Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Deputy Ryan Proxmire was fatally shot seconds after this video ended by a round through the windshield to his head during a pursuit of a suspect. The suspect was wanted for fleeing from police and stealing the boat he was towing.

I am sad and angry because many people accuse the police of violence. The policeman who took out his gun, if he had fired directly, would have saved a human life. I have a feeling as if the policeman is afraid of journalists and courts.

That's insane. You'd think that other police vehicles involved in the chase would notice him going silent. If no one else you'd think his dispatcher would notice him going silent. 27 minutes is.......forever. It's a long damn time.
As seen in an officer shooting where 3 cops where killed, the reason 2 of the 3 where killed was because the ignored the threat and tried to help there fellow officers, it may be immorally wrong to leave the officer, but it may save lives
@@fubodubo2178 That's not the case in this case. In this case the shooter was nowhere near the downed officer. They just failed to realize he was down. I think after shots are fired they should do a roll call of sorts.

It was 27 minutes before anyone realized the officer had been shot. Three 911 calls were ignored by dispatchers who assumed he was fine. A civilian pulled over and saw him slumped over the steering wheel and had to flag down a police car.
