These are in stock now. So I had to pull the trigger on it and I have to agree. Very solid guitar. For the same cost, it is better than the Grote high end 335 copy with flamed top and trapeze tailpiece. It is not perfect. On mine the frets were in serious need of polishing and there was a small finish flaw that you have to look for to see. Otherwise it is a fantastic bargain for the cost. I got mine in two days. It played fine right out of the box. Just tuned her up and she sang for me. Highly recommended and this is from a guitar tech .
My IYV -IJZ 500 Jazzbox just got delivered and i am waiting to let it acclimate before tuning etc...It is a stunningly beautiful guitar! This model will be my next guitar. Your reviews are right on point and helped me make my decision to get the big one. Now i need to get this model too. If it is anything like the 500 model i will be very satisfied. Good job!
it is actually the closest copy of the Gibson ES-175 but with a TOM bridge or Epiphone ES-135 style. I own this guitar and i love it! I own several IYV guitars
@@50CJAZZ The ES-135 has a Trapeze tailpiece and either P-90’s or Humbuckers. The ES-137 has a stop tailpiece and either Humbuckers or P-90’s. The P-90’s may be dog ear rather than soap bar on the ES-137.

This IYV IJZ300 is a design style from the Gibson ES135. IYV has since rounded the cutaway tip on the newest versions because it was too exacting to the ES135 shape. IYV makes another Jazz guitar but it's a full hollow body/archtop, the IJZ500 and its design style is from the Gibson ES175.
Hello Enso! Another great review! I just placed my order for one! It will be my first IYV! I've heard great things about them! Can't wait to receive it! Also - I can't believe that they can make this guitar and sell it for $200 (or less)! Amazon gave me instant discount. Total price: $176.00 on Amazon! Plus Free Shipping! There's never been a time like this for guitarists and I LOVE IT!
Great review. (Thank you!) My first instruments are bass guitar and piano, and I tend towards Jazz, Bossa Nova, Blues (no real hard rock). I generally play through Logic Pro in a studio setup, and I collaborate with other musicians from afar. I play a Hofner Club bass with black nylon tape wound strings, which I like because it's small and light and has a kind of woody, almost upright tone. I would like to pick up a hollow or semi-hollow jazz guitar to contribute accompaniments where appropriate, so this will be my first guitar. Question: You've given nice review for both this guitar (IYV IJZ-300 TSB Jazz Electric Guitar) and the IYV ITF-400 TRD PRS Guitar (also an IYV semi-hollow body, with perhaps less expensive/ornate furnishing, but two p90 pickups, which I like). If you had to pick from these two IYV guitars, irrespective of the small price difference, which would you choose? I'm assuming you would go with the IYV IJZ-300 TSB Jazz Electric Guitar, as I also picked up the excellent RUclips video where you detailed modifications you made to your IYV IJZ-300. Should I go with the IYV IJZ-300 over the IYV ITF-400 with p90s? Sincerely best.
I just got mine back. I did not need to do anything. It was perfect out of the box. I added locking tuners, a graphite nut and new tone knobs. I love this guitar
Hello, thank you for your comment. This guitar is very heavy compared to most guitar solid or semi-hollow. the weight varies a lot, one of seven and a half pounds, and I had another one that waited nine and a half pounds. I prefer the heavy ones. Best regards.
@@ENSOTAVES Hi, thanks. This guitar looks so damn beautiful but I think I have to consider ergonomics like weight and slim D neck might not be good for me either. I just wanted a cheap, well-made, nice looking light guitar to shred on, so I was also eyeing the ITF-400 (the red tele-ish with the P90s which I think you also have). That one is definitely lighter right? I'd say I'm looking 7 lbs and under for sure..
Kali Wardancer Yes, that Guitar is lighter. I have to say that it was not for me, despite like it looks so very much, and even in tone I love the tone of that guitar. But the neck profile was just not for me. I recommend you give it a try and get your own conclusions
@@ENSOTAVES Yeah I guess I can always return it if I don't like it (the Tele one). I just thought I'd try and find out as much as I could before buying. Thanks for your help!
That's what this is - basically a Gibson Byrdland Style Guitar. Some call it a Gibson ES-175 type. . . . but I've seen the Byrdland many times and I'm certain this IS the replica of Byrdland Guitar. I just ordered mine today.
Gracias por tu honesta opinion sobre esta guitarra IYV. Terminé ordenandola en Amazon y minutos después aparece "Sold Out" se vendieron todas. Algún día haz un video review de la guitarra Firefly LP para escuchar tu opinion personal.
It is a loving copy of a Gibson ES-175T (the thinner version of a ES-175). I love mine, especially after a professional setup. I will replace the tuners with lockers and leave the rest as is.
It looks like a Gibson ES-135TC. T for Thinline and C for cut away. Not normally a fan of pointy Florentine horns. I usually prefer the softer, rounded Venetian cut away horns. But I will make an exception in this case for this guitar.
Friend gave me his, it plays well and feel pretty good overall. My only gripes are that the pickups are really muddy and plastic sounding no matter how I set them up and the tone knobs are not really useful. Otherwise, great guitar for the cost. I want to replace the electronics, but I know doing that with a semihollow is major undertaking.
Ric Mel Hello, thank you for your comment. I am happy that my come and help you realize something that does not work for you. In my case I love heavy GUITARS for studio work, but if it is for gigging I understand why weight might be an issue.
TJ FORGEY Good point, they had a model with a paper veneer, but they got so many people complaining about it that they started to put back wood veneers on that model. This one is for sure all wood, solid and true mahogany, nothing to worry here.

Hello, thank you for your comment. I believe so yes, however I believe the AGR full hollow-body correct me if I'm wrong. This is just a semi-hollow oh, this also is a fixed bridge, very different from a floating Bridge. Very different tones.

Two questions: 1) How much does it weigh? 2) How thick is the body? It's a beauty of a guitar.

Yes I do, indeed as first Electric. If you are new to guitars I recommend an acoustic instead. Best Regards!
