I’ve spent 15 years looking for this song. Humming the melody into google didn’t work and people didn’t understand it. This was the final song I was looking for (there was 5 of them) and I’m so happy I could cry 😢
This song is so cherished for me that I don't know I really knew it before or it brings me warm nostalgia from somewhere. Btw what are the other 4 songs?
To all the folk that love this and we’re searching for it- I loved Royksopp since I was a teenager some 20 years ago. Oh how time disappears. But what I find interesting as an ex crate digger, is that this sampled from a cover of Bobby Vintons classic by Gals and Pals. But still has the distinct production lineage of the one and only Burt Bacharach- the original composer. Royksopp and Bacharach together are divine we can all attest. I was listening many years later only recently to the original and had to rack my brain for this one too- despite owning it on vinyl years ago. Much like time our thoughts slip away. This song almost emphasises that for me. So I guess what I’m saying with my old rant is- remember the things that make you happy, remember the things that change.. and remember that sometimes it all works out in a beautiful way. Much love to you all. RIP, you were a genius, thank you Gals and Pals and thank you Royksopp for a lifetime of beautiful and respectfully sampled tunes
It's not an exaggeration to say I've spent my whole life looking for this song. Heard it in a SpongeBob ad at age 4. Occasionally heard it as background music since then, but still no idea of its name. At the age of 23, I've finally found it.
Same. I just hummed it into google and was surprised to find it. I heard it back in 2001 at age 10/11 on the background on adverts and shows but could never find it because it just seemed like humming and lyrics. So glad I found it though. The 10 year old me will be happy
This just appeared in my recommendations during a moment in life, where it just... FITS. It's 4:11 am and it gives me an unexplainable but beautiful feeling.
Bro wtf that's literally the exact same with me I'm not even joking. When my grandma's was alive we would go down to Devon from greater London and be would play this song loads. That's so weird.
omg. my dad used to play this on really long car journeys down to Cornwall when i was younger. try listening to the albums: the chillout album (1999) and the chillout annual 2002. Also do any of you happen to have the last name beardmore?
I'm also one of the many folks here who spent over a decade looking for this song. Kinda remembered the band name, kinda remembered where they're from and kinda remembered the video, but that didn't help. Now they're about to do a concert in my city, so I got the band name straight, listed all their songs prior to 2010 and here I am :) Bookmarked!
I am crying. I was a kid when this song entered my ears and since then I couldn't find it. Thank you, u don't know how much this song represents to me...
I remember listening to this song when I was about 4-5. I am 15 (as I am writing this comment anyway) and a few days ago I told my mom about a song I remember with an album cover of a sunset with some dark trees and today I was looking through all the CDs on the shelf and my mom said “oh wait, this is the album with the song that goes “blue on blue”” and I immediately shouted “YES!” as I have just unlocked a memory that I have been trying to remember for 11 years. Listened to it again with the CD player and now it’s on my spotify playlist so I don’t forget it
+TheReservoirduck i do too, also like other world, the intro and program was on Saturday afternoon, yet no one remembered it, the internet rocks, too bad it was not around during the 80s, life would be easier finding stuff from that time
This track was on my favorite chill mix ever, by DJ Manx from PDX. His real name was Dave. I listened to this a million times in 2002-2004. I looked up some of the amazing tracks, some were Boards of Canada, some were Mr. Projectile, some like this one I never figured out what they were. Now here I am almost 15 years later and I stumbled on this and immediately recognized it. Manx died from suicide ten years back now. Every few years I forget and search to see if he has any more mixes and then someone reminds me. Hearing this track for the first time in years is a much nicer way to remember him but it’s still bittersweet. Please everyone stay warm this winter and know you are loved, somewhere, somehow, even if you don’t see it...
I first heard this on an advert in 2004 and i was enchanted. However, I didn’t know the artist or the song title. Then, in 2019 I was watching an old episode of cutting it, and this song played when they were in a club. I tried to Shazam it with my phone through the TV but no luck! I finally managed to find this song when it was living rent free again in my head last night at 3am! (took two humming attempts through google but we finally got there!) so it’s taken me 20 years but worth the wait and now my curiosity has certainly been satisfied! 😊
I can so fucking relate this used to be on an advert when I was a kid and I could always replay it in my head but never know the lyrics to find and I just accidentally found it tonight FATEEEEEEEEEEEEEE MOTHER FUCKERS
Bought this CD for a different song (Remind me). Discovered So EASY in the middle of the night riding through the Mojave Desert, deserted, no other traffic. The perfect number. Remind ME still one of my favorite albums ever.
Back in the day this was originally on a Motorola advert and I drove my parents mad trying to find what it was. Found it and got the album, I was obsessed at around 11yrs old
I never heard this song I think, but I feel like I know it and somehow this song brings me in another time. I'm listening to this song for 3 hours straight now

This song, The Phantom Menace, Vib-Ribbon, SpongeBob Squarepants, Pokémon Stadium, The Mummy, The Matrix and Nunavut were all released/made in 1999. What a year to alive in

Glad you found it. How did you find it in the end ?

Sometimes it take years to things to fall in place. Live is like tetris

De esas veces que agradezco el algoritmo de youtube,me desbloqueo un recuerdo de la infancia
Bellissimo revival del ritornello di "Blue on blue" (Bobby Vinton). Le sonorita' aprono i cieli..😍

Weirdly relatable.
It's sampled from an old swedish band called pals and gals whom in turn were remaking an older song called blue on blue.
Yes, its in that genre 😉

I knew I heard this tune before, it was the music in a bob squarepants commercial on nickelodeon 2002
After seeing this I went n watched the movie. ^_^ AWESOOOME! So pure and beautiful.
Cutest movie in the history of cuteness. Seriously. Not sure how it's supposed to fit with the song though.

Blue on blue, heartache to heartache
Blue on Blue, now that we are through
?
Not the lyrics. The music itself and the visuals. :P
MASTERPIECE 💣💣💣💣♥️♥️♥️
Someone once did a mashup of this and Coraline, but it got taken down. .. . .I really miss it! :(
The caveman Geico commercial got me interested in the band, but this video got me invested in it. Also made me watch the film.
There was a sample of this song? I hummed it to Google and it found this. I can't believe it actually worked
