In this day and age, we desperately need someone like...The Shadow!
Its almost 100 years since his time. Perhaps history will repeat itself?
OMG a life time ago 79 years! The historical value of these talented people is timeless. No less than the Pharos of Egypt! Orson Wells a great actor. The plots are sophisticated well written and well directed.
It's as much fun to hear those old time advertising as it is to listen to these great radio shows. Thank you for posting them.😀
The shadow is best with Orson wells playing the part.😊
Great stuff. So cool it brings back so many memories.
I love all of these old time radio shows. I grew up listening to all of these mysteries.
The old time radio shows are the BEST!!!!They can be the better than some of the shows on tv. I.can let my granddaughter listen to these shows whereas even some of the commercials on tv are a little risque for young viewers.

It’s great to listen to old radio shows !!!
Oh, what a gem. Thank you for uploading. 👍
To Mr. Joseph Fitzpatrick: My name is Charlie and sorry to say, I didn't grow up listening to these wonderful shows. But my father used to tell me about these shows. His favorite shows were The Hermit, Inner Sanctum and The Shadow. One of my older sisters loved these radio shows and when I was a young boy of 8 or 9 in the late 1950s, she would tell me about them. They were exciting then and they're still exciting now! Especially, The Shadow!
I have some of the versions that were recorded in Australia, with Australian actors performing from the original American scripts. Hearing classically trained Australian actors reading lines written for New York characters is unintentionally hilarious!
I love when the shadow does the tire commercials, they are hilariously delivered
7/5/17: This is great "oldtimme" radio listening. Really nice on all levels.

The radio helped folk to expand their minds/creativity/ability to THINK! TV, movies of today simply dumb us down.....lousy production values, lousy actors, lousy tales, lousy directors/producers (do duh name weinstein strike uh familiar note?)........someone has to revive radio....if for no other reason than the future of the species!
Dude it was exactly the same back then, same shit advertising bad shows and great shows sprinkled here and there
@@CriticalShot1 naw dood, I lived it….yes there were bad shows BUT a lot of good shows as well…today it’s all buttfuck swine shit with marxist ideology or someone wanting YOU to go trans…..shalom
@@CriticalShot1 My Daddy used to play this game with me called The Shadow Knows. He would shut all the lights off and chase me till he found me. He would tickle my collar bones. and say to me "who am I?" Laughing so hard till my belly hurt i would finally say "Your the Shadow knows Daddy
