You do realize you you can get a tradesman for 50k with extra equipment right? And depending on where you live it could be more or less , 57k is a lot but lets not start with “for one trim higher above the base” this trim level stock with no extra equipment packages is around 40-45k i had to deliver one from Tennessee to Georgia and after shipping fee the total was $45,350 (again depending on where you live and the dealership it could be higher or lower)
I know right these prices are insane. My 2017 2500 Laramie with every option except the sunroof was 68k and got 12k off when it was new. Now they are in the 90s
The dollar is declining, we are now 33 trillion in debt. so the dollar has lost significant value. If your truck is paid then keep it, change the oil it will last a long time. My 2011 st IS staying with me till I die.
I paid $32k for my Ram 1500 Classic Tradesman brand new in 2020 with a quad cab, V8, chrome trim with trailer package, cloth interior, power doors and windows. Just paying more for less truck these days.
My 2014 sport had 5.7 hemi Leather seats, moon roof, dual zone climate, both powered seats, powered back window, factory bed liner. 8inch screen with the nicer upgraded infotainment system, Alpine speakers and daytime running lights. The starting MSRP was around $40k! 10 years later this basic thing is $15k more?! Something is not right with this world
I love that Big Horn the way it's optioned out. I would add LED headlights, but you could buy them( the bulbs) through Headlight Revolution. Great review as always Ben!
Interesting. I have a ‘22 Bighorn with the midnight/night/ black package. So, black 20” inch wheels, black body color, 4x4 with trailer brake, dual zone climate, 12” info screen, extended cab with the longer bed, power driver bucket seat, hemi engine. Very well-optioned, in other words, for the Bighorn. MSRP was, I think, right around $60,000. I added aftermarket leather seats, though the cloth seats were surprisingly good. The ‘24 is underwhelming by comparison at $57,000.
Right!! I have a 21 bighorn midnight edition, it has the sliding rear window, 20 inch wheels, 12 inch screen with the alpine system and the msrp was 51 thousand.
Back to your previous video, I’ve noticed finding a big horn with the bigger infotainment screen is becoming harder and harder. 4th gen big horns were optioned nicer than these….
I just replaced my 21 ram big horn with a 24 big horn. The 21 had GPS parking sensors. The 21 radio with uconnect is way better then the 24. Besides those 2 missing options in the 24 they added heated seats and steering wheel which is amazing. Great truck as always. Plenty of power.
I bought a new ‘23 Ram Big Horn Hemi Equip Gr-1 on 3-22-24 with a MSRP of $61k for $49,329 OTD. Bought near Kalamazoo MI. I did use the 1st Responder and Employee Choice incentive. I’ve been looking since September, watching Brandon and the Car Edge channel was helpful.
Boy, your money doesn't go very far now days. I remember when I bought my 2015 Ram 1500 Sport brand new, heated/cooled seats, heated steering wheel all leather, sun roof, large screen, power everything for just over 45,0000 Canadian! The same truck now literally costs almost $90,000 Canadian....it blows me away. She's paid for, and right now that's worth a whole lot more to me than a shiny new truck. But to pay that for cloth seats, no bed liner, halogen bulbs, small screen etc. absolutely no way. I'll wait until prices aren't in the land of make believe.
I have a 2020 Bighorn with a level 2 trim package moonroof heated seats heated steering wheel usb-c ports and all that stuff. This truck looks exactly the same as the one I have. Can anybody tell me what the difference is? I had to buy it out when my lease ended around this time last year and I'm trying to get the payment down so I'm either going to refinance this truck through my credit union or see about getting a new one but I honestly can't see any difference. It looks like the difference between an iPhone 13 Promax in an iPhone 14 pro Max with a whole 4 years in between.
I like “decontenting “. When I compare this at 57K with my 19 bighorn which had all led lights, adjustable pedals, power seats, spray in liner, tonneau cover and stuff i don’t recall now all for 38K due to awesome rebates. Well, the the world has changed in 5 years. I’m out of the truck market now but I miss my bighorn.
My dad just went through the same thing. He had a 2020 Big Horn with LED headlights/taillights, 20" wheels, and the air suspension for around $55k. When his lease ended this summer, he got a '23 Big Horn for about the same price that is optioned like the one in the video. No big display in the gauge cluster, no dual zone climate, halogen lights, no air suspension, and it had the 18" plain wheels. He still likes the truck, but it was definitely a step down options-wise.
I totally agree about how confusing the trims are. If you build a truck online, if you choose a wheel type, you need to choose this electronic package. Really???? Wheels=tech package?? It is very weird and the packages Big Horn 1, Big Horn 2, and package level B??? It is just difficult to understand for such a beautiful truck.
Waiting to see if Ram Canada opens up orders for the Big Horn with night, off road, and premium lighting packages. If not, guess I’ll be ordering a Sport.
You can get a Tundra Limited for just a bit more. And that comes with a lot more features than this. I’m a Ram guy too, had a 2019 but sold a couple years ago.
I have a 2022 Quad Cab Big Horn... Delmonico Red, hemi non etorque, and it has an 8-way adjustable seat but no ice bucket. Body matched handles, and I paid $48k before rebate trade in. I think I got a Big Horn Unicorn...
😂 Halogen headlights, no spray bed liner, no power driver and passenger seat, short bed, no GPS, no LED lights, no heated seats 😂 I keep my Ford F-150 XLT long bed, LED lights, power driver and passenger seats, heated seats, spray bedliner, and 12” screen with GPS and more🇺🇸
Like two years ago you could get a big horn with the night package loaded for 52k, every year we get less for more, I’m not talking about 75 years ago 😂
In Australia this truck is $120 thousand AUD so around $96 thousand USD. Ram via the agents and dealers here in Australia are Fing highway robbers. It’s any wonder China is pumping their trucks into Australia, look at the competition, $80 grand more expensive. If Chrysler got their act together and built RHD sending them direct, at a factory price, they’d be the number 1 seller in oz.
This looks like a tradesman not a big horn, based on the center console, bench front seat, no USB ports on the rear of center console where the void is. Unless RAM is now lowering the features on the big horn and a divided front seat is now going to be at a premium.
that etorque system is the reason why I started looking else where ... they try to stick that sucker into anything they don't want to sell to much off ... idk whats with r&d I get they are trying something and I mean it's better then putting a 4cyl like chevy did but still horrible ... not actual MPG gains, no actual throttle gains super headaches with glitches ... kinda a dead system to kill off a line up then say no1 wants to buy it ...
So this BigHorn has 4 wheel auto and sliding rear window but the Laramie, in your previous review, which is a trim level above the BigHorn, did not. I also prefer the bucket power front seats with the extended center console but that seems to have gone away. Big yawn on the wheels on this truck.
My 2023 Silverado lt cost 10k less than that ram and has wayyyy more features. Shame because ram used to be the go to of the big 3 for value vs features.
For 57,000$ they could have at least painted the handles and mirrors! Other than that I want that exact spec but I can’t afford that and at the age of 20 I don’t think insuring or financing one would be physically possible 😂😂😂
Author of video and all people in Colorado are millionaires , everything is affordable for them, especially if you live in hotel mama and you are 30+ and just doing yt videos
Ben, youre right about the "strange decontenting"! The eTorque Hemi is great, but no power seat or digital dual zone climate for that price is weird. But, Hey! The UAW gets a 40% raise and 20% fewer hours! Where can i apply?
The decontenting is unfortunate but it's a sign of the times- pay more and get less. The Finance Director (aka the Mrs.) has 2020 1500 Big Horn Level 2 trim and it's better equipped than this one ( heated seats/steering wheel, power adjustable pedals, power lumbar/power driver's seat, Park Sense front and rear, 20" wheels, rear fender liners, dual zone climate control, 3.92's etc., etc.) .... most everything that's included in the current Big Horn Level B trim package except for the 12" screen. The same truck now will have an MSRP 10K higher .... that's not sustainable. Glad we got it when we did. And it's not going to get better- there's a better than good chance the UAW will go on strike plus the gov't's insane push to EV's will lead to a new round of bankruptcies. This isn't going to end well.
$57k for one trim above base is not affordable. Looks like I’m going to have to hold onto my Classic Tradesman for a good while, it’s paid off.
Welcome to 2023. Where the dollars value is shit.
You do realize you you can get a tradesman for 50k with extra equipment right? The Best is Yet to Come

The ‘23 1500 Classic Tradesman base trim starts at $30,695 plus a delivery charge. That is an actually affordable 1500 Ram.
And thats a single cab v6 2wd base model with absolutely no amenities thats also 14 years old in design
I paid $32k for my Ram 1500 Classic Tradesman brand new in 2020 with a quad cab, V8, chrome trim with trailer package, cloth interior, power doors and windows. Just paying more for less truck these days.
Australia that truck is $98 thousand AUD, so around $78 thousand USD. Ram via their agents here rob us blind.
My 2014 sport had 5.7 hemi
Leather seats, moon roof, dual zone climate, both powered seats, powered back window, factory bed liner. 8inch screen with the nicer upgraded infotainment system, Alpine speakers and daytime running lights. The starting MSRP was around $40k!

You can thank the government printing loads of money for that
I love that Big Horn the way it's optioned out. I would add LED headlights, but you could buy them( the bulbs) through Headlight Revolution. Great review as always Ben!

The only thing I hate in all Ram trucks is the dial shifter
Real Value: $32k
A soon as it's driven off the lot, deprecation brings it right back down to 40k, where it should have started in the first place.
Definitely not affordable, $40,000 truck for 57 thousand. You guys need to quit saying anything's affordable cuz they're all way overpriced.
Overpriced is an understatement!
Why would Ram include the ice buckets, four wheel drive auto and the opening rear window on the Bighorn and not on the Laramie?
Boy, your money doesn't go very far now days. I remember when I bought my 2015 Ram 1500 Sport brand new, heated/cooled seats, heated steering wheel all leather, sun roof, large screen, power everything for just over 45,0000 Canadian! My 2020 1500 limited was 58k out the door.. I'm definitely priced out of any new truck.😢
Dream truck! My parents have this truck I fell in love with it.
I have a 2021 bighorn and I love it. Glad I bought when rates were low.
Waiting to see if Ram Canada opens up orders for the Big Horn with night, off road, and premium lighting packages. If not, guess I’ll be ordering a Sport.
Bought a 2024 4 door but not a crew cab 5.7 20” wheels bucket seats today for less than 51K there are some buys out there
I picked up a 23 ram tradesman with the towing and the equipment to get the 8.4 inch screen and CarPlay. I got it for 38k otd
You can get a Tundra Limited for just a bit more. And that comes with a lot more features than this. I’m a Ram guy too, had a 2019 but sold a couple years ago.
This is a weird one. Some sort of Tradesman/Warlock/Big Horn combo. Not good
I have a 2022 Quad Cab Big Horn... Delmonico Red, hemi non etorque, and it has an 8-way adjustable seat but no ice bucket. Body matched handles, and I paid $48k before rebate trade in. I think I got a Big Horn Unicorn...
58k out the door for my 2020 limited, fully optioned... what has the truck msrket come to!!
Don't see how people can afford to buy a new truck these days. No way will I ever pay 57k or more for a vehicle.
😂 Halogen headlights, no spray bed liner, no power driver and passenger seat, short bed, no GPS, no LED lights, no heated seats 😂 I keep my Ford F-150 XLT long bed, LED lights, power driver and passenger seats, heated seats, spray bedliner, and 12” screen with GPS and more🇺🇸
Beautiful truck! Love Ram, don't care what the haters say!!!!!!
57k for a truck that was probably 47k new in 2020
Yeah sure when a house in 1957 was 10k and a truck was 2k
Like two years ago you could get a big horn with the night package loaded for 52k, every year we get less for more, I’m not talking about 75 years ago 😂
Ridiculous prices for these trucks...it a crappy dodge!
That price is outrageous! I have 2021 1500 Limited Longhorn and I did not pay much more for what this is selling.
In Australia this truck is $120 thousand AUD so around $96 thousand USD. Ram via the agents and dealers here in Australia are Fing highway robbers. You like the seats more than titans seats?
Guys please need your help ... does RAM offer reliability like Toyota Honda ... and how is their after sales service
Yo
Going down the road a 2014 looks like a 2024. 10 years and they still look the same?
I try to buy 24' Ram 1500 Big Horn pickup.
This looks like a tradesman not a big horn, based on the center console, bench front seat, no USB ports on the rear of center console where the void is. Unless RAM is now lowering the features on the big horn and a divided front seat is now going to be at a premium.
58000 is dirt cheap?
Is Stelanis actively trying to bankrupt ram and dodge?
Yes
More than sure, jeep going down now
that etorque system is the reason why I started looking else where ... they try to stick that sucker into anything they don't want to sell to much off ... idk whats with r&d I get they are trying something and I mean it's better then putting a 4cyl like chevy did but still horrible ... not actual MPG gains, no actual throttle gains super headaches with glitches ... kinda a dead system to kill off a line up then say no1 wants to buy it ...
Shame because ram used to be the go to of the big 3 for value vs features.
your truck is junk. rainman or south main auto will tell you how much more quickly the Chevy will rot away,
@omardevonlittle3817 crap or shit, at the end stinks. All America trucks are garbage.
lol....no mention of MPG or about the "etorque" and its complexities.
I am looking going to a Ram 1500 Big Horn.
My 22 Laramie with some options was cheaper. Make the price make sense again
Insane ram!
I will keep my 22 chevy colorado with its whining and howling rear end thanks....
2024 Ram 1500 Big Horn Lone Star 5.7L V8 Hemi eTorque 8-Speed Automatic Crew Cab 4X4!
Still overpriced though
Only 7 grand less than my LIMITED Night Edition long bed w/moonroof from just 2 years ago. Ridiculous.
Video is not sponsored by Mattress Firm 😊
Can this beat a 5.7 Hemi on the track.
This truck literally has a 5.7 hemi?
Ben, youre right about the "strange decontenting"! The eTorque Hemi is great, but no power seat or digital dual zone climate for that price is weird. But, Hey! The UAW gets a 40% raise and 20% fewer hours! Where can i apply?
Go apply, quit crying
More laughing akchewally. They'll be laid off and crying soon enough
What am I missing. My 2022 bighorn has big display in dash and font and back sensors. This is a downgrade.
I thought the engine would be the new hurricane eng8ne fir 2024
How the hell is 57k affordable? What would your yearly income have to be to make this affordable? What a joke!
From its interior and its front and the wheels it seems that it is replacing the ram classic
I would pay about $37,000.00 dollars on the road.
No way the 18 is right,I’ve had rams v8 for 6 years now and at best 15
The decontenting is unfortunate but it's a sign of the times- pay more and get less. The chrome bumpers and the blacked out handles and mirrors just doesn’t look right to me.
why you would pay extra for a big horn that doesn't have power seat is beyond my comprehension. It can't be that much more.
$57k and you have manual seats? Ram value 📉 too busy focusing on the Revolution.
Anytime I see a tagline “affordable” or “cheap” I click on it and come away drastically disappointed.
$60k is the opposite of affordable
This is stupid money for what you get
Only a sucker
Can you do 2024 Laramie level b night edition please???
Yes
But it's a dodge
this truck is a joke
Omg… talking so fast… slow down
