Thanks mate, I'll try to do that whenever I manage to repair my ESP Horizon, I need a healthy and solid floyd rose if I ever want to cover Downing's parts in VoC...
I'd say try to decompose the solos into distinct lead parts. First off, try to learn exclusively Glenn's part, then KK's, or the other way round, knowing that they play their leads alternatively. Once you can properly play both parts separately, try to play all leads at once. Also, I'd advise you start learning those solos slowly, then build speed up. It's really the best way to make sure your playing is clean and accurate. Good luck!
Here I go, jizzing all over the place... I can't believe how someone can nail a Priest song so much. And K.K's style, I thought it was impossible to imitate! You've proven me wrong. Made my day, dude
I've played for about 4 years and a half now, practicing about 2 to 3 hours daily since I had been playing for 2 years. I'd recommend practicing alternate picking, and sweep picking, both by playing various scales and patterns while slowly increasing speed, and trying to keep it clean. Also, Glenn and KK use the whammy bar a lot on this one, so it would be a good thing to know how to do dive bombs and squealing harmonics. Hope that helps!
No problem! Your vids are great! Dude, you should totally upload those soon! I'd love to see Victim of Changes from you. I cover it myself, but I'm sure you play it incredibly!
Dive the whammy bar after playing an open string, and while pulling it back up, hit a natural harmonic with your fretting hand. Look for "Divebombs" on youtube or google, lots of great tutorials about that technique!
Hi there, thanks for the kind words! I'm afraid I have no tabs, I learned it all by ear and did not write anything down. I'm pretty sure there are some quite correct tabs for this song out there, good luck finding them and thanks again!
Kk downing left the band and tipton has temporal artrossis, so the only one who can do something now is richie, and he is more or less newbie in judas and he can't arriesgate with bad solos for the fans or for themselves.
Pickups are Seymour Duncan, neck is SH1 and bridge is TB4. I used the bridge pickup for the whole song except for the melodic stuff on the second part of the solo on which I used the neck pickup. I was using Jamvox on this vid, so I don't quite remember what the settings were. It was probably something like Treble 8, Mids 2 or 3, Bass 4 or 5, and Gain 8. Sorry, I can't help more!
@rudicci Thanks alot bro! Your comments are always much anticipated and appreciated =D Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed ! (And don't you dare calling me Master ;) )
I've been quite busy lately, and I was thinking about posting some Devin Townsend and Dream Theater songs in the near future, but I'll eventually end up posting more Priest for sure. I've already covered Painkiller, Victim of Changes and Future of Mankind, so I might upload these someday. Thanks for watching my vids btw!
Men, I can't tell you if you did the solos perfect or bad, but you did it a Solo by yourself that is originally written for two guitars. And that's good!
I can't believe a band from 1969 came up with an intro like this
I have to say... of all the solo covers I've seen this is the most accurate sounding I've come across
These are the kind of solos that need decades to master
the solo, fucking incredible
Respect! This must be one of the best and hardest Priest songs lead wise and this guy aced it!
Idk if you played the solo right or not but it was FAST AS FUCK! so good job!
Glenn Tipton melted my face off, OMG the solos are so epic! you did a great job and I'm bowing down to you in my office as I type
Kyle Stofko kk downing played half of the solo too
How did you get these solos, man? I must know your secret! haha
Awesome job!
This... oh my word. This can't be real :D Man, you're a born talentum, I've never seen such a great playing since ever.
Solos a tricky but the rhythm is simple

Dive the whammy bar after playing an open string, and while pulling it back up, hit a natural harmonic with your fretting hand. Look for "Divebombs" on youtube or google, lots of great tutorials about that technique!

Kk downing left the band and tipton has temporal artrossis, so the only one who can do something now is richie, and he is more or less newbie in judas and he can't arriesgate with bad solos for the fans or for themselves.
