I'm a LONG time subscriber of Suzie and Jenna. I was SHOOK when Jenna gave Suzie the shout out! Can't wait for the 1 mill Suzie! Keep up the NAIL WORK!
I was an acrylic nail artist in the heyday, 1981-1994. So much fun! Made so much money, just out of high school with wads of 20's in my wallet, which was a lot of money in 1981. I was taught with paper forms, one bead starting at the cuticle, #4 (or 6) Grumbacher square tip brush, used a Foredom dentist drill since none for nails had been made yet. I remember many nail artists poo-pooed the drill back then but now I see it is quite common. Some artists used tips but we used paper forms. 14k nail charms, oh my! Only 2 colors of acrylic powder available, clear and white but our shop only used the clear since we formed the nail in one bead. What a blast I had. Went on to do hair then left the beauty biz.
Heroin Wifey she definitely didn't. She's been making these videos like this forever and this is part of her new teaching session for her kit that she is selling. It's just a coincidence that she posted this the same day. It takes way longer than a few hours to film, edit, and upload a video like this. Especially with multiple camera angles. Idk why everyone is thinking it's only because of Jenna. I'm probably one of the only ones that has seen this channel before Jenna said anything.
I was getting so discouraged and came across you video. Not only did all your shared knowledge give me encouragement to keep going, your calm and comforting voice gave me reassurance and reminded me "it's ok, try again" thank you so much! I just want to give you a big hug! Really!
oh nooo if only this had come out a week ago...JennaMarbles needed this 😂 (and yes, I've been here before Jenna's video. people who are salty about new Jenna ppl, it'll die down, relax.) Suzie, you and camera hubby are charming as always! thank you for the new video
My name is Samantha and I’m 30 years old. Because of Covid I can’t go to school to learn how to do this quite yet so I ordered myself a kit off of Amazon him and watching these. I’ve been sober now about 7 1/2 years but missed out on a lot of the things I should’ve done in my 20s. I work well with my hands so I figured being coming a nail tech may be my way out of poverty. I’m already a professional level crochet artist, and can crochet almost anything. I taught myself off of RUclips. I sell a lot of my work but because it takes so long to create pieces people want, I don’t make a lot of money. So I’m hoping doing this with my creative side will give me a good step out. I’ll be 31 at the end of the month and I haven’t built anything. Thanks for this video. You’re helping me help myself.
You are the most insiring sweet soul...just love your videos. They are so well done...simply charming and I learn so much...thanks you🥰. I have lost my nail tech and am too remote to try to find another...I want to order your kit...I used to do my own nails but that was 20 yesrs ago and the new products are so much better...you are a true artist not only in nail sculpting, but your excellent videos. Thank you for sharing your talent. You are my go to, and give kudos to cameraman. BRAVO!
I watched your videos for over a year before I even attempted to do them... I attempted them three months ago and did them like a pro the first time! Thanks for the knowledge aunt Suzie 😊
Thank you for explaining how often to dab/wipe the brush when doing acrylic application. I am attempting acrylic for the first time after a few years of using polygel, and it really helps to have literal step by step instructions!
The First Person that Truly Shows & Teaches Properly!! I Luv u Suzie!! I’m trying to learn to do My Own Nails & with you I feel I can Learn & Learn Properly!! Ty!!
I trained nails back in 2007. I worked on client for a short time but mainly myself. Now and then over the year I have had acrylic but never truly satisfied with the work. Last week I had overlay on my natural nails. This last experience was the laziest work I had ever seen, including the polish and has spurred me to start nails again. I have come to find some videos to refresh my mind and yours is great. In this one video you have touched on many of my 'things to get and do' list. I look forward to watching more. You make me want to be able to attend a class. Thank you.
@Addison Wood No,I might be incorrect on this, but every nail polish remover has a slight percentage of acetone. The one she mentions and will need for that is 100% acetone. I've found it at Walmart before.
Suzie, I've been watching your videos since the very beginning, and with your guidance i've grown to be really good with nails. I just tried acrylic for the first time, and with the help of you and Tammy Taylor's videos, my application was perfect! Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge these past couple years, it's really helped me grow as a nail artist. Thank you
I have been teaching/doing nails since 1997 and I still learned from your video today !! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and for explaining in such an easy but in-depth way.
You are such a wondeful teacher! I have never done acrylic nails but I am learning now so that I can do my own at home. I have watched a few tutorials on here that are not even near your level of teaching and explaining! You did a fantastic job! I will be watching more!
Thank you Suzie and cameraman, I have done my first set of acrylics today, just from your videos! Feel empowered! Still some practise to do, but ya gotta start somewhere eh!? Love it xxx
Your brush cleaning method is the best...I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out what I was doing wrong...and boom! I watched your video on how to keep your brush clean and I haven't had any problems since... conditioning the brush with monomer is key!
Nail Career Education Hi Suzie, I was wondering if I could just purchase the brush from you? I already have everything, but I'd like to try out that brush.
WHERE HAVE I BEEN that I've never watched a nail tutorial??? early in high school i got my nails done once and after that i started doing them on my own; i stopped in my early 20's when i became a mother. Last week i decided to do them out of the blue after running into this tutorial (it's been 7 years of natural) and omg i hadn't realized that i always made every mistake you talk about. I can't wait to watch the rest of your content. You inspired me so much that i finally created a channel just so i could add this comment. I didn't even know nail forms existed!!! i guess i will practice on the tons of tips i recently purchased. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge, you seem like a sweet woman 😊
I started watching you when I was 11 it was a dream of mine for me to start practicing nails , I remember how much I loved you videos. I’m now 16 and I’m back ! And I just started doing nails!!
Just came on here to remind everyone that even the most educated nail techs can make mistakes, so don't get down on yourself! ❤️ Keep watching and learning! Practice makes perfect 🤷
OMG Suzie, I just discovered your nail videos on youtube & they are fantastic!!! I have had acrylic nails for years and your videos have inspired me to try and do my own !! Thanks so much xxxx
I am SO thankful for this video!! I officially completed a full set of stiletto acrylics using tips and an acrylic kit which cost me soo much as I didn't want to buy the cheap products but now I have officially done it myself! as we are in lockdown in the UK no nail salons or anything are open so I thought to do it myself and thanks mainly to this video I can now do it thank you!!
Chrissy Jenkins do u have a video on how to fill gel nails? i have is down (as ir took ALOT focus anf dedication)... but i have switches to gel and want to learn to do them on my own.
I'm Someone I am right handed so I am the same but I have a tip. If you do not like how you do it last then paint the right hand first let it dry then do your left.😘
Thank you so much for this video! I have searched and searched for a video to actually EXPLAIN how to do acrylic, and you do it beautifully! I also love that you get to the point by doing only like 2 nails instead of all 10 like most nail videos. Your videos are very helpful and professional. Thank you again
I want to thank you for doing your collection of how to do acrylic nails. I just did my first pair. As a legally blind person, you made all your tutorials easy to do. I cant wait to get more acrylic products.
I usually do gel or poly gel to do nails because I felt I wasn't good at acrylic nails. I watched one of your videos where you mentioned a size 8 brush. The one I was using was bigger. I did acrylic nails with an 8 and my nails came out so much better! Thank you for the tip!
Hi I'm new to the channel and from Southern California, just had to say Suzi you could be a twin for a very dear friend of mine that I grew up with. She had the same color hair and skin tone. Thanks for your channel to help us DIY girls who are tired of the expensive salons!
Rafaella Crespo I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so. I think this was a brilliantly thought up plan to boost views for both ladies, and I'm not mad at it! I love both creators and I'm happy to know that they are (maybe) working together-ish.
I just bought your new clean acrylic kit and other accessories like your Prep and bond and acrylic brush. I am a beginner DIY home nail tech and your videos have helped me learn so much! I basically used quarantine as virtual school time to learn how to do nails on myself. Your videos are so informative and I have watched every single one. The workshop videos I have watched over and over. I have been getting better and better and pretty soon I will be able to do my own nails from start to finish at home:) Thank you for providing your knowledge. I can't believe I am getting such high quality instruction from a pro for free! I feel like I should be paying you tuition, lol 😆 Thank you again Suzie, you are the best!!!💜
in stead of getting stressed how to make a good nail. Im loving your voice.. I will be opening my salon in 2 months. Seems your video will guide me all through out. Thanks suzie.
Hey! I've been watching your videos for over a year now, and I wanna tell my story. Ok, so I was the best student in my class, but I wasn't able to keep on paying college and had to stop studying, but thanks to you I've found a new passion; nail art. I've recreated some of your art on my natural nails with regular polish and I gotta say I've improved a lot, enough for me to feel confortable to start learning how to do acrylic nails so I can actually get a job doing that. :) but the problem is... my nose bridge is crooked and that makes me prone to allergies and very sensitive to strong smells, so the first time I tried to do acrylic nails, I did them in an open and ventilated place, but it didn't help much. :( the smell was unbearable for me and about 20 minutes into doing the nails I started getting dizzy and my throat got so swollen I had to stop because I was having trouble breathing. I started feeling so discouraged that I haven't done anything with acrylic since then. :( If anyone has gone through something like this, I need some advice. Since I left college I kinda got depressed and this has been the only thing that I've felt really passionate about since then, and that makes me happy. I don't wanna give up on this. Please help. :( (sorry if I made any mistakes, my native language is spanish.) Thanks in advance!
Hey Music is a World Within Itself! (Love you name). I had a similar out come with college (I was a music major 😉 lol). I now just finished beauty school and I love doing nails and practicing my hand at acrylics. But when I got married my husband could not stand the smell. One type of nail I love doing is gel Extensions. There much like acrylics but very low odor. I would say look into that and see what you think. I hope that helps you. 😁
Music is a World Within Itself well, I'm no expert by any means, just an enthusiast 😉 but I think there's odorless monomers out there, I think even Suzy talked about them somewhere, apparently they dry a bit different or something but otherwise they're supposed to work perfectly fine, maybe try and look for those? Hope you can find a solution love! 😙
Music is a World Within Itself try wearing a mask sweetie. it saves me when i do my own acrylics. ventilate the area as well and maybe have a fan circulating (but not pointing at the powders obviously). i hope this helps
Suzie, you are a goddess! Watching this during the corona virus to learn how to do my own acrylics with a Walmart kit since salons are closed. Tried last week and they were lumpy and awful but your magic made them nice and lovely and smooth! THANK YOU!
kelly Mendes holy shit!!! lol I usually don't read youtube replies, but I just happened to see yours, and I didn't believe it... until I checked for myself. God damn, I've never had that many likes on a comment. you guys are badass 😄
So glad you make these videos :) I got really into doing acrylics myself a few years ago and today my daughter asked me if I'd do them for her, but I hadn't done them in years. Watched this video as a quick refresher and it really helped! Her nails turned out really nicely.
Selena Alvarado though people think its kinda funny since jennas video said how she watches suzie alot. the coincidence was a hilarious placement when 3 hours before this was uploaded jenna uploaded hers. its understandable to have irritation though because its clear these are made for people who pruchased the kit. i shall stress though people are.cracking jokes at a funny situation and link of time thats all
I seen Jenna's video and also thought it was funny but it's frustrating when I have a question for Suzie hoping she can answer but that's kind of impossible when people are all commenting about Jenna. All the comments are repeated over and over. I wasn't trying to offend anyone.
I'm in school right now to become a nail technician. But everything in my book thus far is about spa procedure and general science. Legitimately, in the first half of my text books, I've learned more about the vascular system than I have about nails. And while I understand that's important information to know, my clients won't be asking me about their pericardium. They will, however, expect me to be able to sculpt acrylic nails. So *thank you, thank you, thank you* for putting these videos out. School may get me my license, but these videos will allow me to actually work.
thank you so much for this video it truly helps so much. all your tips and tricks you just know what works and what does not your perfect so is your channel and your application and your teaching. much love and appreciation. thank youuuuuu bestie
Always on point. Wonderful calming voice and easy to follow along. Videos are set at a good pace for learning, and they don't drag. Susie, you make it so easy to learn! I wish I had had your videos when I was learning to do nails.
Suzie, I've been trying to do my own acrylic nails at home and I always seem to get it too wet then my brush clumps on me Now I know what I'm doing wrong which is everything, but I will practice more and more and watch this video until I can get it 100% perfect. Thank you for helping me to learn how to do it like the salons so I don't have to spend money to get them done and I can do them myself. You really are the nail whisper Thank you. I don't use the forms I use full coverage nail tips on my nails. so if I do the acrylic like you show with the forms I think I can get it just right to look natural.
I started doing my own nails after getting tired of paying to much for designs I knew I could do! The brush tip is amazing as I have already wasted about 4 good brushes...thanks so much!!
If I find my brush isnt as clean as it should be, I use a tooth brush to clean it out. Of course the brush is only used for my nail brushes, but it is awesome at getting in between the fine bristles. If my brush gets really out of control I'll use a fine toothed comb first and then finish with the tooth brush.
Suzie is the Bob Ross of nails omg
Ann Delfine she so is
TOTALLY!
Ann Delfine I was thinking that too
Lool i laught so hard 😂😂😂

You’re helping me help myself.

woa two videos in one day?! my day has been saved from boredom.
She didn’t say it but don’t use a plastic container for the monomer as it will burn right through the container
It will burn through?’
Khloe Brown yes the monomer will dissolve plastic and if h had a bad brush monomer can ruin it
I wish I read this three days ago, you should've seen my nice carpet ☹️😔

@Mordechai Connor oh uh ok ig
Right after Jenna's video this is great 😂😂
I haven't gotten to get acrylic nails yet, but I am so excited! It is so cool how you do it. You are a real expert!
Who's here because of Jenna?
lillyhodge3 meeee 😂😂😂😂😂😂
lillyhodge3 Jenna marvels! XD another youtuber you can check her nail fail in her channel 😂
i literally just finished watching her video and this was suggested thank you jenna marbles love her
lillyhodge3 you can check on my fails too xp ..
Not me
When will the kit be back in stock?! I need it in my life ! Looks amazing !
I usually do gel or poly gel to do nails because I felt I wasn't good at acrylic nails. I watched one of your videos where you mentioned a size 8 brush. The one I was using was bigger. I did acrylic nails with an 8 and my nails came out so much better! Thank you for the tip!
😂😂 I swear, it's like she saw Jenna's video and was like, I need to make a new video. I failed her.
Guess I'd better get ready for Jenna/Cristine stans to flood the comments of Suzie's videos from now on. Rip
Elliot Posts it'll die down, people got excited bc it just happened.
Hi I'm new to the channel and from Southern California, just had to say Suzi you could be a twin for a very dear friend of mine that I grew up with. She had the same color hair and skin tone. Thanks for your channel to help us DIY girls who are tired of the expensive salons!
just after jenna's video, can't believe that it's just coincidence
Rafaella Crespo I know right? Conspiracy. #IlluminatiConfirmed
Rafaella Crespo I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so. I think this was a brilliantly thought up plan to boost views for both ladies, and I'm not mad at it! I love both creators and I'm happy to know that they are (maybe) working together-ish.
Rafaella Crespo same🤣
when are you restocking your starter kit suzie!!?? I'm dying to get my hands on it!!!
This MADE MY DAY 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻❤️❤️❤️😁😁
OMG does any of you watch these at like 10:00 at night?

in stead of getting stressed how to make a good nail. Im loving your voice.. I will be opening my salon in 2 months. Seems your video will guide me all through out. Thanks suzie.
necy tarce where will your shop be located love?
Susie I love your hair
If anyone has gone through something like this, I need some advice. Since I left college I kinda got depressed and this has been the only thing that I've felt really passionate about since then, and that makes me happy. I don't wanna give up on this. Please help. :(
(sorry if I made any mistakes, my native language is spanish.)
Thanks in advance!
Caleb Stevens I was about to comment the same thing. I love doing gel extensions and overlays since it's easier and no smell!
they make oder less acrylic.
Suzie, you are a goddess! Watching this during the corona virus to learn how to do my own acrylics with a Walmart kit since salons are closed. Tried last week and they were lumpy and awful but your magic made them nice and lovely and smooth! THANK YOU!
interesting how this comes out AFTER jenna royally screws up her nails 😂
Unicorn Kitteh lol
Unicorn Kitteh yup. She was officially making a tutorial but she was too late. Lol. Poor Jenna learned the hard way.😅
Unicorn Kitteh i wont like your comment cuz it has 666 likes no one like plz
kelly Mendes holy shit!!! lol I usually don't read youtube replies, but I just happened to see yours, and I didn't believe it... until I checked for myself. God damn, I've never had that many likes on a comment. you guys are badass 😄
Unicorn Kitteh lol bit people liked it its not 666 anymorr
I honest feels like Suzie is just talking to me ❤ hahaha
Who agrees ?
So glad you make these videos :) I got really into doing acrylics myself a few years ago and today my daughter asked me if I'd do them for her, but I hadn't done them in years. Watched this video as a quick refresher and it really helped! Her nails turned out really nicely.
if only Jenna had seen this before ! 😭😂😭
Suzie didn't make this because of jenna she made it so the people who bought her kit like me can learn how to do acrylics.
Selena Alvarado i can see your frustration as well when things get repetitive
who cares
Actually she did because she said it herself..
I absolutely love Suzie! She gives me Fairy God Mother vibes! 🧚🏻♀️✨🌸
I need one of those kits 😭😭😭 it would've been a birthday present for myself 😭😭😭
MsLewis34 you should really invest in it. this kit is awesome I love how Suzie made sure we have everything we needed.
Selena Alvarado right now she's sold out, that's why I put those crying emoji's cause I love nails but I haven't did my state require boards yet
SUZIE GIRL
YOUR VOICE IS SO SOOTHING
thank you so much for this video it truly helps so much. all your tips and tricks you just know what works and what does not your perfect so is your channel and your application and your teaching. much love and appreciation. thank youuuuuu bestie
I get how Jenna fell in the hole of watching these videos now 😂😂

She’s the reason I’m here

Nickki' Tobago I want to know the same thing! I been looking for that shade!
Give yourself enough room to learn ☺️. U needed to hear that.
I don't even know how to paint my nails ..why am I even watching this

Ashtika kumar god u dont own one and i own 42
I own close to a hundred thanks to my mom mostly lol.
Who else watching this during quarantine?
Always on point. Wonderful calming voice and easy to follow along. Videos are set at a good pace for learning, and they don't drag. Susie, you make it so easy to learn! I wish I had had your videos when I was learning to do nails.
Thank you for showing about powder in the new brushes. I never knew That it should be removed, great video.
It's ironic how she and Jenna posted their videos monuments apart 😂
Yes, it was pure coincidence😂
Absolutely love this woman. I’ve learnt so much, just wish she could come to the uk ! Xx
I can't make it look likes Suzie. Correction: SUZIE, GURLL YOU LIED TO ME
Why is everyone saying that? Did I miss something
@@amberlongenbach8443 its from jenna marbles' video when she gave herself acrylics
