This is the part of anime that people who on the outside looking in will never understand. Once you do begin to understand how deep, cruel, and captivating things can be in an animated world like this it just changes perspective for the rest of your life
For the ending, Mikasa doesn’t know yet that Erens gone now, that’s why it’s so ironic that she’s like “as long as you’re in this world eren, I can do anything…”
Patreons probably already told you but there is only 1 author for this story, hajime iseyama, it was originally a manga and the guy planned the story the start. He knew what the ending will be from the moment he wrote the first chapter, there are very few loose ends and almost everything is explained
He knew which directions it would go but I don’t think he had everything planned for example he had 3 or 4 different endings in mind. I think he even thought about ending it at the end of season 3 at first
Not at first, cuz the end of season 3 was original ending I believe. However there were always some details that were added at the beginning that only makes sense with ending we got. So my guess is Isayama While he already had season 3 ending in his mind set up some major details/clues of possible ideas that he didn't knew he was gonna 100% use in the future. And those details were not noticeable/would not cause plot holes. So I'm guessing later on he fully used those details and connections and connected it to ending. And to do that without major plot holes is an amazing W.
Um actually...😂 Bfr, Isayama wrote the Manga but animes still have "writers" per episode: they adapt and fit dialogue and pacing. They also fit edit things together. So they do exist and have a purpose. They just don't create the plot. But their job is very important. Writers are not the same as Author's or Mangaka.

Episode 5 is seriously one of the best fakeouts in anime. We follow this character for 5 episodes, understand him and his motivations, expecting him to be the main character? Bam. He’s gone in an instant. It’s gonna be interesting to see how this changes the characters of Armin, Mikasa, and Jean. Hope you enjoy. :>

This has some of the most epic and some of the most butt-clenching intense moments I've ever seen on any anime or even just any show for that matter. And there's also the fact that it can suddenly pull the rug from under you. Like that sequence in ep5 where it felt like we're starting off strong during the battle. And then one Aberrant/Abnormal Titan is all it takes to kill one squad member and discourage everyone else. Like we revved up and straight up ran into a brick wall.

I forgot most details from the early seasons so it's like I'm watching it again with you guys. Pretty awesome tbh
Same
The complexity of this Anime is wild when you finish this series you’ll realize everything is connected…EVERYTHING from the first episode you have the answer right in your face
38:17 "how much heavier can you get?" can't wait when they get into season 3 and 4
Now that I’m thinking about it, the story did get wayyyy heavier than watching your mom get eaten and human trafficking 🥲
It's kind of nice that people edited Eren on later ep covers and stuff in memory of him the fandom deserves so much for that. He did so much for Mikasa and Armin's growth he served his purpose.
WE NEED MORE OF THIS REACTION AINT NO WAY IM WAITING A WHOLE WEEK FOR THE NEXT ONES !!!!!!
My reaction to seeing this upload on my page.
"Hehehehehahahahahah, here we goooooooo!"
Loving yalls interest in the story of this series 😅. Getting to my fave part soon❤ love badd medicine !
Gosh I'm having such a great time watching you guys react to Attack on Titan. When I first watched the first couple of seasons, I did it alone. But to watch you guys react and be just as invested and interested as I was, it's so fun, and I find myself reliving all of the emotions experienced the first time, but almost as if with friends in a way, if that makes any sense.
AND.... BOOM! This is why AoT is the GoT of anime. 🔥🔥🔥
🕊🕊🕊 R.I.P Eren! You'll be remembered! Finally it's time to see Mikasa's and Armin's character development!!!
PS - Defo find a different subtitled copy! The subs are kinda all over the place :P
Yup 😂
And just like GOT it had a trash ending
@@greyhound4204 That's just your opinion. Many of us disagree.
@@charlie_minion3650agree - with you, not with the other guy up there 😅
@@charlie_minion3650 I want to agree with you but after I watched "there's nothing good about Attack on titan ending" by spryzen, I'm actually contemplating.
This is probably one of the best anime’s I’ve ever seen. I can watch it over and over, not getting tired of it. As you watch, it just gets even better. Watching people react to AoT reminds me of the first time I watched it years ago. You guys will REALLY enjoy this show the more your finish, no doubt!
this is the best comments section i have ever seen, thanks guys 💎❤
fans will understand ❤
Lol you're in for a ride. Sh!t just got real.
Give your hearts ❤❤
I can’t wait for the next two!! I love this channel!!!
Rip eren you will be missed. He was the best character fr
I legit can't say enough how hyped I am you guys are watching this series. Before I checked out anime, I had no idea they could be like this. Now, it's actually VERY hard for traditional movies etc to top the stories and characters in the best anime I've seen. It's crazy.
These first episodes are so nostalgic, so simple in comparison to the last ones..
This story was written by one person I believe in their 20's at the time of writing. This is his story, Hajime Isayama. Not just 1 creator with tons of writers, 1 writer
you will be missed Eren... Also shocked the first time I watched this episode. What a blow to Mikasa and Armin...
In retrospect, it might not have been a good idea to watch 5&6 together, emotionally speaking, hope you guys aren't drained you all looked pale at the end :) I'm so excited for you to witness this masterpiece!
Every series is a jaw dropper , and this anime is the best in cliffhangers 😂
the bait and switch of eren being the main character and then he dies was masterfully done - very game of thrones of them. always fun to watch reactors realize he's actually dead and now we pivot to the other characters.
Rest in peace eren
I just love the collective confusion and “WTF” look on all y’all faces when Eren was eaten 🤣😂. Seriously, I LOVE your reactions!
Mikasa: look at me, i am the lead now 😂
Episode 5 is seriously one of the best fakeouts in anime. We follow this character for 5 episodes, understand him and his motivations, expecting him to be the main character? Bam. He’s gone in an instant.
It’s gonna be interesting to see how this changes the characters of Armin, Mikasa, and Jean. Hope you enjoy. :>
Remove Fakeout
@@DKWTWDH All part of the bit, they’re past episode 8 now lol
It’s been SO long since I’ve watched this show and I never kept up with it. But I was obsessed when I did watch it. I’m kind of rediscovering things along with you guys. Can’t wait for the next episode!
Another great reaction from,y favorite channel ❤
This has some of the most epic and some of the most butt-clenching intense moments I've ever seen on any anime or even just any show for that matter. And there's also the fact that it can suddenly pull the rug from under you. Like that sequence in ep5 where it felt like we're starting off strong during the battle. And then one Aberrant/Abnormal Titan is all it takes to kill one squad member and discourage everyone else. Like we revved up and straight up ran into a brick wall.
May your soul be blessed in next life! R.I.P. Eren Jaeger.
It has been so hard waiting a week in between these videos!!! Watching reactions to AOT is one of my favorite pass times, honestly and this has been one of my favorite reactions so far. Now back to the wait! So glad you guys are enjoying your intro to anime :)
BEEN WAITIN FOR THIS😜
Imma gonna say one thing ,the died of eren really makes armin and mikasa go through heavy character development like you cant even remember how they were before his dead.
at 26:36 I was just thinkin “let’s not show him berserk 1997 then”😂
A book accurate berserk show would raise hell. Literally.
@@corryjamieson3909 oh how I wish we got a continuation atleast of 97😪now we have to just hope the fan release is atleast decent. id love to see a book accurate berserk anime too that shit would make me happy af but knowing we’ll never get it most likely😓
@@Happofusagarii I mean I'm not complaining with what we got though.
@@corryjamieson3909 oh i’m not, I just want a continuation lol I love 97 for what it is, just knowing that we won’t get the continuation like 90s animated spider-man hurts😂
R.i.p eren he was a short lived character but he definitely planted the seeds in everyone's hearts to fight back 🕊
R.I.P. Eren. You'll be missed.
26:35 "This is a pretty heavy material for an animated series." Welcome to the anime world, where animation isn't _just_ treated as something for kids, but respected as an actual medium of storytelling.
Only about 10% of anime right now is genuine art.
The rest on the other hand, being nice here, let's just call them Junk food.
Out of all the ways Eren could have died I didn't think it was going to be in a titans mouth. Gone too soon
I've been watching anime for about 50 years, but I really regret that I should have paid more attention to this anime from the beginning.
This anime is on another level.
If you see comments on this channel that say "stay focused," it shows how great this show is.
This is not a word to blame you.
Anime is something to enjoy.
Please enjoy watching until the end😊
Come on, Armin doesn't look that feminine. And pretty sure his gender was mentioned already.
Never heard of a girl named Armin.
Dude looks like a woman. It will be important to the plot later that Armin is feminine.
Nah armin is my girl
Loved seeing yalls reaction! Really enjoyed that moment where you guys talked about how anime has a lot of intense and deep stuff despite being animated. I think yall would love an anime called Vinland Saga its a anime about Viking and its a very impactful story with so much meaning! If yall get the chance would love to see yall do a reaction to it!
This is where our hearts break 9:54 💔💔💔
I'm so invested in this, you guys are in for an emotional rollercoster! Rip eren 🕊
I found myself kind of smirking toward the end of this: "can it get any darker than this?" - yes! yes it can!
also a quick tip: if you don't get a "to be continued" then there's a post credit scene, otherwise it's just a preview
😮 !
Man…this show goes places. I love getting to experience it again for the first time through someone else’s eyes.
10:27 Oak eyebrow reveal
As many people said there is only one author, and he was only 17 when he published the one-shot! And was only 19 when the first chapter of the manga released! I'll forever be mindblown at how someone can come up with a story like this at such a young age
We will miss eren but Mikasa in this episode still dosen't know eren is dead yet.
I love this because it is reminiscent of my first watch as this was my first anime. A lot of other reaction channels that are anime heavy, overlook the shock factor and cliché breaking moments in this anime for us western media conditioned watchers. Love it! 🥰
I'm going to enjoy this reaction😎
I am SO intrigued by what was written in Mason Quinn's notebook that The Answer scratched off. His reaction left me wondering haha
" *RIP Eren 😢* " Seriously Guys...They might already crossed Ep-10 by now in Patreon. I don't know who you guys fooling. 😂
They’re not trying to fool anybody, it’s just tradition 😂😂
@@cookiemonster8184 yeah... I know! In fact I did the same thing in many other reaction videos 😂. I just wanted to let it out once that these fooling comments are useless... Because they are way ahead.
What was being said at 35:33 is EXACTLY what i felt too when i first watched this show; which was my introduction to anime, aswell.
Now this show is my favourite show of all time! So no laptop slamming here haha
