I’m a old dancer from a psychic family. I can tell you that dancing does cause the chakras to move. It has happened to a few times in my life. After dancing by myself then sitting quitely I have had a visions specially for myself. Also jut the act of dancing any type of dancing is good for the spirit body because it moves energy through out the body. Just my experience. 💕

I respect your wish and thinking though I must mention that "a little bit of this teaching, plus some of that 'wisdom' plus then add that swami's views, all mixed up and packaged which ever way an individual about it all" is about the worst way to 'a true selfgiving to the Divine', which is the main purpose of our Life. Why? Because the "individual packaging path" is all mental, your needed 'discussions' are using the analytical tool to evaluate 'what's nice to know' instead what your best inner path should be, but that's also the most direct way to get you off course. Study the various teachers path''s if you must, though it's suggested you asking the Divine to guide you to what is the right teacher for you, not your mind or feeling's conclusions; then stay with that approach with all that you are. Your own hodgepodge approach of the various teachings will send you into quicksand and that can be devastating.

You can only get what your aura and chakras are by working with them. Your inner teachers will teach you more and more. As you can see, ancient people showed a lot more respect for the mystery and avoided coming up with material based comprehensions. In a nutshell, it is infinitly more beautiful, complex and sacred than you will ever be able to grasp.

    * ~9:00: 6-chakra systems vs. 7-chakra systems. I've heard & read several times, where scholars state they believe that the cognition mode of humans in ancient times was fundamentally different than the manner in which modern humans think. It hits me to speculate that perhaps there was an evolutionary advancement(?) which cascaded throughout the species, and mankind developed a 7th chakra. The moment that happened, the mode of cognition changed (e.g., no more voices of gods, etc.), and it would become necessary to develop the 7-chakra system to accommodate the new status quo.
I've also heard/read in the past, about 2 chakras which Debashish didn't mention: One being the "Star chakra" ~2.5'-3' above the head (holding arms extended up, palms of flat hands meet with chakra encased), and the other being the "Earth chakra", 3'-6' below the feet when standing.

I have managed to experience the kundiini rising in a few deep mediations now after clearing the chakras and then charging them with energy(over many weeks). I had a mental image and feeling of my spine becoming a serpent. I had never heard anything about this serpent thing until I looked into it after this happening. The feeling is so intense and strange I have stopped meditating not long after this begins, but I plan to keep practicing and see where it goes and what I can do with it once I become familiar with the feeling, because as I said it's very very strange and intense.

i can attest that it is possible to open the current from below and the descending current simultaneously so that there is a continuous flow or circulating current. but it is a little overwhelming. it is also difficult to manage the fullness of the energy. it seems to put a lot of pressure on the cell membranes. it was a blessing, but i was damaged by it afterwards, and i must confess fearful. whenever i felt this occurring again i would resist it because i was certain it would kill me. it was like a determined tiger awaiting my submission after a long pursuit.
is not necessary to develop deep trance states for this to occur and i never was unconscious during the process.
it gave me a profound respect for my Master AdiDa as i could not fathom how he could maintain a physical form with such a tremendous flow of energy. it was a testament to his Divine nature.

I agree that it does have potential for causing psychosis, raising Kundalini from root to crown. (Edit for clarification to include: raising without guidance or self preparedness). There is a tendency for "kundalini psychosis" in a raising that occurs in shock but the same can happen crown to root too. Often this map is also applied to the tree of life and much can be said climbing up or down. Thank you for sharing this interesting map.

    • @seratonyn
      @seratonyn 3 года назад +1

Falling from crown to root seems counterintuitive bc you're putting all your energy into the centre of poo consciousness. Wouldn't it be more apt to stretch that serpent out and have it fill the map of each chakra rather than sleep in any one? Is that not the purpose of breaking those seals??? To activate all centers in concourse? Just one at one time would create major imbalances I'd think.

Chakra. (Skt. for “wheel,” “disc,” “circle.”) Term used to denote the centers of light anchored in the etheric body and governing the flow of energy to the four lower bodies of man. There are seven major chakras corresponding to the seven rays, five minor chakras corresponding to the five secret rays, and a total of 144 light centers in the body of man. The seven major chakras, their rays, Sanskrit names, and colors are as follows: First Ray, throat, Vishuddha, blue; Second Ray, crown, Sahasrara, yellow; Third Ray, heart, Anahata, pink; Fourth Ray, base-of-the-spine, Muladhara, white; Fifth Ray, third eye, Ajna, green; Sixth Ray, solar plexus, Manipura, purple and gold; Seventh Ray, seat-of-the-soul, Svadhishthana, violet.

Dear Dr. Mishlove. There are approaches beyond hearing this predominantly Indian point of view on the Chakra system. In fact Sadhguru( agree to disagree with him) has also extensively discussed on the fact that there is too much confusion wrt. the shape of the Chakras in the public's mind. Of the two major meridians( of twelve) Du meridian corresponds to the Spine.
One thing I agree the Spine is the key to spiritual advancement. Hence the Spine in Sanskrit is the "Meru Danda"- the AXis of Mount Meru. In fact Sadhguru says your lifespan is highly related to the energy in the Spine- Spinal exercises are essential to maintain a subtle body.
Its through the subtle activation of the Cebero Spinal Fluid that energy propagates from lowest Chakra ( Muladhara ) all the way to the top of the head - Sahasara that the subtle energy propagates.
This is the EXACT same exercise in Microcosmic Orbit (Master Mantak Chia) where the raising reaches the "Baihui" point at the top of the skull.
This is also in another approach the exact same thing Gopi Krishna performed which resulted in his experience with the eternal "Serpent Power".
Hopefully you also speak to a Taoist scholar on this same area in great detail. Will look fwd to it.

Interesting history I've never heard before. Great guest, a real expert.
Chakras, subtle bodies, siddhis, nadis, makes sense.
The "deities" representing energies is interesting, but goddess worship, nope.
"...It suggests the male is immobile, it's being not acting, whereas the female energy seems to be necessary for action in the world."
LOL, Um, what? You see that where in nature? Did you ever raise kids? Did you ever teach kids? Did you ever raise animals? This is starting to sounds like feminist pandering. Too weird for me. Maybe Indian culture is different and men are passive and women are aggressive, but I don't see that in this culture. I think that is probably a cultural overlay on the system and not universal.

OP, you apparently don't understand what is refered to here by the masculine and feminine. It's not necessarily the same as male and female.
In tantric philosophy-mythology the masculine is represented by Shiva, and the feminine by Shakti.
The goddess name Shakti literaly means "energy" or "power", she is the totality of all kinetic force in the universe and beyond.
Shiva is the "foundation", the space where the universe gets manifested.
Your human body has always been in transformation. Your body right now is not in the same shape when you where and infant.
Your body and rest of the manifested world itself is the "goddess".
Shiva is the part of yourself that alwas have been present and unchangeable, the silent observer.
He is the "base" consicousness and the totality of all consciousness in the cosmos and beyond.
You can never "see" Shiva, because he is the counsciousness in which all that is seen gets manifested in.
For example, when you sit in front of the computer screen.
One could say that Shakti is the like the coloured pixels on the screen, and the sound from the speakers. What you can see and hear.
Shiva is immovable, like the computer screen itself.
He is also "the source" of the consciousness that sits in front of the computer, moves the mouse pointer, press the buttons on the keyboard, and directs the awareness to look at different parts of the screen.
He makes Shakti appear in different ways as all the different web pages, programs, videogames, youtube movies etc.
She exists because he observes her.
Without her, he would have nothing to observe.
Eternal all-seing limitless counscousness. (Like the mythological images of Shiva as a meditating yogi)
But nothing will ever happen. No action or play without the goddess bringing in the action.
You can never see Shiva directly, but in deep states of meditation, if you look at Shakti(reality), and the picture becomes clear. She becomes like a clear mirror, reflecting back so you can see your eternal self, the one that is outside the universe looking in.
The universe is a mirror of yourself, and the universe is a projection of you.
      ---
On the discussion above where "men being agressive" and "females being passive":
-A non-masculine person is the one who is controlled by the energies and impulses coming from inside of his body, he is "weak" and dominated by the feminine.
      From a human wiev:
A masculine man is not swept away by his internal energies. Being master of himself, he directs his own will(internal energy, feminine), and uses it to "penetrate" the goddess(the world, feminine), by manifesting his will by acting in the world. "Creating order out of chaos" etc
If you look that the classic Shiva Nataraja statues, The surrounding energy circle is the feminine.
And it's she that "dances to his drum" and not the other way aroud.
She follows him because she wants to, she enjoys it and trusts his lead.
      So it´s not "feminist" xD

Acting may walk all over being, but being doesn't really care because acting is not real in the same way that being is.
