I took the images from the early 90s Baraka. This song is truly amazing. I have attached some photos I've taken. If you would like to see more visit and like my facebook page. / etralik
i bought this album when it came out, and i remember knowing that vision one was going to be my favorite track off the album before i'd heard a single second. all these years later and it's still my favorite track off the album
There was a time when all the shadows of these tall buildings Would throw their cape around each corner of the grassy fields And one by one, each huge shade would cover the green with black Allowing changes that we could not have foreseen. Everybody let us gaze upon the world we created And let's rest our eyes upon the great machine as we wave goodbye Feel the evening breeze caress us while the cities are dying As we watch it fall into a modern state, a modern time.
Remember when we'd hear the distant sound of human life. A zillion noises whimper as they travel through the sky. And one by one, each little sound has faded away with time. Allowing changes that we could not have foreseen. Everybody let us say goodbye to all our notions. 'Cause it's not enough to say that we're humane when we're left behind. It's too late to think that we can worship human emotions. 'Cause we've already evolved into machines in our minds.
I absolutely love this. A close friend I lost recently swore up and down that he was the original writer for this music, and though I don't believe that in the least bit, I still like listening to this and thinking of him
There was a time when all the shadows of these tall buildings would throw their cape around each corner of the grassy fields And one by one each huge shade would color the green with black Allowing changes that we could not have foreseen Everybody let us gaze upon the world we've created Let us rest our eyes upon the great machine as we wave goodbye Feel the evening breeze caress us while the cities are dying As we watch it fall into a modern state, a modern time Simply awesome :D
One of the most futuristic creations in music production and songwriting I've been afforded to hear and listen to. Inspiring music and very philosophical theme. Its the stuff that makes you think about creation itself. This is music with the future in mind or the music itself was made in the future who knows. I Dont know, Royksopp would know.
One of my favourite tracks from my favourite band of electronic music. Since I bought this album in Amsterdam, 9 years ago, I listened to it for hundred times...
I discovered Royksopp because of the Pony Stareskopp video, and now I can't stop listening to this duo. Their stuff is so... uplifting! Even the sad songs. One of my favorite new music groups.
Lol i got it... the beginning reminds me of Super Mario Bros 3 on Nintendo. When you defeat a boss, that tune is played and the King thanks you with a gift. It takes me back man i love it.
2:24 this song is great to listen to when you walk in the city : It's too late to think that we can worship human emotions 'Cause we've already evolved into machines, in our minds

Little big planet 2? They are so good for the musical choice, I think about DJ Krush on LBP1.
I agree the LittleBigPlanet games had great soundtracks, I wish they had done a 4th one.

Wild love to know how they got the stretching rubber band synth sound...
I wild also like to know that
frequency modulation (FM) synthesis probably, it's amazing how many sounds you can achieve using this method
4 years late but someone recreated it in Ableton. There's a post on youtube.
I wild love to love to this song

+Geir Karlsen I don't understand how you got all of that from the song lyrics. It seems to be pretty judgement neutral on our changing as a society.
