- This metal outdoor bbq trellis was designed by Built by Newkirk, it was nice that he was able to provide me a 3d design and we'll laid out plans. The plans made it easy for me to build and having the 3d image gave me a great idea of how this thing was supposed to look.

Thank you, Barry
Mr Jim you're a gentleman and a scholar. Welding and fabricating, now that's another
subject. You are what I would call a builder of masterpieces. Your shop and equipment are second to none . That table and clamps are aamazig. Kudos to your contribution to the people and surrounding businesses.Good Stuff!!
Quality.
Nice weld job.
Good morning Jim Its amazing how one pair of hands can accomplice so much, It just goes to show how having the right tools and a property set up shop can make all the difference , Nice job . Thanks for sharing your time with us ..Pete M
Thanks for watching Pete M, Jimbo!
Truly professional.
Out of ALL the welders I see here on RUclips I've got to say Jimbo, your welds are ABSOLUTELY incredible brother!!! PERFECT!!! I know that comes with years of experience but you are a skilled craftsman my friend, GREAT JOB!! 👍👍 Jay.
Thanks for watching Jay, Jimbo!
Ahhhhh the joys of working in that Southern California sunshine! Jimbo it is -9 degree. C here today with 80 -100 KPH winds and heavy snowfall. All the roads in our county and the surrounding area are closed and we were without power from 11 pm last night till 11 am this morning! Care to trade places for a bit? Lol nice build by the way as usual!
I love a good complete time lapse. What a great job.
Nice ,well done, that's professional job!
Wow jumbo, you're incredible.
Hey Jimbo, like the idea of creating a draft through the workshop to extract the fumes - little things like this can have postive effect on our health. Professional as always.
Amazing work, how much is something like this cost i would like to get it installed in my backyard. thank you, Jim.
You're shop and equipment is awesome.
Hello Sir, surfing in RUclips I stumbled into your videos, I had leave in the wonderful California USA 🇺🇸 for many years, I still hold my Contractors License, I had done welding work for many years and I must say that I TRULY LOVE your professionalism, your videos are very instructional and motivating, I truly LOVE your working table, I would love to have one like that!! Your shop is absolutely beautiful!!! Big kudos to you Sir. A huge hello all the way Form Argentina 🇦🇷 South America!!
Wow beautiful work
I don't know how you did it, but I drew up this project in my CAD program. Based on dimension(s) shown, I either had to go with 17 row's of Lattice, or shorten the free space(s) at each end 0.375" in., and go with 18 row's of Lattice. Great looking project. Thanks for sharing.
What an awesome build
I love that weld cart set up.
You make it easy for us to understand the whole project, that table area that you've got is a major help great footage....
just a fantastic build jimbo looks stunning in place.....all the best ................dougie
Thanks dougie, Jimbo!
Sir really you’re professional really the most beautiful welding I have seen
Such a clean and organized workshop. A sight to behold.!!
I wrap my pencils in neon pink tape. Otherwise I misplace them. I do the same to my most used bits, tape measure and remote controls in the workshop. Spray paint also works well.
Also helps stop them growing legs. I had some neon pink loadbinders/tie-down straps at one point because they were the only ones that didn't get 'borrowed' - some guys aren't as secure in their masculinity, I guess :-D
@@gordowg1wg145 Same! I used to get the bright neon pink extension cords for my guys. You could leave those out on a job site for weeks! LOL
Great work sir. U did it alone without helper. Salute
Well done Jim those where some big beams as supports .
Thanks Billy, Jimbo!
Awesome work
i love your work ever think of making a a frame with a winch so you can roll it over your table and hoist it up im sure you have thought of that but i always come back to your channel because you sir are talented and seem to enjoy teaching
Absolutely love the design, I need this fashioned into a carport please!
How much SF is your garage? Did you have to knock down walls to get the space you have?
Well done. 👌👌👌 Best wishes from a german metal worker and welder.
Great Job, I can't even begin to imagine the cost of this project, wow.
His approach technique and quality are second to none
good job.. Your tool is prefect.. You have long experience
great video love the welding table
Well that section size dictates that aint gonna fall down any time soon . Very enjoyable to watch love the little end magnets great idea ..really do like the split between the commentary as you do and after during the time lapse , some vids ive seen comment as they go regardless of background noise and it just dont work as yours does ..great video as always thanks
That welding is art!
Nice job Jimbo
Wonderful job
Отличный вариант навеса, современно и гармонично. Браво.
Fabulous job.
Excellent job!
I've seen a dozen of these videos and those Strong Hand Corner Magnets get a shout-out every time.
It's All about the Fab table , Makes it so much easier.
Great job jimbo
Awesome welds brother !
Turned out great. Nice job.
Thanks Richard, Jimbo!
Looks good 🇺🇸
Your furniture so good.I like that from Bangladesh
Excelente como siempre. Saludos desde Argentina!
Good job
I see a nice fume extractor in your future jimbo! Love the design and build but over here I’d need a full roof on that. Great build.
I like this one..very good and inspiring
Its'just a marvelous job! Good, sir
You sir are a true Craftsman! Very nice work and shop....
Nice job 👍
Mr jimbo can I ask the footing u put of cement to hold the structures how deep and wide. Thank u sir
It's a tough job, but you're making it really easy.Great.👍👍👍
Awesome work sir!
Nice work Jimbo
awesome jim, really nice work there. I have done the same thing with having all my surfaces at the same height, I find its an absolute must for a garage based workshop and limited space. Surfaces and space have to be multi functional.
Thanks for watching Peter, Jimbo!
beautiful design Can you share with us the 3D design looking for dimensions please
This guy loves the downhand welding
Great build. How much did the materials cost? Just roughly?
Thanks for watching, About 2k Jimbo!
@@JimbosGarage How much did you charge for the project? Do you have a video on how you bid/charge for jobs?
That is beautiful 😍
very nice.how do you protect it from rust?
Beautiful workshop. We could eat off the floor. Great video.
Looks great as always.
Thanks Ken, Jimbo!
That’s a great looking barbecue trellis. Should provide enough shade for the barbecue chef in the California sun.
Sadly it won't. If you look at where the sun and shade are during the timelapse, you'll see that it won't provide much shade over the BBQ!
I really like this set up that you did. Is there a way to get the plans for it
Excellent!
What purpose does the trellis serve? Is it just to provide shade?
Nicely done, good to see you are getting ventilation from smoke
Nice work, I have a question on your weld cap as you mentioned. You used dual shield flux core (3:55), is that with a gas or no gas? Man those welds are clean and great looking! Also what grinder disk were you using? Thanks and again outstanding work.
Dual shield by definition uses gas. 2 (dual) sources of shielding - the gas from the bottle, and the flux in the wire.
Amazing work! You are an inspiration! Thank you for sharing your work/art. This is art, right?
Very nice work Jimbo, do you have any neighbors that ever complain about making too much noise?
Wondering if you’ve ever messed up that watch? Really no splatter on it at all?
Another awesome project...
Thanks for watching Bob, Jimbo!
Nice job jimbo
Hi Jimbo! How mutch is a work like this in USA?
Thanks and congrats! Your works are soooo perfect!
SALUDOS JIMBO ERES UN GENIO BUENO UN DOCTORADO EN LA SOLDADURA, TE ADMIRO SALUDOS MUY PADRE PROYECTO ERES GRANDE JIMBO
Why is a second pass required with a dual shield flux core? what type do you use?
Great project!
So I guess that song about never raining in Southern California isn’t that true. ;-). Great build - enjoyed watching. Cheers
It pours, it just pours, I believe.
I see your videos for a long time your work is fantastic and a school for those who like !!! Too bad I don't live in the United States because I would like to learn from you ...
Grasias maestro.
Excelente trabajo
Was there something done to keep rain water out of the open, narrow angle joint that faces up? I can't tell that it was welded. Really like your table set-up in the shop.
Thanks for watching, Yes i stick welded that tight joint. Jimbo!
You make it look so easy JG! Love this channel
Nice work...
Great video and commentary!
Super nice must
Thanks for sharing 👍🏼
that welding is magnificent!
Why did you use flux core weld as well?
сварочного и вспомогательного оборудования больше, чем у всех наших ютуб-сварщиков.
Wow, this is amazing. I want to start welding. How does someone with no experience get started with welding. I'd love gym equipment and a metal pergola as well.
Looks great. did you pour the slab and build the barbeque island as well ?
Thanks for watching, Yes i did! Jimbo!
Awesome build! What’s the reason your using flux core instead of mig?
From one Jimbo to another, Your welds are a sight to behold mate👍🇦🇺
Great job
