50 years. The next phase of commercialized AI is personal assistants.. or think a lifetime companion AI. It will know everything about you. He talks about someone writing everything down or logging their life, then having a way to ask what they would think/do. There will be a time when an AI will have all your memories and have amazing insights, and with high accuracy be able to predict what would be your actual response.

I think to be ahead of the times requires one to be controversial and counter culture.
If everything he said or done didn’t not disrupt expectations, then he would just be like everyone else.
I’m not making a judgement on what he said and did was right or wrong, but clearly he thought about a lot of things differently than most people, and you need that to change the world.

Only major contributions after 1980s were 3D Gaming in the 1990s and multiplayer incl. MMOs end of 1990s / Beginning 2000s. Maybe Battle Royal could be seen as the only contribution from the 2010s.

In 1983 he was predicting what life would be like 30-40 years, and described it perfectly. Imagine what Steve would have devised by now had he not died so young in 2011 at the tender age of 56. His last creation was the tablet in 2010. What has Apple created since? The Watch? AVP? I would argue that the Mx-series ARM processors are their best product, but those processors were the direct result of Jobs buying Palo Alto Semiconductor (a RISC house) in 2008 for a mere $278M.

Always looking for the source. I admire your enthusiasm, cos there you can drink more from the well. I was in that frame too couple of years back. Always searching for the ultimate source of enlightenment. Till i found that what i was seeking was inside me all through. Open your eyes and your senses, you would see what you are looking for is right in your soul.

Didnt take long for all the PCs to be manufactured overseas. Being the world trade currency and having open capital markets has made our currency to valuable for our manufacturing to be competitive, and forcing the US to run massive deficits buying what everyone else makes
