Thanks for all the great tips. I just had trouble with this while pulling a logo. This technique would have saved a lot of clean up time. I appreciate your shared skills and time savers

As always, I learned something I didn't know before. Welded endpoints that are still endpoints...but different. Who knew?
    Thanks, Aaron!

Straight lines can be welded into an edge (not a curve.!) by using the CleanUp option "Repair Edges"

Adding weld to the native tools is the best quality of life update Sketchup has ever received apart from the "butter side up" setting for faces.

Thanks a lot. Even if know how to do something, there’s always something new or you are just reminded of an old trick you forgot. In my case turn off and on smooth to solve existing issues in a model.

Creating a building site with accurate grade. It seems with Add Location and Toggle Terrain on, we could auto generate grade lines and turn off the "photo" from Add Location. Then it would be easy to design hillside foundations that step with the grade. It would be nice to see a single video demonstrating creating a site with grade and then adding a foundation with the sandbox tools. Ron

Gracias. I'm not a patreon member. But I have a suggestion of some videos that you might create. It's something that I've been looking for on RUclips and find once in awhile a decent one. Please let me know if you accept suggestions from your basic subscribers. And thank you for your videos. I certainly do enjoy them and always learn from them.

    Hello Aaron,
is there any performance consideration regarding extruding/smoothing vs welding/extruding, or the final result will be the same for Sketchup?
    Thanks
