Absolutely phenomenal game. The devs took everything that made Severed Steel work and made it faster. Also I appreciate how they just made it have barely any story because it wasn’t needed. Severed Steel tried to have a plot with cutscenes, but it was just nothing. This dev has clearly found their strengths and identity more clearly, and I’m so excited for future content updates they’re planning.
Video games can be a great medium for delivering a deep message, bringing an envisioned world to life, and getting us to vibe with fictional characters in a way that can only be done by having us play and interact directly with them… Or, on the other hand, a couple games that I enjoy may very well be music albums with a free interactive moving picture included. But sometimes, we just want video games that are great at being exactly that, so I’m glad that you’ve let us know in the perfect way that EPN’s full release is doing exactly that.
