    Thanks for sharing this idea from the forum. I have no doubt you made it easier for me to grasp the concept than if I read it.

    Wow! Learned something new. That is why I watch the skill builders.

    I didn't knew that way to rotate. Usually, I created an hidden axis for my circular object in order to be able to rotate it from center. This new skil that you showed to us is way faster to use. Thank you ! :D

    FANTASTIC THKS I am trying to spin two objects at the same time each one around his own axis like two clocks from different time zones but with one command any ideas ?

    So you don’t do Maths in SketchUp if you can get away with it! Probably explains why you can’t tell the time; 6:30? 😂 Seriously, another simple idea explained well, thanks.

    But you still had to do the geometry to set this up with the hidden geometry. How is that easier than just drawing two lines and using the rotate tool?

      The big time saving is seen if you are going to move this geometry more than once!

    WHY NOT ADD NEW FEATURE WHERE YOU SET THE ROTATE POINT WITH THE MOVE TOOL BEFORE ROTATING? LIKE MOSTLY EVERY OTHER SOFTWARE PROGRAM.

    • @SketchUp
      @SketchUp  2 года назад

      That can be done, as well. The rotate handles are quick rotation tools that spin a selected object around its geometric center. This is a way to quickly blend the best of both procedures.

      @@SketchUp Yea, But you have to spend time setting up the Group to be symetrical

      @@kimberbearly7909 and you would do that, if rotating that object in the same way was something you wanted to do often. I Use the same hidden line trick for my doors, so that flip in red/green direction covers all adjustments in positioning the door. (in-out, right-left), without moving the door afterwards. Setting up keyboard shortcut for flip red/green, you can adjust your door literally several times in a second.. :-)
