I am 80 and watching your videos bring me so much joy and hope. I just sold my house and moved to an apartment because "everyone" told me I was too old to stay in that big house with the huge yard was too much for me. I moved to an apartment and I so regret it. I miss my house and yard so much. Where I live you can't really make it your home or haven because of all the rules. I guess I can live my outside life through your wonderful videos. I'm so glad I found your channel. You truly bring peace to my sometimes rattled world. I enjoy your videos so much. I've had some very hard times this year. One of our kitties had to spend a night in the hospital last week and it was horrible. She had some kind of infection and although she's still on medication, she is on the mend, thank God. I'm still exhausted. Life is very difficult sometimes but when I see a new video from you, it truly feels like I've gotten a call from a dear friend. Thank you for sharing your sweet life with us. You are just a sweetheart. I am another one who has survived a hard year. I am taking care of my son's dog and it has forced me to spend more time out in nature as I take her on long walks. I see God and His creation and it just sets me free, for a while. Even when I return home, the peace of nature goes with me. It is the best mental medicine. Keep showing us how we can just keep on, step by step. I pray that all of us will have a new year of peace and love. Lol, that sounds kind of like my old hippy days, peace and love.
I love your channel and it has gotten me through some very difficult times, especially the last 6 months. Of all the videos, the birds were the most amazing. I can't even express in words the beauty of the sight of all of them in flight, dancing to music we could not hear, but we were witnesses too. Thank you for an amazing year.
So beautiful Kate. I'm battling Covid right now. Dr actually gave me RX, it's nasty. I'm so bummed out. I take pride in being healthy and for many years not having as much as a cold. This crud is trying to take me out. I've been on the pitty pot lately. I had a special one day conference that is on Saturday and theme was Eagerly Waiting. I've been looking forward to it for months and now I can't go. I really resonated with this video. If you take 1 tablespoon of black cumin oil a day it will keep the ticks away. You can also give it to your dog. In addition to essential fatty acids, black cumin oil also contains many essential oils. These seem to have a repellent effect on the annoying parasites. I too, am a nester. I love being surrounded by my things, by beautiful things. Whether I rent or own, I always make my nest as comfy as possible. When I was going thru a very dark time, I found it difficult to find beauty in anything but my daughter and grandchildren. They were what I used, in my mind, to keep going. I had a chihuahua too and she was a godsend.

Oh one more thing! I went outside yesterday about an hour before sunset. Thousands, and I mean THOUSANDS, of geese - mostly snow geese flew over. Going east to west to look for fallow fields and the large local lake and one of the 'old rivers' - the Arkansas. I laughed out loud! Such joy!!!

Yes, you should love your place. This is Your Sanctuary and, you get to decorate it with whatever gives you joy. Regardless of owning or renting, you need to do Your Thing. I am a huge fan, now that I have discovered your channel, because I love your style, I love your positive outlook, despite challenges. How fortunate you are to have discovered a way to ground yourself at such a young age. The days are what you make of it. Sorry, for sending all our wildfire smoke, your way. It was dreadful, living right in the intensity of it. I have kept photos of my favourite spots in all the seasons. I love looking at them. It gives me hope. Ticks are nasty to deal with. Everybody's life is a mess. I'm 68 amd my life has always a mess. I am just coming out of 7 yrs of sickness. I am picking up pieces of a mess. It's not easy after all that but God was with me the whole time. Now I look for peace joy and love which is hard to find❤😊
You are so brave to live alone in your beautiful little cottage. I have never been brave enough to do something like that. I know your life isn't perfect, no one's is. If life starts getting to you, do what you have been, get out into nature and while you are there, think about all you have accomplished on your own. Do people who rent really not decorate and make it their own? I’ve done both, rented and owned; and even shared. To me it’s imperative to surround myself with things that make me happy and content as best I can….no matter what space I occupy. Hope 2024 is a better year for you.
Of course you need to decorate! I went so far that I took a large plastic tumbler with me on my first trip to Paris. It was to be a vase. I found a little flower shop with a lovely display out front. I chose red tulips - a red I'd not seen before. When I came down with the flu a few days later, I can't tell you how much they lifted my heart! That and the small Chinese restaurant next to the hotel - but that's another story. You've been one of the most precious lights for me. This year was positively awful and yet held so many glimmers. I'm so glad I found your channel. You truly bring peace to my sometimes rattled world. I enjoy your videos so much. I've had some very hard times this year. One of our kitties had to spend a night in the hospital last week and it was horrible. She had some kind of infection and although she's still on medication, she is on the mend, thank God. I'm still exhausted. Life is very difficult sometimes but when I see a new video from you, it truly feels like I've gotten a call from a dear friend. Thank you for sharing your sweet life with us. You are just a sweetheart. I am another one who has survived a hard year. I am taking care of my son's dog and it has forced me to spend more time out in nature as I take her on long walks. I see God and His creation and it just sets me free, for a while. Even when I return home, the peace of nature goes with me. It is the best mental medicine. Keep showing us how we can just keep on, step by step. I pray that all of us will have a new year of peace and love. Lol, that sounds kind of like my old hippy days, peace and love.
I love your channel and it has gotten me through some very difficult times, especially the last 6 months. Of all the videos, the birds were the most amazing. I can't even express in words the beauty of the sight of all of them in flight, dancing to music we could not hear, but we were witnesses too. Thank you for an amazing year.

This crud is trying to take me out. I've been on the pitty pot lately. I had a special one day conference that is on Saturday and theme was Eagerly Waiting. I've been looking forward to it for months and now I can't go. I really resonated with this video. If you take 1 tablespoon of black cumin oil a day it will keep the ticks away. You can also give it to your dog.
In addition to essential fatty acids, black cumin oil also contains many essential oils. These seem to have a repellent effect on the annoying parasites. As several studies have already shown, black cumin oil can actually help against ticks and at least reduce the risk of infestation

I too, am a nester. I love being surrounded by my things, by beautiful things. Whether I rent or own, I always make my nest as comfy as possible.
When I was going thru a very dark time, I found it difficult to find beauty in anything but my daughter and grandchildren. They were what I used, in my mind, to keep going. I had a chihuahua too and she was a godsend.

Oh one more thing! I went outside yesterday about an hour before sunset. Thousands, and I mean THOUSANDS, of geese - mostly snow geese flew over. Going east to west to look for fallow fields and the large local lake and one of the 'old rivers' - the Arkansas. I laughed out loud! Such joy!!!

Everybody's life is a mess. I'm 68 amd my life has always a mess. I am just coming out of 7 yrs of sickness. I am picking up pieces of a mess. It's not easy after all that but God was with me the whole time. Now I look for peace joy and love which is hard to find❤😊
You are so brave to live alone in your beautiful little cottage. I have never been brave enough to do something like that. I know your life isn't perfect, no one's is. If life starts getting to you, do what you have been, get out into nature and while you are there, think about all you have accomplished on your own. Do people who rent really not decorate and make it their own? I’ve done both, rented and owned; and even shared. To me it’s imperative to surround myself with things that make me happy and content as best I can….no matter what space I occupy. Hope 2024 is a better year for you.
A lot of people rent their entire life, you make home wherever you are even if renting!
Of course you need to decorate! I went so far that I took a large plastic tumbler with me on my first trip to Paris. It was to be a vase. I found a little flower shop with a lovely display out front. I chose red tulips - a red I'd not seen before. When I came down with the flu a few days later, I can't tell you how much they lifted my heart! That and the small Chinese restaurant next to the hotel - but that's another story.
You've been one of the most precious lights for me. This year was positively awful and yet held so many glimmers. Thank you and Charley!
