If you don’t have a pair of nippers on your belt then you are just playing around. It’s well worth big bucks to have a reliable, sharp pair on your belt at all times. I had to save up to buy a nice pair, the ones I carried for years are just too heavy!

WOW... This gentleman knows his succulents! Would love to see more videos of him discussing in details the do's & don't of caring for succulents (especially indoors). 🌵🌵👍👍
I have to say, that tour of the succulent greenhouse was absolutely amazing. Dylan definitely knows his product. I would certainly support this green house--if it wasn't 1,030 miles from where I live. Thanks for setting that up, Kevin. Darryl
That man is everything I aspire to be in my life. He is incredibly knowledgeable!!! I wish I had even a 1/4 of that knowledge. Oh my plants would love me so much more ha ha ha
Yeah instead of showing the guys, no offense, zoom in on each of the 100s of damn plant babies there! Guys are handsome but let's face it, we're here for the succs! 😉😎🤣
@heatherkoolaid yup, I feel like I got to watch a couple of guys talk. I didn't even get to see the plants that were supposed to be beautiful. Waist of my time.
one thing i noticed is that my succulents love a mix of compost or potting soil and medium to small gravel bits, with coarser gravel in the bottom, my burrows tail is doing awesome in that mix and i have a baby rubber tree in the same mix and theyre both really happy
I love succulents, but do NOT find them easy. I've lived in Massachusetts and in the high desert of New Mexico, and I have never been able to get the light right for a lot of them.
I think this channel is shaping up to be one of the best. However I live in the subtropics. I would love some information on how to grow succulents in different climates.
This was such a cool video! I loved it! Thank you so taking us behind the scenes! I'd be curious to know what kind of succulents he has in his own personal home??
Thanks for watching! Kevin is right I spend A LOT of time in these houses, they make my G-house at home look like a closet! I do have a “wife troubling” amount of plants though. My favorites are Haworthia and Euphorbia. Keep planting!
The way he was just roughly picking them up and throwing them back in the tray like a any old rock , while the guest gently picks one up , admires it, gently lays it back down. Epic gardening was the true suc God right there.
Great Video, I’m new to succulents I’m not used to seeing compost dry so worry that they are not getting enough water and have lost a few due to overwatering. I’m fascinated with you knowing all the names I’m still learning. Thankyou Sue UK
Mix some extra grit and bark in with that compost and you'll be all set. As I'm in the desert, with under 10% humidity, I can do straight compost, but on your rainy island, lightening up the mix will help prevent over watering.
That’s what I was thinking as well, every time he grabbed a container full of succulent cuttings. A succulent grower (especially a plant expert) already knows how to handle his or her babies properly. Primarily, these plants have very plumpy and juicy leaves and stem that are prone to bruising or even breakage. Once bruised, they will bear it their whole life.
Plants are fascinating, truly living creatures with different nutrient needs. It's cool to learn where they come from and how to take care of them. I mean what would we do without our succulents?!
Can you do a video on grow lights? I used to think it was as simple as going out, buying one, and then putting it over your plants but I'm learning that is not the case and I know I'm gonna need a good grow light for my lemon tree over the winter.
New to the channel. Thanks for sharing the awesome video . The interviewee was so knowledgeable and passionate about what he does understandably why. I live in NC I started my interest for succulents, cactus, air plants & orchids working in the lowes garden center for years. Amazing plants what's not to love.
Great video so many are in the family 'I WANT EM' 😂 love to see a part 2 to this ( people are often surprised when you let them know of the many Winter-hardy varieties of succulents) Please more videos with growers or specialist or Botanical gardens or styles of gardens and gardening...... basically more plants😂😂Orchids cal orchids Los Osos Ca, Nuccios Camellias and Azaleas Altadena Calif great people & growers or Natives Sons for California natives or fort bragg's Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens so I have something to watch with my tea THANK YOU ;)
O must say, I am not an original lover of succulents, even though I'm planning to homestead in west West Texas High Desert, lol! But, between you and Summer Rayne I have decided to give it a go, I have found a few that I like......I just need to read up more on identifying and care a little more. Great video, thank you!
I agree 💯% that the blooms are beautiful. I do have a love/hate relationship with them. They take a lot of energy away from the succulents and can also misshapen a perfect rosette. If their not misshapening my rosette I'll let them grow a little stem and then cut them. Place them in water and watch them blossom.
I find that succulents have quite a bit of personality, some are super sensitive and touchy, some are stubborn ,some are flamboyant, some of them have many demands or even demand attention , they tell you everything you must do and if you don't do it right, they for sure show u
He handles then rough because he knows they can handle it. Can you imagine how long it would take him of he cradled every cutting he inspected ? Just a thought 😊
I love my succulents. They handle drought well and propagate easy. And they come in a wonderful variety of sizes and colors. What's not to like? I make sure to water the area where I'll be putting offshoots. No problems so far after several years.
Lol everyone chill. Yes, he's obviously gonna handle his plants slightly rougher than a private grower who's got a lot more to lose if that one plant is bruised, but the way you guys are reacting it's like you think these plants are made of glass. You can grab and lightly throw plants without hurting them, I promise.
Rosa Padilla I have a few old garden tours on my channel but you would have to dig. I’m not sure I could promote my channel on someone else’s channel , lol. Maybe over the summer, I’ll make some garden ones:)
Enjoyed the show on succulent plantsI live in central Ontario Canada could give some names of plant that that will over winter with a fair bit of snow.Thank you 🌵🪴
What succulent topics should I make a video on next?
The difference between over watering, underwatering, and nutrient deficiency( signs to fertilise)
HEWfunkingKNEWit yes! I second this. These are all great topics I wonder about myself
propagation by individual leaves
The care for succulents that are considered hardy vs. non hardy succulents
Rose of the dessert care.
You know he's a pro because he has a holster on his belt for the clippers.
Locked and loaded
Yo i saw that . Where do I get one ?! Haha
Actually we do that to avoid putting them in our back pocket

I’d love to see more episodes at this nursery and with this grower. Maybe a start to finish process? This is so fascinating!!
I'll be up there again soon!
Agreed, this was fascinating.

I would love that also. I love learning all there is to know about plants. Especially house plants

Yeah I thought he was a bit rough with them too!
Y’all need to chill, the cuttings are fine.
Don’t like him. Not good vibes. Arrogant.
It normally takes at least 30 minutes to replant a succulent, and he is handling it like stones 🙄
I love how this nice nursery guy loves what he is doing
i didn’t feel that love you speak of

That guy had the best job ever! 🙌
A quality operation. It’s kind of crazy how popular succulents have become. It’s also about time, considering how relatively easy they are to grow.
Couldn't agree more with you
