For people who are not familiar with Toastmasters or what speech evaluation is, it is like a feedback that you give in form of a speech after listening to a sample speaker's speech.
If you are competing in a contest, like I did, you'll have 5 mins to prepare your content and then wait for your turn to speak.
In the beginning, effective evaluation seemed elusive for me, but after years of practice and having the right mindset that:
"Evaluation is our Gift to the Speaker", I'm much more confident now.
I believe good evaluation should be effective, encouraging and personalised.
This evaluation speech clinched my first ever Toastmasters District Championship - after 7 years being a Toastmaster!
Truly, practise helps you to progress.
I encourage you to keep practising and progressing in your public speaking journey, to give a more effective and uplifting evaluation.

Happy 2022! You can change the world. The ability to speak is a powerful gift. It seems like there is always something new to learn about public speaking. Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father of Lights (ultimately). The best gift ever given to mankind is the Word that became flesh and died for us that we might have everlasting life. For ages He has been attracting people from all classes calling them to experience repentance, peace and joy. When we take a moment waiting on His love in the middle of a speech, for example, our fears are cast out and our voice produces a wonderful influence on those who hear us. I think the three commendations and recommendations is too much in the 2-3 minute (+30 sec) timeframe. It's very rushed. Sometimes less is more. Otherwise your Evaluation is excellent: the structure, the analysis, the technique and the conclusion. An Evaluation worth studying.
Hi David! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feedback, I appreciate it! Yes, I agree, having 3 Cs and 3 Rs is really challenging in terms of time management. I also practise using 2 Cs and 2 Rs and somehow I feel like the 3Cs and 3Rs format better suits my level of energy. Again, it is personal choice and I think both format can work wonderfully depending on the speaker.
