Sitting in my classroom (Nail School) watching your tutorial... 🤔 My teacher is sitting right across from me 🙄 Shame I paid $4000 to be in school for nails and I have to learn from Naio Nails in the UK on RUclips! Anyways thank you so much for helping!!!

The purpose of school is just to help you pass the test to get your license. Kinda like driving school. Their main priority is to show you the basics and sanitation, but you will learn mostly by trial, error, and experience. I've had my license for 3 years now and I love watching these edicational video and I actually had a GREAT instructor! Good luck ladies!

I've watched a few acrylic tutorials now and all of them say "pick up a nice sized bead". This means nothing to someone trying to learn. Thank you so much for taking the time to not just explain what to do, but HOW to do it. A little bit of theory and technique go a long way.

Ok, I need to tell you this.
I just did my own nails for the second time ever.
I watched some other tutorials before i did it for the first time.
Result: 4 brushes messed up, big lumps on my nails, needed almost an hour to file them all down to something halfway decent. flooded cuticles, some already lifted the same day. Cut myself twice while filing.
Watched this yesterday. Pretty proud of my nails now. Not perfect, but pretty good for the second time. Brush still OK. No cuts, decent cuticles, filing done in minutes.
Thank you so much! Seriously, thank you!

This is the first video I watched after frantically trying to figure out how to do my own acrylics. This video didn't just show me how to do it, it showed me what I was doing wrong. Small details I kept over looking and after watching why my brush kept going crazy on me and why I was not seeing the smoother application all the videos showed me....I FINALLY GOT IT. Instantly loved this channel after watching! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH

We didn't have any kind of instruction 30 something years ago, we just had to middle our way through and the brushes were crap in all honesty. Kirsty if we had access to instructors that were like you it would have been a huge game changer for careers.
I'm 50something and I'm shocked at how much I didn't know, your a great instructor thank you.

crucial information. some nail techs don't like DIY'ers bringing down the industry with shoddy work, not knowing the health and safety, stealing trade from those who have worked hard to qualify. I love that you help educate us so at least we're doing our own properly. you're video's have been very valuable to me. I've been doing my nails for 6 month's now. After my miscarriage my beautiful pregnancy nails disappeared, causing another reminder of my grief of looseing my little girl. so I decided to do something about it. now when I look at my nails, I see achievement, pride, creativity, a sense of purpose, a outlet, a hobby, a possible profession. it's helped me recover somewhat. you have helped aid that process. THANK YOU.

First of all, so sorry about your baby. Been there, It hurts! On to the topic of nails. If you can do your own in a safe, sanitary way-go for it. Please don't do anyone else's unless trained. It's really not about how they look. It's about safety and sanitation, honestly. That being said, if you enjoy it and feel you are talented, then by all means get training and make it your profession. We need talented people in the industry. You will gain a sense of pride in your profession and meet a lot of wonderful ladies. There are student loan programs . Don't be afraid. Go for it. A career and sense of purpose can really help in regaining yourself. I am opening a nail salon in the Phoenix, AZ area. USA. If you are interested, I will hire you right out of school and train you further. If you are not in my area, I'm sure others will give you an opportunity. Best of luck to you!

I've been qualified for three years and have noticed the past few months that I've been going through brushes too fast, but I could not seem to understand why. Now I know. I've not been cleaning my brush often enough in between bead application. Also, I wasn't taught in school the proper way to pick up a bead simply because my instructor did not know the proper way to pick up a bead. She used to drive me crazy swirling the tip of her brush into the powder! She never had the proper liquid to powder ratio and she never had a proper sized bead to show us anything! I literally sat in class and watched RUclips nail videos to learn; a video like this would have made things so much easier for me back then! Thanks very much, Kirsty, you're an amazing teacher.

    • @negautrunks
      @negautrunks 5 лет назад

@@suzycrofts1428 you probably have too much monomer (liquid) in your brush, you need to drain it out by holding your brush to the top inside of your monomer container for a little bit, then picking up the bead a little bit faster (maybe), but we can't know for sure without seeing what you're doing

I like both Kirsty and Suzie. But my girl Kirsty here is a bit more spunky, so I gravitate to her channel more often. They both are excellent at what they do though.

I watch Suzie too, her voice is soothing. Everyone has their design preference, nail shape, teaching style, learning style, etc. Suzie goes on about structure but to get there liquid to powder first right. From this video I learned more because visually I seen what I was doing wrong (the bubbles in the brush too 🤦). It all makes sense now lol. So I'll give this another go and play with the beads, then learn how to do bling and glitter later💎. Her video with the crystal clear nail and bluish tint jewels caught me eye. Thx naio 💖

I truly appreciate the videos you do showing how you do what you do. I do not do nails professionally, but I do my own nails, and I am always looking for something new to do. I don't use much acrylic. But thanks to you, I want to try. I got started doing my nails because I wanted my natural nail to grow. I got gel polish & UV light and it helped to firm them up enough to grow on their own. I absolutely love my nails now, and I do new designs almost every 1-2 weeks.
I love you designs and I am no where near as talented as you, but I have been able to use some of the techniques to get the desired look I wanted.
Thank you for you time and effort and sharing what you do with all of us.

I tried to use that builder gel last night (the night before a job interview), and I was up all night trying to brush the gel onto my natural/tip nails, and tried to cure the gel in a LED/UV 46 gel lamp (thinking that would cure anything fast). Well the builder gel never did cure properly after 2 minutes and remain tacky. So I used a lint-free wipe with gel brush cleaner and applied to my nails to get the junk off them, and the darn lint-free wipe stuck to my nails, and my monomer was a clumpy cloudy mess. My fingers were all sticky feeling and the darn lint-free wipes stuck to my fingers too. What a complete disaster!!! I finally got the builder gel off by rolling it off my nails lol to wind up with extremely sticky fingers again. After finally getting the crap of my fingers again, my well filed and shaped french nails that took me all night to do that I was so proud of, I finally decided my safe bet would be to use the base gel and 'no-wipe top gel' that brought a smile to my face with a pretty fake gem on the ring fingers to top it all off. I learned my lesson the hard way LOL.

Thank you so much. I'm just learning, self-taught through youtube (only on myself you'll be relieved to hear). You have just answered every question about where I'm going wrong. They look alright in the end but it takes me about an hour and a half on average and then loads of filing. I am currently going through a new brush every application and soooooo much monomer. This will save me so much money. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you

I want to go to nail school but I hear so much about how nail schools are not teaching properly and hate the fact of paying big bucks and not being taught the right way. I have even gone to different nail spas and noticed that they always have the same problems you talk about in this video, of course, I did not know any better I thought it was normal. But I have been in so much interest to learn. I had a recent surgery and I am unable to do much these days so I came across your ideos, I have watched them and are GREAT! Thank you for that. I am hoping to learn the basics and sit around with mainly friends to get more experience (not as a profession, but just to socialize and spend time with friends. I clicked subscribed as I am eager to learn more while recuperating. You do such a great job and the explanation is so detail and thorough. Thank you so much!
