Just wonderful, I have been researching "how do you deal with public speaking?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Ganlizabetharn Glorious Gratification - (just google it ) ? It is a good one off product for discovering how to master public speaking without the headache. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my neighbour got amazing success with it.

    Evaluation time management suggestion
    - open line to grap attention
    - one highlight of the speech (1min)
    - 2 things to improve (2:30min)
    - summary (OPTIONAL!!!)

A fantastic video Jonathan, many thanks for posting. As a new Toastmaster in Worcester UK I employed your tips and techniques at my 2nd ever Evaluation at a Club Meeting last night and walked away with a ‘Best Evaluator’ Ribbon for my efforts. I searched out tips after my 1st Evaluation missing the mark through going way to thin and trying to cover way too many observations. Last night I went deep as you suggest and it worked brilliantly. An additional benefit of this was that I didn’t need notes as I had a lot less to remember. A few key points and then examples and demonstration. I was worried that I wouldn’t have enough content but it worked fantastically. I’ve now put myself down to enter a Club Evaluation contest and will let you know how I get on. I’ll be using your model again!
