Kalamazoo MI police were tasked with clearing a homeless encampment when a group of outside domestic terrorists intervened and assaulted officers with flagpoles and pepper spray.
Suspects arrested include Monica Washington-Padula who claims to be a victim in this case and that she was forced to defend herself. She has started a petition asking that charges be dropped and releases small snippets of video to try and paint herself as the victim.

Hopefully she does indeed face charges. Those protesters are totally misinformed and delusional, they had no idea why that person was being arrested. The person being arrested could’ve been a murderer or someone that has a warrant out for their arrest. Police are supposed to be professional and should be held accountable for escalating things as they tend to do.

Protests can and often do get violent because it stems from anger, frustration a feeling of injustice. The natives never claimed this land was their land; they said it belongs to everyone, and they were right until a Constitution was written and agreed upon and laws were enacted as a means for people to purchase land and then forever pay taxes to the government on it. It is a terrible idea, but at least it protects people's rights not to have a stranger just walking into their house. They call these peaceful protests, but are disturbing the peace of the nearby neighbors. I saw a lot of nearby houses but none of those people were willing to come outside to watch. They hid in their houses watching through the windows cheering that these loud "peaceful protestors" are being kicked out of there.

As someone from Kalamazoo, this is a complicated subject. The homeless shelters were full even before the pandemic and are terrible now. I don’t know who these idiots are protesting but the people at the encampment were amazing and hard working. Many of them are employed but homeless. But all the focus is on these protesters.

Seriously, come to Florida! Formal invitation from a Florida man. It's got a lot of families, blue collar workers, and retirees wanting peace. The only reason it has a bad reputation is because by law all arrests and mugshots are publicly available immediately. Not all states give the public such freedom of access to information to keep you safe. It's beautiful, inexpensive, cordial people, lots of historical Spanish sites and culture that is unique, beautiful beaches, and a very special ecosystem as one of two states with a tropical climate.
