Caught in the middle between Final Fantasy IV’s and Final Fantasy VI’s unmistakably dramatic narratives, many are overly eager to dismiss the game’s more light-hearted tone.
But don’t be fooled, since along with an ambitious job system, which affords players some fantastic game play options and greatly adds to the game’s replay value, Final Fantasy V also features a story worthy of the Final Fantasy name. An epic tale of adventure and a commitment to humour which has left its mark on the Final Fantasy series in more ways than one.
