I like this idea for a monthly summary of bands you’ve been listening too. Some of those bands I’ve not heard of to look into. And got a lot of space on those shelves for your music collection to fill up. \m/ I wish I had lots of spare shelves. XD
I dig your Old Man's Child shirt. Batushka is a Polish band with a Russian name which translates to "Father" as in a priest. Also, its actually pronounce Bah-Yoush-ka. Personally, I only liked their debut. It wasn't the same after all the dumb legal stuff happened with the band. As for Decapitated, I saw them earlier this year with Kataklysm and Septicflesh. I would say my favorite album of the month of August would definitely be Eisregan - Abart. If you're a Nightwish fan, I strongly recommend the new Alkonost album. I just reviewed the new God Dethroned album The Judas Paradox which comes out tomorrow. It's fantastic! For the month of September, I am most looking forward to the new Apep album titled Before Whom Evil Trembles which comes out on the 13th and the new Kanonenfieber album Die Urkatastrophe which comes out on the 20th.
Great array of bands, as for Skeletonwitch they are apparently still going and making new music (metalinjection article from 2 years ago...) but they've had some lineup changes including the singer Chance parting with the band before their most recently album, hence it sounds a bit different. If you like black metal with a little more melody (nice shirt!) then I can absolutely recommend Moonlight Sorcery, Stormkeep and Hovmod
Totally random question but do you like Hypocrisy? I was thinking of ranking their discography as couldn't find a single RUclipsr that had yet ranked them, and would love to see how you would rank their catalogue 🤘
