PetSafe for the WIN!! After cleaning both boxes this week the convenience of just throwing the box away and replacing it with a new one is worth every penny!!

But isn’t it cost prohibitive to replace those trays every week? I’m seeing prices of $20-$25 per tray in my online search! They advertise one tray for 20 to 30 days but reviews I am saying indicate a week is more like it. IMO SmartScoop Was the best. Quiet effective easy to use, the only thing wrong with it is it apparently came too close to some copyright owned by Another litter box maker. They lost the court case sold the company and now if you can find them at all they are slightly different, probably too skirt the copyright infringement, and definitely less effective.

The hood one, had poop behind it because the poop was smaller than the forks that were trying to scoop it out. Once ur kitty grows and has bigger poops. It'll work better.🙂

Have you seen there is a refillable tray for the petsafe one? The crystal litter is fairly cheap and the tray is coated in teflon or something it slides right off.
Yes thank you I did see that. I don’t want to mess with dirty litter at all or the mess if poop gets stuck in the rake. I’m thrilled with the litter robot!! Do you use the the refillable? How do you like it?

You should not have their food and water next to the litter box . You don't eat in the bathroom. Also the water and food should be separated because they will choose food over water. They are food motivated.

@@FunnyFarmHomestead That person is trying to say they r more prone to eating food and will ditch water. many cat owners feed wet food bc they often dont drink enough water. but to combat this get a fountain. they drink from those much more.
but personally... i dont think anyone would need to separate their water and food bowl. WTF

I cracked up at this!! Kane all up in your business. We have a plain old liter box and I hate it. Looking forward to seeing what you decide.
The cats have pretty much decided for me because they only use the PetSafe with the hood. Apparently they’re shy and like the privacy?? LOL.
I did find out that you can get a reusable tray for that litter box so other than costing a little bit more to buy it wouldn’t cost any more on a regular basis so I think it’s the winner 🥳
However, the natures miracle has a larger waist receptor so it doesn’t need to be changed as often.
There are pros and cons to both 🤷🏻♀️

We had two cats at one time, in a small home. We went with petsafe. I really controlled oders very well. Side note one of the funniest moments of my life watching my goof ball cats watch it for the first time. Lmao I wish I would have recorded.

As it turns out I ended up with the Litter-Robot because I was having to change the pet safe box every five days which made it incredibly expensive and the boxes are big to dispose of. The crystals didn’t absorb odor at all.

Thank you for this review, I am thinking of buying a litter robot but I have 1 concern about it which is that since the poop touches the surface of the ceiling before it goes through the hole to the receptacle below, that ceiling would get dirty. When your cat goes in it, wouldn't its head touch that ceiling surface and it would end up with poop smear on its head?

@@Tom-nd1fs That hasn’t been an issue. Since it’s clumping litter there really shouldn’t be poops mirrors. As I look at the ceiling there is a little bit of dust but I’ve never noticed anything on my cats ears. I still love the machine!! Thanks so much for watching

I was told that the litter gets sticky and causes problems and to use the crystal with this litter Box what is your opinion
One of these is made for crystals, the other is designed for clumping litter but crystals worked best in both.

I have the Petsafe Scoop Free litter box; it was gifted to me when I adopted 2 kittens this summer. I am paying $69.00 plus tax for my Petsafe disposable trays; I get them from Amazon, which is $23.00 for 3 trays. Can you recommend another vendor where I can purchase these trays cheaper?

They have Box trays that come with the crystal in it it's for the other self cleaning one. can you use that same Box tray will it fit

I am wondering, since it rotates, does the waste on the top of the box end up on your cat?
Nope.
I worry that it’s not safe as the rake didn’t stop when the kitty was in watching
Watch my other video where I review the litter robot. That’s what I ended up keeping and I’ve had it for years.
Mine will detect them and stop. I don't use a hood though, so I wonder if it is blocking the sensor or something

You DON'T have to use their litter and you DON'T have to throw away "The Box" every time.
I'm using one with "sophresh" advanced odor control scoopable cat litter and it works, I don't have a hood on mine.

Thank you. I hope you found it helpful. As it turns out I ended up getting the Litter-Robot because I was having to change the PerSafe box every 5 days. The crystals don’t control odor as well as clumping litter.
The Litter-Robot uses clumping litter that ends up dumped in a bag so disposal is easy. It’s more expensive but considering you’re not tossing a $17 box cartridge every five days it pays for itself in a few months. Check it out 👉🏼 share.litter-robot.com/3mpBpn
