Lyrics:
From a fireball we came crossed sea and mountain
We were drinking beauty with our eyes
We were given all to make our own
Let us be left alone
Laid the tasks and paid the price
Everything survives
Crushed and bolted all the grain
At every wind what a stake we're in
Is pain better than the grave
When we talk without amend
We see red and then
Deep inside our blood begins to boil
Like a tiger in the cage
We begin to shake with rage - Видеоклипы
that seminole concert is immortal.
The best since vengeance 82 in my opinion 🤘
Ian Hill has moved the same way and has occupied the same 4 square feet on stage for 40+ years. That's dedication. And stability.
You just gotta love the way he's digging the groove at 3:48. 😅
Ian Hill is a monster.
He's solid AF
Always chopping wood!
The Rage!!! Love me some Ian Hill, Bass players come & go, Hill there from the get go, low maintenance player, Underrated imo…He is the bottom end of Priest along with Scott.
I love how Ian always just chills and does his thing in the corner of the stage. So underrated.
no matter who is shown, how long they've done it, how much worldwide praise they've had, someone always pops up to say they are underrated....its as dependable as the sunrise
How does this man still sing like this? Unreal
I have no idea. This concert was The last time I saw priest live. It was amazing
Talent
THE SOLO OF K.K. MAKES ME CHILLS DOWN ALLOVER !!
This riff is so badass, powerfull and this live version, that guitar tone chills the soul of any true headbanger \m/
Before Metallica thought of doing "the thing that should not be".
Hence why i have that riff for my phone ringtone, its moorish, people should ring me up more.
3:22 when Rob's vocals come soaring back in I got fucking goodebumps. So freaking epic.
@Mr. Holter the guy is just an inspiration to me. The whole band. Absolute consummate performers.
@@themongrelkingtoo388 especially at 3:27
Motivator..in the morning too
I love how KK really feels the guitar solos
My favorite song from British Steel. Love the spacey jazz-like riffs by Glenn Tipton. Ian Hill's bass line and tone is killer, as are K.K. Downing's leads and solos. The entire band is at top form here. Long live the Priest!
It's actually Reggae, thats Ians bass line and Glenns riff. The drumming at the beginning too.
@@UnYin99 Now that you said that, I can hear it. THANKS!
My favorite song 😎
One of my favorite Priest tunes! Slow, intense, hard driving rock n roll!
One of the many many many underrated JP songs
Yeah, pretty much the best from British Steel for me
Insanely underrated song indeed!
What can you expect? At the 70's and the 80's every song they made where great, every song!
Master Piece
Because it's rarely played live, and a lot of more mainstream Priest fans don't even know it. It's always been one of my favorites from this album, and from their entire catalog.
Further on that my fav Preist song
K. K. plays some real unusual licks. Who agree's.
this live version is absolutely great.....the studio version of the solo for this song is unlistenable....sounds like some kid recorded it with his garage band...its really bad unfortunately.....
Ian Hill OWNS this song. Always has. Always will.
This concert is Judas Priest at 1000%. KK and Glenn.....that guitar duo.
Most underrated JP song ever.
no matter whats shown, or who, or what they might do, someone always pops up to use the "U" word.....its as dependable as the sunrise
One of the very best songs from British Steel, and one hell on a rendition that night!
Agreed
Agree \m/
Playing the entire British Steel Album that Tour was the Best!
Gggggrrrrrreeeeaaaaaattttttttt
I'm convinced
HOLY SHIT Rob slays on this
Ian is a beast, and quite underrated, too.
Gotta be one of the best versions and performances of this song ever.
Shooting Stars yes it's hard to imagine that this great song possibly could be performed in any better way. Ian Hill indeed an underrated bass player
He’s not underrated. Name another interesting bass lick or contribution he’s made to any other JP album. There aren’t any.
@@thefonzkiss Revolution, any Jugulator intro lol
@@thefonzkiss every single album, the dude is a time keeping machine!
Bass in JP, not the hardest job in music.
....and THAT my freinds IS heavy metal
At it's best
🤘
Its something about the sounds of the Judas Priest twin guitars that goes right into your flesh and bones no other bands can do. They have tweaked the distortion so well I yet have to witness other do.
it sounds more like hard rock or heavy rock
Yep, now 63 still rockin'... I wet to so many live concerts of AC/DC and Judas Priest. My very favourites. Still wowhoowoow I love so many bands. Young ones, don't let this music fade. Take your instruments all keep the legendary music alive!
KK Has one the best Tones ever on his leads. Like Sinner this and others. So Good!
It's the wah and phaser (or maybe flanger), dude. But yeah, I agree - it rules all. I've been trying to get that tone my whole life - lol
@@hinjurock Me too man. I started playing electric guitar in 1978 and I have never heard anyone else with that tone and I have been trying since about 1981
And people complain about the 81/85.
That is not KK bro.
@@stevebarker4897 If you don´t really know waht you´re saying, it will make you look more intelligent , if you say nothing.
Shitfaced drunk, and had this tune on replay for an hour now! Rock on!
Best Metal Band-Forever!
Halford sounds amazing 🤘🤘
Ian Hill the legend that carried Judas Priest all these years, much respect to him
This song is simply massive live.
The live versions outshines the records - everything sounds fresh - and the guitar and bass tone and the drum snare ? Top notch - and the vocals ? Forget about it - the metal god indeed.
the guitar solo on the studio version is really bad unfortunatley, Im not sure how they ever let it make it to the record....shit happens
Wow..40 years later I still tremble when I hear Rob say “Like a tiger in a cage we begin to shake with rage”
Thank you JP
@James Hodson Damn..I cant imagine. ✌️
Classic Judas Priest and so good to see this again - Phil
That's why I like Downing.
What a killer performance! 30 years later, and I swear this live version sounds better than the original studio cut! Definitely a hidden gem on the British Steel album. This new album "Firepower" harkens back to this era sound wise, from what I've heard so far, I love it! Priest Rocks!
the recording is actually better than the album version.....wow
And done when they're all old lol love it
Indeed it is
It sure is about as perfect as it gets. The Steeler on this DVD is fantastic too. Priest forever!
I loved the energy! Seeing them on this tour was awesome. Halford at the part with "When we talk with other men, we see red and then..." is just magnificent.
absolutamente, tocan como criminales. Saludos de Chile
KK really knows how to cry and scream through his Flying V
Love KK's vibrato here. His signature sound.
I am amazed by how great this band sounds. Halford is unbelieveable! I love how heavy they are!
So there I was 58 years old wearing my 1982 Vengeance Tour tee shirt. A 40 year old tee shirt with the Judas Priest Screaming for Vengeance eagle on it. I'm driving along and a group of hispanic teens were blocking the street daring you to honk. I was all "WTF!" and "Bruh." These little shits staring me down all hard and shit. They all threw up horns and screamed PRIEST! FUCK YEAH! BAD ASS SHIRT DUDE HELL YEAH!!" SOME people get SOMETHING through to their kids. And leave it to THIS band to be that magic the breaks all barriers.
So nice to hear Ian Hill... Nasty tone!
Brilliant performance. Halford sounds unreal. From a maiden fan .
Greatest music known to mankind!
who doesn't love a solid bass intro, especially this one.
Judas Priest has destroyed all in this song. This song is not a song , is a class!!!!!!!
love how they played this song live! The bassline is friggin awesome! Usually, Ian conducts his business in his corner, all quiet, seeks no attention, but I'm glad when he gets to open a song with his bass. The only other songs I know he gets to open that I know are "Love Bites" and "Revolution".
Please come back KK!... Rob's voice is unstoppable!
That's a voice that has been built over 30 years at this point. In fact all of them are just master gods. My favourite metal band over the decades
K.K MAN! YOU WERE BORN FOR STAGE AND TO ROCK
Man K.K. is amazing. Bring him back please.
Does he want to come back ?
I believe his own Priest goes fine.🤘
Kk knows how to talk with his guitar ultra control...
When ever I am asked if I like heavy metal my reply is 'Judas priest'.
You know. ...it's a rare thing, especially when you are a musician, for a song to really move you. Well let me tell you what, this absofrigginglutely did exactly that for me! K.K.'s solos just melted my face, Halford did a better vocal performance in this live show on this song than he did on the studio version! Gave me the chills! My personal favorite song from the British Steel album, and what a epic rendition we have here!
The Metal Gods still Rule!
you can't say that about halford ,he kept spitting his words up all the time!!!
Impalaman1968 all true!
Did u miss that tour? They played the Entire British Steel album!
KK's last tour. It was Epic! 2008 I think.
Been a priest fan since 79,but have to tell ya Rob blows this song out the park🎤🎸🥁🍺
I would love to do that song in front of a crowd
K.K.'s soloing and guitar tone here are so bad-ass!
The kick ass album that has stood the test of time!
KK always puts so much heart and soul into everything he plays. I enjoy and miss seeing him go apeshit onstage. You can fill a position but you can never replicate somebody's essence. We should all start a petition. Priest needs him back now that Glenn isn't there. Without those two its starting to feel more and more like a solo project instead of Priest.
Truer words were never spoken. But time only moves forward, there is no going back to the way things were. We are privileged to have been a part of this. What a great band! What great fans! And it goes on and on for fifty years, half a century. We've grown old together. The Priest has made it better. I'm 67 and still listening and enjoying as much as ever.
@@charlessullivan5370 May God bless you my friend. This Metal God right here would, no doubt !
NOW. I love Richie. But come on PREIST. CRAZY.
I always saw KK as the better showman of the two. Just an amazing performer.
"I do remember one occasion in Ramport Studios where K.K. was going to take a solo - and I'd never experienced this before: He went into the studio, put his guitar on, turned all the stuff up and got the sound, and said, 'OK, let's roll the tape and see what happens.' The tape started rolling and he immediately started going into all his stage movements - sorta 'throwing shapes' as they call it. I thought to myself, 'Why is he doing that? We're in the studio.' And I said to him, 'Why are you doing that? Why don't you just concentrate on your playing?' And he said, 'Well, that's part of the playing. The way I feel is the way I move and it influences the music.'".
The song was played live in the albums "Unleashed in the East" and "Priest...Live!". Roger Glover (Deep Purple)
Thank you Judas Priest for this absolute phantastic song. One if my favorites.
Cannot get enough of Classic Judas Priest!!!
All Hail the PRIEST
Kennedy K horns up! for the metal gods
Probably the best live band in the world. Studio tight! Always!
Killer bassline
f#cking goosebumps every time man......🤘👊
This song (and this version in particular) has become my new favorite by the Priest!
This is when his vocals became stronger than the previous tours. And it got better from here. He really learned how to use his matured voice.
My comment was a little poorly written. I meant that was when his MATURED voice got better and he learned how to use his matured voice during this time since their reunion ai should have said. That’s what I meant. Cause for the first 2 tours especially he wasn’t conditioned properly and was smoking cigarettes before the reunion and stuff like that but by the third tour he started using his voice differently like songs like Judas Rising became better live because he wasn’t hitting the highs that sounded a little off during the live versions till Epitaph he sang it differently and brought in his deeper ranges too for some of the highs which worked beautifully. But I think Epitaph he was perfect. The Rage is a song I’ve loved forever and never thought I’d hear that OR Blood Red Skies OR fucking Screaming For Vengeance, Devils Child, Saints in Hell, the Rage, Starbreaker, Hell Patrol, Tyrant….(still waiting for GENOCIDE!!and Island of Domination and a new take on Out in The Cold would be great probably!) but I never thought I’d hear these songs live ESPECIALLY Saints in Hell and Screaming for Vengeance and he sang those songs PERFECTLY in Oshawa, Ontario for the Firepower tour!!!!
This is the better than the studio version 🙂🙃🙂
A rarely presented precious gem. Love this song.
K.K. is/was The Soul, of the Priest if you really think of the stage performance, charisma and so on during the years, in my humble metal opinion. He took the changes, always kick ass superb with Scott and the Voice of Rob also superb massive ;)
Crushing metal I love it it makes me feel alive Judas Priest is the best metal band on the planet
Love the bass
For 50+ years, Ian Hill has shown up every night and parked himself at the back of stage left, and poured the foundation!
This really is stellar. Great performance and fantastic live mix.
Rob halford had one of the best screams in metal ever.
We don't call him the Metal God for nothing! 🤘
Aathey are not screams its called a falsetto
And Perry M. it's not had, it's has He still has it it in 2021, they're back on tour ! L.A. in Oct., 2021 @ Microsoft Arena.
The boss:)
I love it when they play these less than radio hit songs. I know them as well as the hits. they are all hits to me.
PURE HEAVY METAL LORDS OF METAL WELL..
This has gotta be one of the greatest live performances priest has ever done. The sound and robs vocals are phenomenal!
Criminally underrated track 🤘🤘
OMG you gotta' be kidding me - SUPERB!
I could watch Scott mash those drums all day, such force behind every hit!
watch any of the earlier priest and see the original "king of the drums"
Downing is " ON FIRE". An incredible solo.
I’m glad that I can watch the old footage of Priest, they are truly legendary band 🤟
Damn!! What a Powerful Song!!
KK is the boss on this song!He plays all the solos and with such precision, one of the most underrated metal guitarists ever,of not the most.
Totally. A lot of JP fans think Glenn is better, but I disagree.
K.K. has always been my favourite of the two, one of the most underrated (comparatively) guitarists in music history
@Logan Waltz agreed. Glenn was less experimental but technically hitting his notes like a machine, KK just didn't give a fuck and balled out every chance he got. That's what made the duo work. KK is severely underrated
@@hinjurock Glenn is more proficient and composed more interesting solos. But that isn't to say KK didn't. And the way KK mentions in his book, Glenn tried to relegate KK and so he got less and less solos over the years. Tha explains why Glenn advanced the most, because he got most of the lead work.
@@Walamonga1313
I don't think that Glenn was any more advanced than KK, and KK played with more passion and heart. I love Glenn's work as well, but KK is my favorite of the two.
Long live the priest !
The whole band is on top of this one. However, I have to give special mention to Scott Travis here because his powerful, yet restrained approach to the kit give JP a whopping great shot in the arm. He's a skilled drummer, with added strength and showmanship, and I don't think anyone can argue with that.
Perfection from start to finish ...I mean that lead guitarist ... holy shit .. 😲
Esto si es metal del bueno , GRANDE JUDAS PRIEST , the METAL GOD !!!
Rob is the live proof that you do not need hair to headbang
One of my favorites of this period. They never played this one and I never knew why. Fuckin thing slams!!!
from @3:24 until @3:56 that`s attitud, that style he is puttin his soul into the words he sing that`s why he is my favorite singer no one do it like Rob. EVEN WHIT HE`S AGE THE LIMITATIONS THAT HE HAS NOW ITS INCREDIBLE (ok im a fan sorry)
The drummer is one of the best in the business
Amazing song from an amazing album.
Downing was on fire throughout that whole performance. He killed on pretty much every solo for every track.
Another great cut from this great concert. Priest forever!
NO ONE BETTER !!!!!
A True Rock Opera.
I went to this 30 yr British Steel tour, one of the best shows I have ever seen (and I have seen JP many times)
Kk is the best,,he always do the dificult parts of solos...
Glad I caught this tour in Atlanta, as it turned out to be the last time we got to see Glen, and KK together... Now they are both gone from the stage, but I must say the Firepower tour was fantastic!!!
kK, plays with such attitude and emotion,,, wish he was back in Priest were he belongs!!
Amazing. Even the vocals were perfect.
One of the meanest riffs ever played
I love Ian’s bass tone, so heavy.
Underrated track from the Metal Gods.🤘
Absolute beast of a song 🤘🤘
Jesus Christ what a performance!
Man...that voice, even after all these years. Unbelievable!
Gotta be 2,379 times I've listened to this now...still gives me chills. oooooh it's just SO nasty.
2020 We All Feel The Rage!!!!
Holy Fuck!!! KK is smokin' here, Scott Travis is slammin', and Halford is slayin' it. I've loved this album from the first time I heard it when I was 14. The band just doesn't quit!!
#Priestfanforeva 🤘🤘🤘
You must be a yearolder than me, because I was 13 when this album came out. i just turned 52. And JP is still my favorite metal band !
rbagel55 I'll be 51 in Dec. Priest is without a doubt, my favorite band! 🤘
Mine too. I was just a kid in 7th grade the first time I heard them. The local rock radio station played "Victim Of changes" off their then new live album "Unleashed In The East". I was so in awe of what I was hearing I rode my bicycle like 12 miles across town to the only record store that had that album in stock, I just had to have it
RIGHT THEN. They have been my favorite metal band ever since, over 40 years ago !
