Lyrics:
I am the darkness
Born out of light
I am the force the fire
That burns here tonight
Bringing the future
To all mankind
Guider of life - of death
The dight of the blind
Your future lies within my eyes
What I predict will terrify
I can't control what comes to be
From the past to the present to eternity
I am Nostradamus
Do you you believe
I am Nostradamus
That I conceive
Master of chaos
Anger and rage
I hold the key
My presence will unlock the cage
I am your witness
The one who can tell
Bearing the sword - the shield
To your heaven from hell
As I unfold the mystery
I change the course of history
With premonitions from the void
Will you live, will you die
Will your worlds collide
I am Nostradamus
The hand of fate
I am Nostradamus
With love and hate
Lost in this vortex
The mystery begins
Will you be victim
Saved from your sins
Time is illusion
Trapped in the skies
Destiny's calling
Hear from my eyes
Many years ago a boy was born
A boy with a gift
A gift that would be the envy of all mankind
To see what no other could - great visions
of the future
Or would a curse be bestowed on the boy
The boy whose name was Nostradamus,
damus, damus. Damus, damus, damus
I am Nostradamus
Do not forsake
I am Nostradamus
Your life's at stake
I am Nostradamus
The lightning rod
I am Nostradamus
The voice of God
Celestial comets
Reign towards earth
Alchemy's tempest
Predicting your worth
Pray for deliverance
Escape if you can
For I have borne witness
To the purging of man
There is Judas Priest and then there is everyone else.
I didn't think there was anybody else
True brother
Can't believe guys've played only 2 songs from Nostradamus album yet. It deserves much more than that! Alone, Exiled or Future of Mankind deserve to be played live too
Not to mention the missed opportunity to do a full scale production.
Future of mankind is brilliant
They didn't do it back then, they won't do it now. Most of those songs are impossible for Rob to sing in his current state.
@@EyelessRaven Tipton with management probably did their homework (potential revenues and expenses) for this scenario a sticked with greatest hits/british steel/album + classic songs scheme that would not need expensive production a earn more money on tickets. I can imagine that touring with Nostradamus as a whole and specific production would be much more expensive and probably ticket sales would be lower, because many fans require Breaking the law/Living AM, You ve got another thing... stuff...
Metal in its purest form
This is Judas Priest. This is Heavy Metal.
Is this truth.
This Is True Metal!!!
FUCK YEAH THE METAL GODS 🤘🤣
Talking about heavy metal is ALWAYS talking about Judas Priest !!!! 🙌🙌🙌
This is one of the last times the true band was together epic
I'm speechless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They sound better than ever.
Back in 2018 they were fantastic and I did not expect it tbh. Halford sounded like in his 40's
With Kk Priest is really another kind of beast
KK......is the beast!! Forever KK and Judas Priest!!!!
The godfathers of Heavy Metal: Judas Priest. Was brought up a metal head and will always be a metal head. The music from Judas Priest is timeless. This song always gets my heart pumping.
Pushing 70 ,and putting on a performance like this! True METAL GODS!
I’m so fortunate for have being present in this Nostradamus tour with this dream line up! “The lightning rod “, indeed that’s what they are.
Guitarras gêmeas....enfim Judas Priest.....sempre será sinônimo de tempestade sonica !
Judas Priest is the best band ever, Glenn Tipton the greatest guitarist ever. Rob Halford the best vocalist. I love this song.
Best Harmony Guitars EVER! Nostradamus is a Masterpiece. The Guitars are just Great.
Have they ever sounded better than this recording? Modern recording quality + balanced mixing that shreds each instrument beautifully + Rob's album-level voice & pitch with some live grit... I mean, this is the epitome of a live recording, is it not?
I think it's re masterd ..
J.P. Is kicking some serious asssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!
Heavy Metal gods Rob is the King of Metal 🤘
Best concept album ever
That whole album is purely EPIC
No matter what solo Glenn plays he always makes it look so easy
This is still the best post reunion song.
No its scientificaly proven its As God Is My Witness but I enjoy Nostradamus a lot
What a song! What an album! Cheers from the past...
Halford is extraordinary here
Here there and everywhere!
Rob sounds better than on the album 👏🏻
One of my favorite Priest songs of all time.
I love Glenn Tipton, and I feel so fortunate to have seen him w/ Priest in 2015 on the Redeemer tour. May God always bless him.
An excellent version of this song
This is heavy metal. This is outstanding! This is Judas Priest. This is the best music produced to this point.
Need 2 check out 2with Rob Halford it's the 1st band he started b4 fight it's pretty cool I think it's better than fight.
One of the most kick-a** tracks ever!
Super performance, from a very underrated album
This is a must-have in every live set list in my opinion. Absolutely awesome.
legend
One of the greatest bands ever !!!
It’s great to see KK & Glen on the same stage. Glen is a monster guitarist..
Best metal guitarist ever.
This song is a classic of heavy metal.
What a amazing song. Whole album is great too.
Sounds better now in 2022 then 2008 guess my ears have like it now more then ever
I didn't appreciate the album at first. But after listening to it several times, I really enjoy it.
@@u.s.m.c.fewproudthemarines2987 it has a few really good ones, this, Death, nostradamus, off the top of my head
@@Terminxman Death is a doomy masterpiece for me. And Alone? .... touching song tbh
Classic Priest in a modern time. This is by far one of there best songs performed LIVE.
Powerful. Ian and Rob have been doing this for the majority of their lives. I can't imagine.
Long way since first seeing Priest at Hammersmith in '83. Still the best of the best of the best.
The voice of heavy metal ever......thanks Judas and long life for the king Rob!!! Salutes from Mexico City!!
Rob is totally into it always, especially in this one.
Rob still has the pipes! I like the way that he dedicates his vocals over "show business". He is totally into it! Love this song!!
@@rogerstedina2202 I'm sorry, I just saw this reply now! Yes! Honestly these live videos are great with professional recording. Cell phone videos dont do his voice justice. Cause I heard them live once, and his voice sounded just like the studio version.
Glenn can play anything while head bobbing,a metal god!
They all have this title for a reasons... After all the "gods" in "The Metal Gods" is plural...
Yup \m/
Just like Ian Hill.
@@channel5980 Ian is actually the only member left from first ever JP line up.
I love Glenn so much!
This is one of the best songs done live !
Ya want heavy, here it is !!!!! The best
This band is my favourite.
This song is a work of art 🤘🤘👏👏🤩
Rob, KK and Glenn rightly get the spotlight for JP but without Scott and Ian's brilliant and solid rhythm section work, there would be NO classic Judas Priest sound. Bravo boyz!
People will appreciate this masterpiece soon in future.
A Masterpiece!...of metal!
Just amazing. Greatest band of all times ...............
*"Master of chaos.... Anger and RAAAAAAAAGE!"*
Best metal band ever
Live version amazingly (not surprisingly at all) better than studio version. Judas Priest as usual my friends...
So sad they have few albums with great production
Divine performance, wish they'd done a full-album Nostradamus gig when it was still relevant to the band. It really deserved that, being such an epic album. A real diamond in a rough.
diamnind in the rough great album from a7x\
Uff I love Nostradamus album, but I am not sure if the rest of fans would be willing to accept it. Remember Iron Maiden playing The Matter of Life and Death in its entirety and it was painfully obvious people did not like it
@@davidknichal6629 a one off gig could work but yeah doing what maiden did would be a disaster. Don’t know how maiden thought it was a good idea especially with such a poor album.
@@brandonharris9769 'cause it was a fucking good album, and Maiden wrongly thought that their fan are not full of old fogies buried in the past
I was born in 97 I’m no old fogie it’s just a dull album which bores me and others to tears.
the sound of the band is so sosooooooo perfect. what a voice mi friend! listen that guitar ! that batery! what a epic band!
I just love this song🥺 💜
I love this performance! Saw them do it in Pittsburgh. Such a fantastic show! Right up there with the Painkiller tour! Halford is amazing, still! I still glow when I think of this show! The number 1 heavy metal band..... Ever!
Such an excellent song from a great album.
I love this song.
better than studio version
Sure is. And that's rare. This was Eddie Trunk's birthday and a DVD was made of this show. (Better than average recording.)
Absolutely! The only two Priest songs I've heard of which I like the album version better are "Devil's Child" and "Desert Plains." Priest music sounds better live than any concert I've ever attended by any other artist in the last 4 decades, and that includes Kiss, Sabbath, James Gang, BTO, Alice Cooper, Foghat, Bob Seger, Grand Funk RR, Olivia Newton John, Barry Manilow, Brownsville Station, Mastadon, and Bruno Mars. (I've an eclectic taste.) Judas Priest stands above them all!
mainly because it's a step lower than the studio version which fits the song better imo
yes.
Best jacket and singer in the world
I say, the more I hear this song, starting to become a favorite
For me as a Pink Floyd, Rush or Maiden lover is this album probably the best supreme display of JP's talent and creativity (along with Sin After Sin or SWOD). I don't care about You ve Got or Painkiller at all. This is just a brilliant storytelling
La mejor banda de Heavy Metal.
Underrated album.
I think it's one of their best. Not super heavy like Defenders of the Faith or Painkiller, but a true masterpiece for sure.
@@mikeghiradelli1163 My friend, a Maiden fan, once said it is lyrically better than 80% of Priest's catalogue
@ Priest's lyrics are awesome. Whoever said that doesn't know what they're talking about.
Agree, its a great album 🤘
Nah, few standout tracks but it’s still nothing great
heavenly rendition
What a great song, one of the best from Judas Priest.
Such a great song. The band rocks and I love Rob's voice, artistry, and stage presence.
🎶👏🎶👏🎶👏🎶💕💕💕
Damn, sounds so smooth it could be studio.
NOSTRADAMUS album fantastic!!!!!! e poi c'è un'intera strofa in italiano!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! stupendo, senza fine, dolce, amaro, is a masterpice !!!
tu parlo italiano?
Priest at their best!
WENT TO THIS TOUR......LIKE ALWAYS........PRIEST....CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THEM 2018....FIREPOWER....FULL THROTTLE..!!!!
What an amazing show time they have done!
we LOVE Judas Priest!!!!! a fun since early '80s......................bands like Judas will never get old!
This is a great concert
that double guitar solo though... even though some folks didnt like it im glad jp made an long epic album like this
Freakin Awesome, my 8 year old loves this concert!"
Hanford, years later, still belts out the notes!
I never forgot that OPENING Sequence for the concert. Wicked. Then he rose up out of the stage on top of this platform.
" Vida longa ao Judas Priest"
Banda Fabulosa
Rob Halford is the voice of metal Long Live Judas Priest. They are the lightning rod of all metal 👍💯🎸🥁🎤🤘☠️
How do they still sounds so fucking good
Love them harmony leads from KK and Glenn!! 🎸
All we need is more Nostrodamus songs on Priest's setlist
Why the hell hasn't this whole concert been released on Blu-Ray?!
Yeah I was wondering what the heck is all this footage from -it's awesome!
@@fogzax this actually WAS released in the British Steel 30th Anniversary dvd back in 2010. Not trying to be a douche, but sometimes you have to buy the things to get the content sooner, considering they waited like 6 years to start uploading the show "for free" on YT.
@@sonnic1995 Yeah I worked it out eventually - It's truly awesome footage - probably the best live Priest stuff I've ever seen and I would definitely buy it if they re-released it on blu ray. I think the British Steel CD is quite expensive now second hand and I like to listen to British Steel on vinyl anyhow.
Some song just get better and better every time I listen to them
I was there. Powerful. 🎼🎸🎵🤘
Judas priest are the greatest band they believe I'm what the future holds for all
To me, Nostradamus is a much better album than Redeemer of Souls. So progressive and constant in quality 🙌
no
i agree technically is quite better
Redeemer of Souls is weak. Nostradamus is one of the best albums of all time.
To me Nostradamus is their best album 🤷♂️
@@The-Punnkk Yes. By a long shot.
Al tiro buena banda metalera che ese si es heavy metal con fuerza
Love this lineup, Faulkner and Sneep don't compare. KK and Glenn played so well together.
Great song, in fact I liked the Nostradamus album. Good to see KK there as well.
Such a powerful song 🤩
They should play it live
SAW THEM IN 77' AT THE LONG BEACH ARENA.....SO FRICKIN GREAT..........METAL GODS........THERE WIIL BE NO OTHER.........
Brings back memories for me in listening to some of his songs on a very good vehicle stereo in the eighties like out in the cold
My first time hearing this song. Only the second song I've ever heard off this LP. Always avoided it because of length... Guess I've got some listening to do! 🤘 🔥
I was at this same show a few days earlier on the tour in Tampa, Florida. One of the best Priest shows ever! All hail the gods of metal.
Killer concert intro. Damn. Sorry I missed this tour.
Damn rob still has power in his vocals
Ya sounds like a prison house John flushing much power
Simply Awesome!!
