- One of the questions I get asked the most is how I was able to transition my beginner blog into a real business in just 1 year. In October of 2016 I bought my blog domain, I launched my blog in January of 2017, and by October of 2017 I left my full-time job to work for myself full-time. It was a bit crazy and amazing all at the same time. But today, I want to share my experience with you. How I was able to turn my blog into a business, the ways that I held myself back from success, and the things that really made a difference in growing my blog.

I remember watching this video back in April of 2020 and thinking I could NEVER do this. I will say that today I'm doing it. I have a business consulting company, I'm a licensed real estate agent, and I started a personal blog to help keep me accountable and provide some inspiration. I’m ready to transform my blog and really get things going. I’ve been slacking.
One thing that really helped me to grow was to set goals for just 90 days! It's common to set goals for the whole year but since they are so big it can be harder to stay focused on them. But 3 months is completely doable to start achieving some goals and really grow your blog!
TheContentBug I’m gonna try that out! Actually I might start with the first 30 days and see how that goes lol I usually don’t plan or set my goals for even that far ahead.

Great video, girl.... just some feedback, the camera going in and out constantly is the kind of distraction that can take away from your content. Maybe switch up the camera settings?
Sadly, it's just the poor autofocus on the camera! I've tried to change the settings and this is the one that works best. I'm looking into getting a new camera soon so I can create better quality videos in the future!

yes yes! I've had companies share my Instagram stories when I tag them, share my photos, and even reach out to collab. Something so simple can have a big impact!

wow 3 videos, 1 blog post, and 3 insta photos is a lot of content each week! I wonder if you could outsource some of the more time consuming tasks like editing the videos and blog posts??
I do 7 articles a week. You gotta make time. I stopped waking up at 8 and started waking up at 4
I love your channel thank you for sharing. I have a business that I need to blog more and want to launch more RUclips channel. You have amazing energy but if I could suggest slowing down a bit in your talking and alway please stop with the constant zooming in and out. You also change your background a lot. I know you do this for engagement but honestly your content is good. You do not need all the Gimmicks in your video. Slow down, stop zooming in and out and make only one or two screen changes. Otherwise it gets a bit hard to watch. Sorry just wanted to give you some feedback. I on the other hand need to rev mine up I tend to be boring and need to change it up.
what majors do you think would be most helpful in terms of building skills, connections, and knowledge for starting a blog? I'm a senior right now, and I'm struggling finding a major that I'm intersted in and would help me build my skillset set.

Apple used to be McIntosh. That's why they call your laptops MacBooks. Mac this Mac that. They've been around for several decades, they just rebranded themselves as Apple.
But even then...it still took a long time for them to become popular. I was using McIntosh computers in kindergarten 😂

Work ethic is not determined by wage. There are people who work minimum wage because they have to, but they work their asses off. Alternatively, there are people who make a ton of money who are lazy shitheads. I get what you were going for with your quirky slogan, but it's not accurate.
