- We are finally playing the new marvel vs capcom collection, spent the last month working back to back events and missed the launch but no worries we are grinding the game out, my MAS stick is in need of an upgrade so that its compatible with PC so im "learning" how to play the game on a japanese stick in these videos and also dropping some gems in the process.

All you need is a brooks converter. I bought one and it works perfectly with MAS

What yipes is saying in that first minute is why i believe this game has jazz music. Jazz is all about improvising. You can know every optimal chord and timing. But once you are playing jazz... You are playing marvel 2.

Why is it that Yipes’ ROM and Sentinel rush down have a different feel and energy than anyone else’s?
Been a while since I played anything, but I prefer a korean bat top for tekken, Japanese bat top or whatever they had in my arcade for mvc2, then a ball top for mvc3 and street fighter. Circle gate for the Korean bat top and if i remember correctly, octagon for the rest.

I’m a old school player and I feel bad for all the new players but at the same time they gotta get the same treatment we had to go thru coming up. I know everything to this game I’m mainly a rush down mag player but lately I’ve been working on defense/ patience/ fundamentals. What I’ve noticed is when some are against a magneto the first thing they do is run or work the skies so being patient has been working best for me cause all I need is 1 hit with mag 😅

It's newbie friendly, but it won't hang with top tier teams. Try team scrub Sent/Cable/CapCom if you want something more competitive 😀

You'll wanna put Cable 2nd so he can use Doom's assist. Plus Blackheart jumping around throwing demons tends to build a lot of meter for Cable to use.

Yipes. Are u using preset buttons to dash around? I’m new to MVC2 and I’m having an issue with movement pressing down + pp.
Facts almost like a smash game sf players cant compete that game is too inclusive.It's about everybody being able to do everything. Changing my team now I feel like cable's too noob for me to play smh. Cyclops they took away his combos smh. I kind of need two new characters now. And deadass that feeling you get when you pull out magneto, and people start running away. Is phenomenal

Mvc2, cvs2 and third strike aren’t worth getting into competitively. Dudes have been playing in the shadows for decades. Just play it casually with friends or else you’ll hate it.
I have a MAS Stick that has a Dreamcast chord and a PS1 Chord hanging out. Thanks to the PS2 port, all I need to do is hook up a Brook Super Converter PS2 to PS4 model and I can use it on Playstation 4. Side note: Brook's coming out with a Wingman PS2 to PS5 version!!!!! I WILL be getting that when it comes out.

I can't use these Japanese sticks for Marvel. The MAS stick is 10x better for this game sorry kids.
Loved your style back in the day and always your commentary. But it may have been useful for newer viewers to explain how this controller differs from what you’re used to/what you think is optimal.

Can we see a yipes vs Khaos match? Your goat status won't be affected, people literally just wanna see it, whatever standards you think people have of you are just in your head. Maybe some people have them but they are a tiny minority, the minority that will exist everything.
I grew up playing this in the early 01 02 and my main team is Storm,Sentinel,Cyclops and yea all i have to say is if your willing to do BS stuff to your opponent you should be ready to take it

Crazy how much a new controller makes, as i just switched to leverless recently for all fighters too. While there is a (huge) learning curve, it does feel good
(Plus, fun to re-wire my left hand for finger inputs. Hard to explain)
