Lars Nedland’s mic output is very low in the mix or that was the best they could do afterwards because the live engineer. If his mixer channel was too low during recording.

How can the sound mix be this bad? What a shame.
Borknagar's s/t debut and Olden Domian are their best albums. Archiac Coarse, Quintessence Empiricism are all pretty descent. I kinda stopped getting anything after Empiricism. A lot of black metal bands I used to really dig started getting kinda frickin gay around 2000 thanks to MTV tempting everyone to water down their sound. I remember seeing Immortal on MTV and I was like...Fuck...MTV's about to try to ruin black metal like they ruined hardcore and turned it into a gimmick for mall people.
