As a low-skill fabricator, I really appreciate hearing Jimbo say, "I forgot about the lock box" or "If I did it again, I do that differently." The humility along with the skill makes these videos that much more enjoyable and relatable. Keep up the great work.
I love how you're always just improvising and winging it, your Outlook of "this is just one way to do it" is what makes you so good at what you're doing! Thanks for the efforts to share all your work with us!
Your the best I have not welded since retiring.Pipe fitter on Naval ships 30 yrs. Also retired Navy.I need to fabricate a fence for the front of my home. You inspired me. THANKS.
one stunning looking door jimbo, your gonny chuckle at this one but its absolutely true, certain drinking/dancing establishments in Glasgow ,Scotland ,had theses doors,doorman/bouncer would open up the small door ,see if you were sober and well dressed enough to be allowed access lol, brought back some memories there jimbo.......................all the best..............................dougie
I was about to say that it must be awesome to live life doing what you’re awesome at! Then you said “I do have a regular job...” Blew my fantasies away. Lol! Fabulous job!!
I love that as a master craftsman, you recognized the ratio of the first window and went out of your way to make it the way you thought would look better! You could've very easily just went with the first option and 99% of people wouldn't have known any different. But you went above and beyond despite that. True sign of quality work!
Half hour with ad and not boring content . Blessings from Honduras. Thanks for your time to show us your work . And advise how to make a greater Job at home.
About that "viewing window". There's a saying in the landscape industry (and probably elsewhere). "The smaller the space the more important the detail". You nailed it with the smaller window. The small details MAKES a good project turn into a spectacular project. Great job!
Awesome video! It is called spar urethane because it used to be used on the spar (pole that holds the sail) in old wooden ships. It has resins in it that hold up better against UV rays. Poly urethane for indoor, spar for outdoor. I am a hobbyist woodworker learning how to weld and you are a bad ass! Cheers from Los Angeles!
Hi Jimbo. I used to work for a fabrication company in England many years ago and can’t help but notice the amount of off the shelf pre fab parts you can buy in the states. You guys really have things sorted out over there as always very interesting to watch.
Ohhh myyy God!!... I'm from Panama and this is the biggest surprise that i can find in youtube its a hobby for me but you are a big master professional working with this your tools are more expensive than my house jajajajjajaja.... Excellent my boss!!! Im realized
anything medevil or game of throne ish i like to call it is always great looking stuff. i love the old heavy metal & banged up dirty wood look very rustic very nice
Greetings Jimbo's from the island of Puerto Rico, I want to tell you that I am a faithful follower of yours, I love the videos and the work that you do in your workshop.
I have been working with wood for 40 years and for me your door is priceless I hope you price it accordingly if you dont receive its everyday brilliance ...life ay I had a look at your video because I was looking at a way to colour steel , thanks for great video though....
Also for the holes the hardware you are using. We always build boxes that look like trapazoids. Have holes made exact on a drill press so when you go to install you arent fiddling with a step drill or the drill catching and spinning out of your hands. You just make small welds on top and bottom and its to go. Best of luck Jimbo. Love your channel
So jealous of your workshop amazing. Great job it came out bloody brilliant. The way you explained each step of the build was simple and easy to understand, making it more enjoyable to watch, plus all the little tips. Love ya work Jimbo cheer's

This was pretty AWESOME, Sir! Thank you for the video. I really enjoyed watching and learning from it. Also, I really like that you give us the sources for all or most of your tools and fasteners. This makes a really huge difference for there builders such as myself. Trying to source materials and certain tools can be very trying, and when you're running a business that depends upon these things.... I just cannot thank you enough!
Jim, i love wood to work with, but seeing you working on metal makes me wanna turn to metals!! Such a detail and perfection! That door looks beautiful!!!
