My problem is that fish too slow. I tend to spend too much time on the same spot, fishing slowly. In my home province here im South Africa we have a LOT of grass and structure in the private farm dams i fish. As a teacher i have access to these unpressured dams that is not well maintained as the farmers use them for irrigation mainly and therefore i fish weightless texas rigged soft plastics 90% of the time. Will HAVE to adjust as well. This is a great video as always, Tyler. Tight lines, brothers from a cold South Africa.

I have a similar problem. Though it's partially not my fault. I bank fish. So I'm limited to where I'm allowed and able to fish. So I end up staying longer than I should bother to sometimes. I've been getting better. I'll just fish 30-75 minutes. If I'm not catching fish I'll either pack up and go home or find a different spot

Your channel always makes total 100% sense.
Years ago, super hot day in July, bank fishing with a purple ribbon worm , Texas rigged bullet sinker. One of the biggest bass I ever caught at a small overfished not well maintained south central lake.

Big Texas rigged worm is my go to in the dog days of summer. I always keep Berkley 10" Powerbait power worms on my boat in the summer. Not only are they an absolute magnet for my favorite bass to chase (small mouth) but they just produce when those water temps climb into the 80's and 90's.

Good advice! Summer is tough even in Kentucky but they can always be caught. Just have to slow down and think about what you’re doing!

I spent a lot of time watching other boats last year. Our lakes were at record lows and 9/10 boats were power fishing the bank, even as the water was still falling! That made me want to fish below then and go a little slower. If I had wind it was a 4.3" swimbait or larger and when it slowed I went to a tube and Tiny Child's rig. It seems to be working, find larger than average fish in areas that everyone else is just blowing through!

Are Carolina rigs good for _muddy-bottom_ ponds?
I was told bottom contact baits don't do well on muddy bottoms.

I think we are running out of content. Maybe too frequent on the videos. Have always appreciated you. Seems like lately you’re trying too hard to put out a video frequently vs using your knowledge and experience. I don’t think we needed a tutorial on how to fish a drop shot and all the other most common set ups. Again, appreciate you, but kind of at the point of not wanting to click on your stuff.
