Just want to tell you again how much I enjoy your videos. Your home, your Charlie, your personality are all such a joy. Your videos are a little treat for my senses. Thank you for sharing your life.
Usually I watch your videos on my phone, as I started this one my husband asked ‘who’s this?’. I said ‘It’s a gal I watch that I like! I like her because she’s real and she doesn’t care if her makeup is just right or she’s dressed just perfect. She’s real.’ So we continued watching and then I crack up laughing at 10:43 and go ‘Yep, that’s about as real as you can get!’ Thanks so much for being yourself and showing us that you are just like the rest of us! Enjoying our morning coffee with our bedhead hair and living life!! Oh, and good job on the new fire pit! Looks fabulous girl!! ❤
I am watching your video with my rescued ginger girl cat on our 1 year gotcha day anniversary, and she is intently watching too. She pawed at the screen when Charlie came on!
New sub here. I'm a 70yo widow living simply in a 12 acre forest in rural northeast Washington state. I didn't realize my one mum plant in the sunroom was Winter hardy (zone 5). I'll transplant it outside and hope for the best. I love the idea of your mini trampoline too. Enjoy this most beautiful Autumn season.
Kate, the shot of you carrying out free plants from Home Depot...PRICELESS! Thank you for the creativity, joy and wonder you bring to all of us through your video's. We are in some pretty crazy times right now. Taking a few moments to pause and reflect with you is very healing. Peace and love to you nature sister, all days, all ways!
I would love to know where you found your delicious pumpkin donut recipe that doesn't call for 11/2 cups of granulated sugar. By the way your donuts look scrumptious
Thanks for such an enjoyable few minutes in this sweet little corner of RUclips. Charlie going from the car into his bag has me smiling every time!! TFS.
My dream is to live in a place like you are, I have no idea where to look. Love your content, I wish we were neighbors, we could share boho dresses lol ❤
Wow!! That sprayer you got is like a fire hose! You are out there in your yard barefoot, so it must be working! What a score on the mums. I am totally going to try the herb trays, great Idea 💡 well, you look like you got your groove on
Every time I watch one of your videos, I learn something new! I have never seen a donut pan before....seriously...and I just turned 67 years old. My mother used to make Timble Cakes (probably not spelling that right) with these little differently shaped metal forms she dipped in batter and then into hot oil and then dusted with powdered sugar. They were like eating air, but we kids loved them! I want an herb garden, but I don't have anywhere to plant one where I live. I guess I'll have to try to grow them inside. I bet you have some remarkably beautiful hiking trails where you live! Get out and enjoy them with your darling little Charlie!!! And enjoy those donuts!
Love the life you created - I’ve always wanted to live small and be eclectic - like your style. I admire the decorating in your tiny cottage. Hudson valley is beautiful and close to where i live. I live in the Berkshires and our weather is similar. Part of my spirit wants to experience a life similar to what you created. Seeing the beauty of your life inspires me to create one of beauty also. Enjoy the journey with love ❤
You have a beautiful home and garden. Charlie is absolutely adorable. Thank you for sharing of what to do with herbs. Definitely going to do the same. My daughter and myself enjoy Sunday evenings where we can catch up with you.. have a blessed week ahead. ❤
I'm glad you were finally able to enjoy your garden. I hope you use the cold months to cut back the woods pressed up against your place to give you a buffer zone from the ticks. It made a dramatic difference in the number of ticks, chiggers, and mosquitos at my place.
You are just too cute on your trampoline!!! 😁😁😁 And Charlie is totally adorable (as always)!!! 😁😁😁 You definitely happened to be in the right place, at the right time, to get those beautiful, free mums! 😁👏🏻😆🙌
Hi Kate, So happy to find your video, waiting for me. I love following your story. You are a breath of fresh air. Your firepit turned out really nice and to think, all you needed was some arm muscle, a bag of white rocks and, a new spot. Just rearranging, anything, renews your interest. I think the Mums are doing great. Just think, all you had to do is ask and, hopefully the critters will leave the fruits of your labour and, find somewhere else to dine! I think Charlie and you have a wonderful connection. You rely on one another. No outside distractions so, all the attention is focused on the two of you. You may remember, my teacup chi, Rudy...he loves going out, anywhere. He comes alive, like Charlie, the minute I adk him if he wants to go out. He's still skitish and, won't accept anything from my hand. Not giving up Kate. I want a relationship with him like you and, your Charlie. Icecubes filled with herbs are amazing, when you have a lot of herbs. Congrats for staying away from refined sugar. Wish I had the desire to give that and a lot of other stuff up! We are having Thanksgiving, in Canada, this weekend. I am thankful, I found your videos. A slice of a normal, happy life. Take care. Lookng forward to your next video. Bye, from Canada❤🇨🇦
I so look forward to watching your videos! Your voice, the background music and CHARLIE make for an entertaining experience. Glad to see the flower pic fits on the side wall in the bathroom. 😃
What a terrific video! Thanks to you I learned how to effortlessly prep cubes of herbs in olive oil. Thank you so much for your wonderful videos and that adorable little Charlie. ❤
The only thing I hate about your videos is when it ends! 🥰 I wish they were longer.. anyhoo, getting cooler here too in NC, leaves are starting to change , nothing like in the mountains though. I’m happy to see you outside , I know what a horrible tick problem you had😕 I hope you’re all better. Those mums perked up nicely with your good care. Sending big hugs to both you and Charlie ❤️.
That is a good idea with the herbs. I am going to try it myself. Thanks for sharing. The fire pit looks good like that. Great project. Continue having fun..................blessings............MINDY
Hi Kate and Charlie, I was thinking maybe you could freeze Charlie some little Pumpkin Cubes, especially as the weather is warm! We are enjoying a beautiful Indian Summer here in the Uk. Hopefully the Winter will seem a little shorter! XxX
Thank you my lovely, as always such a lovely video, and we all love your Charlie, he is such a sweetie. I too have a little trampette, just like yours, that I have had stored for about 17 years and never used! Just need to be able to get into the store room to get it out and enjoy it. xxx
You have made such a difference in that garden and cottage since you have been there. I am amazed at how you have improved that place. The garden was kind of a mess when you first got there but you have done a wonderful job! Thank you for sharing with us. God Bless!
Kate - I’m a nearly 60 yr old mom of two that really finds joy in your videos! I hope you know your outlook on life is contagious & you remind us to stop and find the beauty around us. Thank you ❤
Hi Kate & Charlie. I was so thankful you guys are safe. I watched all the flooding in New York on the news and I thought about the Hudson Valley and possibly flooding from all the rain and rain off. I asked God to please protect my sweet Kate & Charlie from all the rising water. So... It did my heart good when I saw your video pop up! That is such a great idea to freeze some of your herbs. Your mum's look so pretty along with the fall foliage where you live. I love fall especially this year because of the record heat we got in Texas this summer. It's really a welcome sight to get some much needed rain and start to see the leaves turn and fall off the trees. Monet and I got a new neighbor behind our house. It's not what you think. It's a donkey! I don't know how old he is but his baying sounds old like he's been saying hello to everyone too much. You know donkey's sound so comical anyway. I live in town but there is property around me that has a grandfather law that allows horses and different farm critters so it's kind of fun. One of my neighbors has wild ducks. He has a duck crossing sign in front of his house. Sometimes they use the street as their landing path. It's fun to watch. Well, that's what's been going on in my little part of the world. I hope you and Charlie have a great week. This week Monet goes to the groomer to get clipped and beautified. Since she is a Shihtzu, I generally have her face clipped like a teddy bear. She looks so cute and Momma's gotta do something with her mop,! Lol! Take care and give Charlie a belly rub from me and Monet!🌻🍂🍁🎃
I just love your posts! You've got great ideas about your garden - mowing is easier. Love the mums and hopefully they give you much joy next year as well! May you and Charlie have a great week! Hugs to you both!
There is something about putting food by for winter that not only provides resilience but also satisfaction and comfort. I am canning tomatoes this weekend. We haven’t had a frost yet, it’s late this year, so I am still harvesting tomatoes and zucchini…so much zucchini 🙄.
Such a peaceful video. I look forward to your videos. The fire pit area is great. Simple is sometimes much prettier. Congrats on what you have done in the cottage and yard.
Goodmorning, as I am drinking my cup of Cafe Vienna thoroughly enjoying your newest video. You are such a joy to watch how your day is going and sharing it with all of us. Have a blessed day. Sending Love and Light from Sacramento, California ❤
Its so wonderful to see the beautiful colours of the autumn in your local forest. We have had such bizarre weather here in Shropshire, England that our trees are still green with very little of the autumn colours about them. I also have a blackberry bush in flower right now which is right outside the season. Our weather is so mixed up and today after weeks of rain we have sunshine again. I really enjoy watching your vlogs and your adventures with little Charlie and I so admire how you have tackled your home and garden. You have created such a warm, cosy and lovely space. I think the idea of rescue plants is brilliant. Look forward to the next episode.
Hi. Loved the video and the doughnuts made me want to try some. I love watching your shopping trips etc. in Canada it’s Thanksgiving Weekend so I wish you a day of gratefulness and a great harvest season. Hugs
Hello Kate ☺. Herbs are special spiritual plants and don't like being tugged, twisted or pulled. Always use a sharp knife or scissors to cut them. Also have you tried making sage bundles for smudging? Great for cleansing the home etc. Put into strips and bind with string or the like. So good. Autumanl blessings 🍁🍂🍁🍂 to you both xx
Nice job on the firepit, and those donuts look delish! Imma gonna find a donut pan like that. I want to see how you handle all the leaves you must have in the yard by now. My yard is just blanketed with them and too much to deal with. And the trees still have a lot more to toss down. ugh! 🤣
It's Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada so we're enjoying all the grateful thoughts we can fit into our days. I love watching you bake without measuring or weighing. I'm such a poor baker that I'm always literally focusing on the extra few grains of sugar or teaspoon of liquid. Your doughnut baking pan is something I've never seen. I'm grateful for your videos and the lifestyle you portray. Keeping it real is a joyful place to live. xo karen
Another beautiful video! A few minutes into your videos, I find myself relaxing, breathing deeply and just really enjoying all that you share! I was trying to imagine the smell of the sage as you were chopping the herbs. I was going to ask about the mini trampoline, but you answered my question - so good for the lymphatic system! And especially with helping to heal from Lyme's. Thank you for sharing your world. Much love!
I couldn’t agree more with these comments! I have been following you from the very beginning before you actually were actually a part in them and I cannot tell you how much I have come to love them all. They touch all of my senses from the sounds and beauty of nature to the bohemian lifestyle to sweet sweet Charlie! I know Zoey and Teddy love watching Charlie as well. I suffered a fall 4 years ago and suffered a concussion and TBI so most days I like to find ways to relax and your videos are so calming Kate. You are so talented and create amazing work. You are so appreciated ❤ I hope you enjoyed the rest of your weekend!
I do enjoy your videos so much. Charlie is such a good companion for you…and such a cutie. I always seem to learn something from your videos. Today, freezing herbs and pumpkin donuts, yum…Take care. Be safe
Great idea to decrease the size of your garden and cut your work down. The firepit looks so nice. Sometimes we just have these great aha moments that can transform our lives! Have a lovely week, Kate and Charlie! It's feeling pretty wintery since yesterday up here in Ontario. Brrr. It was a quick switch-up from our wonderful summery weather. The good thing is that once it's below 4 degrees Celsius the ticks go dormant! Yay!
I really enjoyed your video. The picture that you found does look nice in your bathroom. I wish I could smell what you are doing. Rosemary is my favorite.
a little side table would be cute beside your chair where you can put your coffee cup, book, and tray... possibly make one with things you have lying around. A cute little place to enjoy your coffee in the sunshine..
This senior with a portable washer like yours loves doing laundry with you. I live by myself now and have no one to chat with while I do a little washing. So I watch your videos where you show your washing machine :)
Those sums r beautiful...... yes, getting them ( alllll most dead r wonderful.) U, get to see them come alive... how great!!!!!!!!. I didn't know about the watering.... good tip Katie. I just sooo like Charlie. ❤ blessings always to u, Kate & charlie.....❤️❤️🙏
Good morning from upstate New York 🍂🍁🍂🍁. So glad we finally have the cool fall days instead of that heat we’ve had. I dried my herbs too, froze some and planting my garlic today. Time to cozy up, candles, blankets, good books, projects it was too hot for and enjoy the gorgeous fall season. Great video, love it❤
The donuts looked so yummy! Another suggestion I have for freezing herbs is to chop them up, spread them out on a cookie sheet and pop it in the freezer. When the herbs are frozen, transfer them to a freezer bag. This works great if you want herbs for a garnish, marinade or salad.
Such serenity as your videos is hard to come by. I love how your chrysanthemums are going. I dont know how to care for plants in your climate as far as snow goes, but what a joy having them. Your he4bs are lush. They can also be frozen without water or oil. I just cut sprigs and put them ina ziploc bag, pressing the air out. I love to pull a few stalks of thyme out to add to the water i cook my brown rice in, the leaves fall off stalks and i pull stalks out when cooked, sprinkle some chopped almonds and dig in. ❤
Your property is so so quaint & cozy. Love your fire pit. The mums you got for free how nice. Thank you for sharing the herb ice cube idea this will be so convenient when cooking. The pumpkin doughnuts look delicious. Always a joy to see Charlie.
whatever you buy c at home depot or lowe’s, seek discounts. I’ve bought a bundle of broken/taped bags at various b discount prices. when I needed short press off wood c they discounted because it c was twisted c at the other end.
Your baked donuts looked yummo! Today is the first chilly day in SE VA & so we went to Williamsburg & putzed through the Christmas Mouse. It took time finding a few charms among all the Chinese chaff. Things have really changed over the years. ☹️
Just want to tell you again how much I enjoy your videos. Your home, your Charlie, your personality are all such a joy. Your videos are a little treat for my senses. Thank you for sharing your life.
I just love Charlie. I smile every time I see him. You are lovely.
The shot at 10:51 of the leaves against the blue sky needs to be turned into a fabric print.
I'm in love with Charlie....and your little washing machine!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Usually I watch your videos on my phone, as I started this one my husband asked ‘who’s this?’. I said ‘It’s a gal I watch that I like! I like her because she’s real and she doesn’t care if her makeup is just right or she’s dressed just perfect. Thank you for the tip on the mums. I knew about dead heading too, but, like you, I didn't know about watering from the roots.
I Love the way you take Charlie on outings. Your discipline on not eating sugar. And I would love to try the pumpkin donuts! 🎉😂❤
Thank you Kate and Charlie. I don't know why, but I'm always so much calmer after watching one of your videos.
Kate, the shot of you carrying out free plants from Home Depot...PRICELESS! Thank you for the creativity, joy and wonder you bring to all of us through your video's. HAPPY SUNDAY to you and Charlie. HI Charlie Sweetheart. Way to get it done. Your Mums look beautiful. Enjoy your day. STTB
Your firepit area turned out really nice. I have never made pumpkin donuts, yours looked really good.
Thanks for such an enjoyable few minutes in this sweet little corner of RUclips. Charlie going from the car into his bag has me smiling every time!! TFS.

Just to say hello, been watching you frrom the start, love your life, and your sweet little Charlie. Regards from UK 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Wow!! That sprayer you got is like a fire hose! You are out there in your yard barefoot, so it must be working! What a score on the mums. I am totally going to try the herb trays, great Idea 💡 well, you look like you got your groove on
Pushed button before I could tell you thanks for the video and have an awsome weekend!
While you were processing the sage, I could smell it! I realize this video is after the fact, but I really could smell it! 😊❤

I'm glad you were finally able to enjoy your garden. I hope you use the cold months to cut back the woods pressed up against your place to give you a buffer zone from the ticks. It made a dramatic difference in the number of ticks, chiggers, and mosquitos at my place.
Good advice, does make a difference fighting back the growth. I used dead leaves to smother as well.
Once again, you made my day ❤ thank you. Love to see your video 😊
You are just too cute on your trampoline!!! 😁😁😁
And Charlie is totally adorable (as always)!!! 😁😁😁
You definitely happened to be in the right place, at the right time, to get those beautiful, free mums!
😁👏🏻😆🙌
Hi Kate,
So happy to find your video, waiting for me.

I hang my pans, lids, and kitchen tools on the wall.
Good morning and Happy Sunny Sunday ❤
That is a good idea with the herbs. I am going to try it myself. Thanks for sharing. The fire pit looks good like that. Great project. Continue having fun..................blessings............MINDY
I just so love watching your way of living. You always inspire me to get out into my garden & create!
Hi Kate and Charlie, I was thinking maybe you could freeze Charlie some little Pumpkin Cubes, especially as the weather is warm! We are enjoying a beautiful Indian Summer here in the Uk. Hopefully the Winter will seem a little shorter! XxX
Cool idea 💡
Thank you my lovely, as always such a lovely video, and we all love your Charlie, he is such a sweetie. I too have a little trampette, just like yours, that I have had stored for about 17 years and never used! Just need to be able to get into the store room to get it out and enjoy it. xxx

Just a thought.. instead of grass, maybe get a wildflower mix and make a Wildflower Garden? You wouldn’t even have to mow it then 🤷🏼♀️
Your firepit is adorable. Great video, so many cute ideas, love to Charlie. ❤❤❤❤
Love your videos! SO Refreshing and rejuvenating!! I just sooooooo sure your cabin!! Pure happiness!

Such a beautiful video! Thank you for the peaceful start to my morning!
Just think how warm and lovely your winter will be in this well put together little home! So glad you won’t have to move during this winter.
I totally look up to you. The way you take care of your life and Charlie is admirable. Keep making videos...they are awesome. ❤😁

What a great idea! Will try with rosemary since I have an abundance. Thanks!
The last lady said it all. Your videos are a treat for my senses from Australia. Thank you.
Look at you getting your bounce on. Your lymph system thanks you. 🎉. Everything looks beautiful! Charlie is so sweet❤
10:50 😍
This senior with a portable washer like yours loves doing laundry with you. I live by myself now and have no one to chat with while I do a little washing. So I watch your videos where you show your washing machine :)
Boho❤❤❤
