you have such great taste!! although i've never ranked any artists like this, we definitely do share many of the same groups. i wasn't planning on adding my top 10 boy groups in each category, as that would be a large amount of information for one comment. however, i honestly do want to test myself and see if i can pick my 10 favourite artists per category. i highly doubt that i'll be able to pick 10 j-pop and western boy groups, as i prefer co-ed j-pop groups and female western artists, as well as some rock/pop rock bands. however, i'll do the best i can*. this is a great way for me to test myself in a manner that isn't overly stressful, and it's a lovely way to help the algorithm a bit. ^-^ * i sadly wasn't able to pick 10 j-pop and western boy groups, so i included co-ed groups and bands where they would actually be in my list. my original plan was to put boy groups first and fill in the remaining spaces with co-ed groups and bands, but i decided against that as it wouldn't accurately reflect my musical tastes. i do apologize for bending the rules a bit, i hope you don't mind.🥺 k-pop: 10. super junior (i know it's a bit of a controversial choice, but i honestly enjoy their music. i believe i can listen to an artist's music without supporting the artist's poor choices.) 9. monsta x 8. pentagon 7. sf9 6. ateez 5. onlyoneof 4. cross gene 3. p1harmony 2. shinee 1. seventeen j-pop: 10. grit 9. owv 8. jo1 7. bullet train 6. king of ping pong (i'm honestly just as confused as you are. to summarize what i know, they're a project group with seven "ping pong teams", or subunits. the full group with all seven subunits includes members of 'bullet train', 'dish//', 'genin wa jibun ni aru', 'm!lk', 'one n' only', 'prizmax' and 'super★dragon'. the project group was made for the drama called "fake motion".) 5. one love one heart (co-ed; 4 males 5 females) 4. super★dragon 3. white jam (co-ed; 2 males 1 female) 2. one n' only 1. aaa (co-ed; 4 males 1 female) western/non k-pop or j-pop: 10. onerepublic (6 member band) 9. marianas trench (4 member band) 8. prettymuch 7. hedley (band which disbanded due to their frontman facing horrible accusations, who got sentenced to 5 years in prison. they had 9 members throughout their entire career.) 6. cascada (co-ed trio; 2 males 1 female. most people think cascada is a female solo act, but there are two male dj producers who prefer to not show their faces and work behind the scenes.) 5. fall out boy (4 member band) 4. twenty one pilots (2 member band) 3. hollywood undead (5 member band) 2. the wanted 1. little big (co-ed duo; 1 male 1 female)
that's so real. it was so hard finding western acts that weren't disbanded so I just stuck whoever fit lmao. bands are a whole other video bc I have so many fav korean bands, japanese bands, and western bands that im having a tough time limiting them down to just 10 lmao (that video is the reason why cnblue and n.flying aren't on this list despite being in my top 10 groups of all time) ! thank you for watching
@@jaechanning i was going to pick the usual western groups i occasionally listen to (backstreet boys, new kids on the block, *nsync, maybe even why don't we and one direction, plus a million others that i'm completely blanking on), but they've pretty much gone their own ways, so i had to quickly replace them with bands. even though some of the artists i chose also are on indefinite hiatus, i had to pick some more "recent" or "trendy" bands because i'd probably be considered an old hag if i mentioned any 90s artists. i already feel ancient for listening to and mentioning cascada (founded in 2004, so not even _that_ old), but i just really don't want to know how the new generation would react if i mentioned any artists who started making music in 2000 or earlier. 😅
