I have a 2005 silverado crew cab and really want some hard bass im looking towards these but i dont know much if i need 2ohm or 4ohm what would you recommend has to be behind the seat i have 4 kids
Would you go with 3 JL audio 13.5 under seat downfireing or 6 8” subwoofers under-seat facing out, the JLs would be on 1800watts and the 8s would be on a 7100 witch one would hit lower and be louder I really just once something that hits nice and low but also will have some quality not just a muddy mess
No. If we compare it to the DD 608F which is only $70 more it would be a bloodbath. However, you can fit these in places you couldn't fit a full size 8" sub.
Tbh fs doesn't mean much. It's where the driver naturally resonates in free air. It matters the most in a sealed box, since sealed boxes raise the fs and also start rolling off at the fs. In a ported box it means nearly nothing. There are a dozen examples of companies designing subs to smash lows in ported boxes, and they normally end up raising the fs to play lows better.

Would it be worth it to instill these on a trunk lid? I was thinking 2 or 4. I don’t want a huge box so shallow would be better space wise.

6 8s would absolutely be louder than 3 slim 13.5" subs
