I ordered this headset for work purposes. It's perhaps the worst headset I've ever owned. It really is a blast from the past. The mic quality is about as good as a mobile phone from the 1990's. Recording in 16khz mono only. AM radio quality. When the microphone is activated, the playback audio also drops to 16khz mono.
This is an overpriced frankly rubbish headset. I have other headsets with much better microphone quality.
As for audio playback, again rubbish. It's marketed as an upmarket business / leisure headset. In reality headsets that cost 1/3rd of the price perform better. This headset belongs to the past, perhaps 20 years ago it would be acceptable.

Yep, this headset is pretty disappointing.

@ What I expected was a first class home office all rounder headset, suitable for high quality calls and music, potentially even gaming.
Instead what I got is a lemon I don't even want to use. The microphone quality is worse than the walkman style elcheapo logitechs these ones were supposed to replace.
The audio quality is at best average, but nothing like what you would get from quality headphones.
And the price is insulting. Only reason I have these is because the company I work for provide them. But for the same money on my own budget I could have really gotten something usable.
There's a lot of hype over these and I'm assuming because RUclips is full of paid shills who promote this product.

Is worthless, I’m on my second pair 65 and I’m not going to buy anything more from Jabra.
My first set broke between the headband and the speakers, it’s a plastic joint that breaks, and just before it broke I was down to just 6 hours from 14 this within the first 8 month. No guarantee 😩
I purchased my second pair, and behold, 6 month in of daily use were I put on and off the headset 2 times each working day, the pin broke just as the first ones. This time I hot glued it and now after 18 months the battery holds for 4 hours, then dead.
I bought gaming headphones for my kids and 36 months they still walk around and charge them after 10-20 hours of use…….. Jabra is so bad that they don’t work the full guarantee time.
Don’t buy jabra, better to buy a professional gamer head set, it’s bulky, but it’s way better, and in long run cheaper.

Yes, this model does not seem to be built to last in heavy use.

I bought it recently and even I have big issues with the bluetooth connection. Its being disconnected if I go 3-5 meters away in the other rooom. The previous version was awesome but this one is a big BS.

I wanted to buy this headset (dual earphones) but I think I stick to my Bose QC35ii for calls via Bluetooth. They work just fine. Thanky for the review.

Yes, stick with a comfortable headset!

I have been using an Evolve 2 65 (stereo) headset for over 2 years as my daily driver during covid, approximately 5 to 6 hours of meeting a day. It works perfectly fine for me without issues. I had experience on a few Poly or Jabra headsets at work, Evolve 2 series has the best noise cancellation microphones. I am considering buy another pair of 65 for my wife, but was wondering if there are better alternatives.

I'm glad it works well for you! I really prefer conference speakerphones over headsets.

Have a look at the Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex. Not sure if it will be better though. Just newer and more suited to be used outside of home / office environment.

@@FXBillionaire that might be a common problem with Bluetooth headsets as they are operating on the noisy 2.4GHz band. On my work machine, I disabled 2.4 GHz WiFi and the built-in Bluetooth of the Intel AX200 WiFi card, that really help to improve the stability of the headset connection. Maybe it also works for you.

I have a Jabra 380 (500 dollar cost) and it's one of the worst headsets I've ever had. Constant connection issues.

@FXBillionaire My problems ceased when I installed the software and disabled the terrible "on ear detection" setting. It's actually not bad now. Just overengineered.

I've used Evolve2 65 Stereo for 3 years by now and by far the best value for money headset on the market. The mic is amazing, the sound is awesome (including watching movies/music) and the Support from Jabra is 10/10! Bear in mind that I work in the IT industry, and we resell lots of leading brand (Poly/Plantronics etc, Yealink etc) and I've purchased mine with my own funds - this is much I love it!
Last but not least, atm, you can get the Stereo version for $240 AU Dollars, which is about $165 and there’s nothing on the market that can beat that!
The above is accurate as of July 2023.

I have the complete different experience, daily use with 8 hours a day and taking them off 2 times a day will brake the pin within 6-12 months.
The battery goes bad within 12 month and after 18 months battery life is just 4 hours. And yes I’ve hot glued my last pair that’s why I manage to keep using them.
Because of my experience I don’t buy one peace of your overly positive comment.
