    I have had succulents grow from leaves that have fallen on the floor, they really will grow if you leave them be. Once the mother leave completely dies off and breaks away, you’ll find the baby to find you baby with its own roots. Just plop that baby into a small pot with its own succulent soil mix, water, and place in a sunny window.

    Ignoring them is really the best advice! When I first tried propagating succulents I did a whole fancy arrangement, covered them, spritzed them... All of them failed. Once I started just ignoring them and letting leaves fall, it's been so easy to propagate 🤣

    DESERT HACK! I tried just leaving my leaves on soil and ignoring them but they failed when I did that... My solution was to drape a sheet of saran wrap on an upright stick and make a little tent over the terra cotta plate and spray like 2x/week. I personally needed to water mine. Otherwise, they died or just never rooted or anything. but that's my own personal experience, and everyone's experience is different! I have heard a lot of people saying ignoring them is the best move, and if that works for you, then that is what you should do! but mine just dry out and die, or if they do hold onto life, they won't create more :') but if I water them a day or two after the dirt drys out, I'll get roots and babies SO damn quickly!! I got a tray with a bunch of sucks on it, and at first, I did ignore it, but like 3 months went by and not even a single root was growing on any of them. then i started watering them, and BAM in a matter of weeks a lot of them have finally rooted and started putting off babies!

    In my experience, I find watering succulent leaves every 2-3 days helps them to grow much faster. 😄 Once they are outgrowing their place, I repot, and start watering them twice per week to acclimate, and eventually water only every other week, or as necessary. (once the leaves are looking a li'l too tender)

    • @crustyflatonion9595
      @crustyflatonion9595 Год назад

      Try putting them in a spot that receives a little morning sunlight and regular daylight throughout the day. I’ve struggled and tried so many variations but the best is to ignore them in a bright location. Maybe a window that you open a little during the day, but not a hot place. If it’s too hot, the leaves will simply shrivel up

    I noticed spritz vs dripping water does better because the droplets are smaller and more easily absorbed by the tiny plants and their delicate little roots

      Ok fine, but I just flipped them to give more space. No water has touched them.

    "leave it alone, forget you have it" perfectly describes succulents generally lol. my flaming Katy started reproducing on its own so now I'll probably have to give it a bigger pot

    When do I know to plant the ones with roots? I have a few with really nice little roots on it but I'm afraid to plant it because I might break the roots off.

      I've never had trouble with planting the ones that sprout roots! Just be gentle and sprinkle some soil over the roots when you plant them, they'll work their way deeper into the soil on their own :)

    How long does it generally take for them to start having roots/become a lil plant baby? because I have only one leaf and hope it'll grow but it's been a month and he's turning a little reddish
    Also love your videos, you are an amazing person :)

    Your arrangement of leaves was facing inside but when your baby succulent grow they were facing the opposite side, you’ve said that you ignored it without watering, are you joking???

    Hey Krystal, I love your videos! You have inspired me to collect more bébés for my tiny bathroom window since they now all live past the 8 week mark! 😂
    QUESTION: How long did it take to get from Jan 2023, to the first clip under the grow light and to "Today"??
    Also, my condolences on the passing of your Significant Other 🤍
    👑 Queen Krystal, please keep making content whenever you feel so inspired! I truly enjoy watching you, 😊💓 and learning from all you share!!! My living plants thank you too! (I have three varieties of Aloe Vera, Philodendron and a Ming Asparagus Fern)

    We threw our kitchen scraps outside in the back yard. Tomatoes. String beans. Carrots. Potato. Celery. Onion. THAT GOT US IN TROUBLE!!!! Why? All vegetable scraps were to be given to the horses and chickens. I was lazy and didn't want to go to the chicken coop and the barn. So my father knew what happened. TOO FUNNY!!! mother nature or mother earth reported to me father I was a flat out liar
