This was great information, Austin. My Icebreaker speech is only 4 days away 😮. I will definitely rewatch this & take your amazing advice. Thanks so much.
Very helpful Austin, I wrote my "Ice Breaker" last week and I used the timeline method you recommended as an alternate. This video affirmed several elements of the process for me. 😀
Get that actor a neck brace! This was awesome Austin!! As a new member to Toastmasters, I've been through every one of those emotions you discussed. Your energy is everything. Loved the TedTalk, lmao. Keep doing what you're doing brother...I learned a lot in those 11 min.; this gave us fresh meat hope!! 🤓🥰👏
Helpful information. Many thanks. The background music was very loud - if it was turned down a little it would come presentation would come out more clearly.
Thanks for the powerful tools presented here. So much wisdom on how to understand our lives in such a clean and systematic process. Best of luck in all the things you do in life my brother.
Great content. Please when doing videos where there is a lot of dialogue drop the music mix so that it doesn't compete with the information that is being given!!!
Thanks so much that was really helpful!! I am about to go to my very first meeting. Your exercises will def be very helpful in formulating my story and icebreaker speech. Thanks again 😊
Yes I've been told this. That is the journey of learning RUclips. You get to make mistakes and have the whole world see it. But that's okay. That is how you learn :)
One of the first things i learned about toastmasters is that not only do you present speeches you also have to write them. This was off putting as i have never been good at writing with the exception of technical writing (Manuals, Instructions, etc...).
@@MoveInSilence23 Congratulations! I hope you got some good feedback. My club records the talks and uploads them to a private RUclips, so we can go and watch ourselves. Did you by chance get to do that?
That background music was outta control!
Its Distracting
That background music 🎶 is in the foreground.
Thanks for the heads up.
My thoughts exactly
Agree, the background music is too loud. It's quite hard to hear your speech.
Agree its hard to hear him
It was a wee bit distracting
NOBODY HAS DIED UP ON STAGE....! That gives me courage. Thanks for these wonderful tips for my first English public speech!

Really happy to hear that you used the technique! Good luck on your public speaking journey. What made you start?
I just joined a toastmasters club and am preparing my icebreaker!
Dude, this was AWESOME! Thank you so much.
Good content Austin! The music was loud, but the content was good so I had to focus more on that. Thanks for doing this.
Thanks, I know and sadly I can't change it. It's just something you learn through failure.
@@AustinIuliano No it was perfect! its no failure at all. It happens. I wrote my ice breaker using your outline and it was so good. cheers
@@gloriaagyare6472 Thats fantastic to hear! What feedback did you get? Also was this a virtual meeting or an in person meeting?
Thanks. Your video added value to me, going for the first toastmaster speech.

Love the Jackie Chan reference 😅
Glad you caught the reference, he is amazing :)
The background music was killing my ears. I just downloaded the subtitles and read through them
it is really helpfull but backround music is high more than enough. I can not focus your speech
I too wasn't able to focus on his speech due to loud background music ☹️

I read the transcript instead, the music was a dealbreaker to actually watch the video
Why don't you increase the bg music a little more so we can really enjoy this video
i cant hear the text because the music is to loud. Rule nr 1 with informational explainers: do not use any music at all
The music is louder than your voice. Cant watch it although it looks so good..
At least it looks good. :) Thanks for the feedback.
Good information but the background music is so distracting 😣😣
the background music is really loud and distracting. I wanted to listen and take notes but I had to turn it off because the music was so distracting.
I've been told this once or twice. Sadly, I can't fix it now that it is live on the internet.
After 2:09 the music gets lower
It's hard time focusing on the content because of loud music in the background
what was/is your icebreaker speech about? Leave a comment and help newbies get an idea!
Mine was called " I Am Nothing". A bit of a reversal of an Icebreaker. It was motivational, it was funny- it was more than 7 minutes.
@@MoveInSilence23 Congratulations! I hope you got some good feedback. My club records the talks and uploads them to a private RUclips, so we can go and watch ourselves. Did you by chance get to do that?
@@AustinIuliano I'll have to check. I'm still learning here. I really like Toastmasters.

Music is too loud
why the music!!!!?????
Noisy loud background music
Music made me end video
Bad background music. Why is it this loud
The music in this video is way too loud. Had to leave after 30 seconds.
I've been told that shit happens and I can't change it now. Thanks anyways.
You can mute the video and read the transcript. Or put in the CC.
The music is very distracting...completely unnecessary...
I clicked out in 1 minute because the loud background music was driving me nuts and I could barely hear you.
Background sound is so annoying.tooloud
Background music is too loud. So hard to hear. Good content otherwise.
