This video is a ship tour. M V Lagoons is a passenger cruise ship from Kochi to Lakshadweep. The Ship was built in 2015 for India in the port of Colombo, Srilanka. M V Lagoons is a 98 meters lengthy ship with 17 meters width. M V Lagoons is owned by Indian president as Lakshadweep is a Union Territory. The M V Lagoons has a seating capacity of 400 passengers in total making it as the second largest ship from Kochi to Lakshadweep. In this video, we will be touring the ship, the decks, dining rooms, hospitals, washrooms, bunks classes, cabin classes etc;
About Lakshadweep:
Lakshadweep is a group of 36 islands in Laccadive seas. Lakshadweep is one among the eight union territories in India. Lakshadweep Islands are the most beautiful islands in the world with rich bio diversity. The islands are formed by corals and reefs. Lakshadweep trip is a once in a life time trip because of its serene beauty.
The formalities to visit Lakshadweep Islands.
1. Sponsor : To visit a Lakshadweep islands there should be a sponsor for us. The sponsor should be an Islander, and he will be responsible for the guests coming to Lakshadweep. The cost of Permit varies from sponsor to sponsor.

2. Police Clearance Certificate (PCC): To obtain Lakshadweep permit we have get a PCC certificate from nearest police station u dwell, it can be applied through AKSHAYA centers or by Online thought THUNA website. The cost of PCC will be Rs. 610/- if we apply via THUNA and Rs. 710/- if we apply via AKSHAYA.
3. Heritage fee : Rs. 200/- should be paid as Heritage Fee at Lakshadweep to apply the permit. The sponsor will apply for both heritage fee and permit at Lakshadweep.
4. Travel Conveyance: There are only two means to travel to Lakshadweep - Air /Ship . There are daily flight services to Agatti Island, the flight code is AGX. Alliance air has daily flights from Bangalore and Kochi to Agatti. Rs. 6500/- will be the average flight charges as per website. You can book through direct website or through third party websites such as MakeMyTrip.
The cheapest method to travel to Lakshadweep is via cruise ships. There are multiple number of ships from Kochi to Islands. Namely MV Kavarathi, MV Lagoons, MV Corals & MV Arabian Sea. The classes of stay are Bunk Class (Rs. 1500), Second class cabin (Rs. 4300), First class cabin (Rs. 6600) from Kochi to Kavarathi islands. The booking can be done through direct counters at Kochi, Beypore and Mangalore (70% offline tickets) and via Online (30% released via online prior to travel). The tickets for ships are released between 2- 5 days before the travel and the details can be obtained from the Lakport website.
5. Stays in Lakshadweep: Rooms/houses are available in cheaper rates Ranging from Rs. 250 to Rs. 3000 depending upon the facilities provided.
6. Local Conveyance: Bikes can be rented for Rs. 150/- per day (24 hours) and there is a petrol bunk were you can get fuel (8.00 Am to 8.00 PM only)
7. Food : There are multiple restaurants where you get local cuisines as well as Kerala food and Arabic grills. Bahanas Kitchen near western Jetty is a must place to visit to have authentic dishes of Lakshadweep.
8. Places to visit: Kavarathi Light House (5pm to 6.00 pm) , Marine Museum, serene beaches, coral reefs and other water activities such as glass boat ride & under water scuba diving .
PLEASE DO NOT DO:
1. Alcohol is strictly prohibited in Lakshadweep except Bangaram Islands. So do not try to take liquor bottles to Lakshadweep which will end you in trouble.
2. Do not take coral reefs, sea cucumber or any other natural resources from the Islands as it is the violation of law and will attract huge fine and legal punishments. Do not pluck the coconut without permission from the land owners as the coconut trees are owned by natives.
3. Do not go into direct sunlight without sun lotions, you ll be tanned in no time.
4. Do not visit uninhibited islands without permission, the cost guards will cease you under custody. Always keep a copy of the permit with you in your phone.
