Is there a way to adjust the amount of the screen that’s used in Apple car play? I noticed when I connect my phone and use hos it’s only a fraction of the screen in my 21 Challenger GT
Unfortunately not, it's a fixed display for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in uConnect 4
The only thing I wanted to know about and you never mention it. What the hell is the button on the right side of the radio screen that looks like an H with a half circle? It’s under the map button if you have navigation
Ah, that's for HD radio. Some radio stations broadcast in a digital format that leads to audio with less noise and more text info
Can I put this in my 2016 Challenger sxt?
If you can find one you technically could.. may need to have the dealer program a few things though
I just bought a new 2022 challenger.. unconnect 4 but it does not have Sirius satellite option or icon. Why would that.. thanks
The entry uConnect 4 screen won't have SiriusXM, it's the 4c that will have it.. A workaround would be to download the phone app and then stream audio that way.. it'll work but will use up phone data

I'm in Canada ;) You could technically swap it if you find a Canadian spec cluster though
When I had an iphone I could press the vr button on the steering wheel and it would activate siri. I have an andriod phone now and pressing the vr button only activates the vehicles assistant. Not google.
If you're connected through Android Auto the press would activate your Google Assistant but I don't think there's support for Google Assistant outside of that

What do you do if the navigation icon is not on the screen
If you don't have factory navigation then the icon won't be there. Check with your selling dealer to see if they can unlock the feature but if not you can only use navigation through your phone when connecting to Android Auto or Apple CarPlay
Question, I paired my android phone to my 2023 Challenger. No pop-up to add my contacts. How do I download them to my car? I have the navigation system as well. Thank you, Tom
If the connection pop up didn't show the easiest thing to try would be to remove the vehicle connection from the phone and the phone connection from the vehicle and then re-connect

Missing XM Radio, I believe previous owner deleted it off app screen somehow!

There wouldn't be a way to just delete it.. SiriusXM was an add on option for the screen in some lower trims so if it's not under Media--> Sources then your car doesn't have that function
@@CarsWithSteve correct, adding it with a Vais Kit, unbelievable it could even be ordered without XM!! Checked Build and Vin found out, No potatoes!!
Ah vais kit makes sense. If the build shows Sirius the last owner could have used Tazer for a tune which is known to delete certain buttons. Would be useful if there was an easy way to enable it aftermarket it though.. Run through Android Auto or CarPlay?
@CarsWithSteve ah rather just have it run through the Screen and not Screw around with phone, it's a 6 speed! Nicely equipped too that's what is stupid! Blacktop edition, power Sunroof which I wouldn't have ordered, Beautiful condition Bright Red 9000 miles and it is my Weekend Fun Car. Drives Awesome, after warranty out, Cam, LIFTERS, Hellcat manifolds, a little exhaust work and Tune have close to 500 hp then! Thanks for Chatting

Sick build you've got but damn those post-warranty upgrades are going to make you love it even more! Check with some scrap yards around you to see if they have one of the uConnect 4 screens and then have your service dept program it to your VIN
You're telling me Uconnect 5 is not available even on the new Dodge Challengers?
not yet.. the Challenger and Charger are most likely uConnect 4 for the final gas production year (2023 models) and then will most like shift to uConnect 5 when they go electric in 2024
Wait so is there such thing as wireless carplay?
Yes there is! But the uConnect4 system doesn't support it. The redesigned 2025 will have wireless though...

I have a question, if my challenger uconnect system does not come with navigation can it be added to it?
Depends on the year but some of the 8.4" screens just need navigation activated by the dealer for a fee. Check with your dealership service dept to see if yours has an activation code. If it doesn't you'd have to replace the screen with one that has the GPS antenna
I don't have navigation, but I can connect the maps from my phone to the unconnect through the USB port. It will project through the screen where you can see the map.
If I was to purchase a UAQ out of a jeep would it work in my dodge?
It would have to get programmed but the thing I'd be concerned about is not having all the same apps. uConnect 5 isn't available in the Charger/Challenger lineup yet so you'd miss out on Performance Pages and a few other features assuming the swap goes ok
@@CarsWithSteve no not the 5, I found a UAQ 8.4 ucoonect 4 that has come out of a 2019 keep and wanted to know if they are cross compatible or if the UAQ 8.4 4C in the keep is not the same as the ones for dodge or Chrysler. I have a 2017 Chrysler 300c with a UAQ I could take it out of but won’t if I can’t use it.
@@gottiboutmoney anytime a screen is swapped out some features may just work but re-programming will probably need to happen to get full functionality

So you’re telling me that there isn’t a way to do Apple CarPlay without having the USB plugged in?
Unfortunately no other way. uConnect 4 only supports wired android auto and Apple CarPlay

It's not straight forward. You did not show how to make the navigation come up in android

Plugged my android in and nothing happened..
Make sure that your phone is up to date. If it is, try another data port. If that doesn't work, replace the USB cable with a manufacturer original. So if you're using a Samsung, get a new Samsung USB cable
