What did you do for the start.bat because for me it keeps saying this app cant run with your pc but I have a windows 10
That can mean something is missing from your windows install. Make sure your PC is up to date. Other then that you can look on google for suggested solutions.

How can my friends join the server? Great tutorial by the way.
To allow friends to connect to your local FiveM/FivePD server you need to portforward the following ports:
TCP: 30120
UDP: 30120
You need to also open 30110 if you want your server to show in the server list.
While we don’t have a tutorial for these ports yet we do have a portforwarding tutorial for MC. You can still follow this and just change the MC ports to the FiveM ports.

Was about to ask about the installation of custom scripts for fiveM but your channel MMmmmmmmmm im excited big subscribe from me! (Quick question though, are you able to install other non GTA mods to a fiveM server because id like to be able to add police AI scripts like in LSPDFR)
LSPDFR does not support FiveM, FivePD is the closest you will get to it. Other scripts normally are just drag and drop, we got lots of videos on those here.

Excellent Video! I have mine working and everything. Just curious, I know that FivePD doesn't have controller support yet, but my PS4 controller does work through Steam, however after a while sometimes the connection disconnects and I'm forced to use the Keyboard. So my question is, after watching you drive so well, do you use the keyboard to drive or a controller? Thanks!
Controllers are not yet supported, it's on the ToDo list for the devs. You can still use a controller to drive but you must switch to keyboard for other functions. I used just a keyboard in this video.

You don't need to buy GTA yourself to run FiveM -- if you have a friend that has it on Steam, download the game (must be signed into their account for the entire game download) and then turn on library share, from there you can download FiveM like normal and it won't stop your friend playing a game since FiveM is seperate from steam and just uses GTA's files
you will also need to use their social club, since that's linked to GTA :)

Yes Ip4 adresss. Make sure you port forward.

Do the police vehicles have to replace the cars originally in the game or can they be addons to work with cad
Addons are fine as long as they have the emergency flag in there file
for the start.bat it says this app cant run on your pc, to find a version for your pc, check with the software publisher
What step should we start at if we just want to download five pd and not have a server?
FivePD requires a server to run. You can join a FivePD server on FiveM without downloading anything.
Followed every step identically, when I open start.bat in red text it says "server.cfg does not exist J:\FiveM\server-data/server.cfg" . It's displaying a forward slash instead of a backslash. Is there a way to get past this or a fix? Did I mistype something?
Thanks, you are really good at this and I love the look of when you got in game! So far, my server actually works and functions, live traffic and all, BUT, fivePD doesn't work within the server and I think this line above is what is preventing fivepd from working in the server.

Latest version has a issue with directories and they must be in a certain order to work.
Awesome tutorial man! Everything is up and running but the only thing i dont know how to fix is that when i open the computer in car i can type but it wont open at all.. cant press enter or click on it or anything.. i notice 2 things tho! One is that the FivePd computer system icon in the middle for me is right on the password box and i notice that i have a proxy error but could that be it? like i said everything is working fine just the computer system that i cant open! Can you help me? Tx my man for the good work ;)
Check the console for errors also make sure you are a FivePD admin by putting the password from the config.json in that password box. Make sure the car name you are in and want to open the MDT from is listed in the mdt_vehicles.json.
Thanks for the awesome tutorial! So quick question so the command prompt we had to check and make sure everything was loading correctly wont work now. It worked the first time we ran the server but after that it won't load up anymore. The "start.bat" is what's not loading, and I think that is why I am not able to connect to the server. Any help?
What happens when you click the start.bat?

So I set everything up how you did in the video, tested it, and it works. However, how do I get friends to join the server and play? Do I have to do the port forwarding process, if so, is that safe? And is there a way to disable it once we're all done playing FivePD for the night? And what would the server IP be for them to join, would my IP address be exposed?
Yes port forwarding can cause security risks just due to it's allowing outside connections to your router. If you know who your playing with and trust them. (as long as you don't give out the IP) you will be fine.
You would need to give them your IP4 address. You would need to port forward these ports:
TCP: 30120.
UDP: 30120.

You can point the domain at the IP4 address and use that yes.

You can whitelist people in the server.cfg based on there IP/SteamID. Passwords may require another resource.

how does it play is it like 0.4.7 where we can be civilians and drive to work then sign on duty and choose our cars? Also how do I install vehicles with this installed I'd love to do some lore friendly vehicle patrols, or do we just start as cops...

FivePD does not have playing as a civ built in and is designed to allow everyone to be cops and use the AI as civs. If you are looking for a non-AI type roleplay there are a bunch of those resources on the FiveM forums.

It would depend on the other scripts
How do I add custom els cars? and when Im on traffic stop, howcome when I press a for the menu, nothing happens?
Use non-els cars as els won’t work without installing buggy resources. You can find fivepd commands on the forums.
Great Video, I still have a problem. When I run the FiveM Server, it shows up with, This app cannot run on your PC. I saw your other comment on someone else's comment, and I tried that, but it still didn't work.
I recommend looking it up on google to see if one of the solutions sites recommend work. It could be an antivirus or something else causing it as well

Currently you can’t whitelist the police duty for fivepd

You would need to leave your computer on 24/7 and if you don’t have one yes a static IP

Nice tutorial. Having an issue when opening the .bat file. When I double click nothing happens and nothing loads. I’ve checked on FiveM and it says no server can be found. Seems strange as I followed every step up until the .bat file wouldn’t open. Any help would be appreciated

Hi, This worked great for me, I have setup the server, port forwarded it so my friend can join.
I can use F11 fine, but my friend cannot. He presses it and nothing happens. Do I also have to port forward 3306? for the database

So i followed your instructions step by step and got it all working but when i press B to go to the computer the "FivePD Computer system" image is below the "admin" log in thing and i have to hit tab to type admin but it wont let me hit enter to log on

whenever i load my server it always says red text then says it hassent loaded the departments and when i go into the game the police aspect does not work
Did you install the database correctly? If so try going to the config.json and making username: “root” and password: “”
The server works, and actually spawns me into the game but the stations don't work or any of the departments or mods.

Hi i need help I have gotten to 11 minutes into the video but at that stage it loads up most of the desktop shortcut but then a message pops up saying "could not authenticate server license key" any ideas on how to fix this?
Make sure the license key was added to the server.cfg and you don't have firewalls up

Quick question. Around 2 min 50 second into video you said download the latest master branch. In the FivePD they said that it was important to download only the 1868 version do to crashing issues with the latest version. Has something changed? I am so confused with all of this conflicting info from the developers here. They are great at a high level of coding but not so great at convening information.
I have been using the latest branch for windows without issues, I have also seen what they have been saying about 1868 my guess is that may be related to the linux branch. You can always try the latest window branch and if it does not switch it out for 1868.
