it.

What did Pixie say? It sounded like Shepherds pie being fattening? Betty Bobbit says in her book they got sunburned when they were filming the fete scenes. The little girl that played Barbie the daughter of Hazel Kent, was in real life; the daughter of the man that played Wally.
This would have been filmed in about February 1984 and it gets pretty sunny and hot in Melbourne at that time of year.

Phyllis is not supposed to be as smart as Reb, however Reb is too fixated on some kind of revenge to do the intelligent thing. Getting rid of Myra would be an enormous plus for her.
I know how to read palms (was taught back in the late 70s) but it can be a dodgy thing to do. 25 years ago I had to tell one young-ish lady that she'd have a long life but there was no sign of any children. Turned out she had her heart set on having a big family but, as I was told later, her husband and her had had no luck conceiving yet. I felt bloody awful telling her what was plain to see in her hand but how was I to know? Now I don't let on that I can as it's safer that way. What's in people's hands isn't always what they want to hear.....
