  • One of the most intriguing (and headline-grabbing) TVs from CES 2019 was LG’s rollable OLED, which seems to appear out of thin air from the base of a console stand to produce a gorgeous TV where before there was none. While Bang & Olufsen’s tour de force for 2019 may not roll up and down like LG’s version, the luxury brand’s new Beovision Harmony OLED television certainly makes its own impressive, automated entrance.

    You could always buy one of those big wooden cabinets that people used to have and save yourself a few grand.

    Hey guys, I need some advice: I am torn between a 65 inches LGC9 and a 85 inches Sony X850G TV, since those are the best ones available in my country. Which would you recommend?

    LG made a TV that rolls up into the stand like a poster meanwhile B&O kinda covered a screen with some "speaker cabinets"....

    I don’t understand why people are so shocked; it’s a statement, it’s symbolic: when you can afford to put this television in your living room, you’ve made a huge success of yourself in regards to your career. If you’re on a low or medium salary, then obviously this isn’t for you.

  • @neargrog685

    One day I hope to own a B&O TV. When that day comes I hope they have something better than this - looks like a half-done job

    So every time you turn on the tv you have to wait 30 seconds for it to unfold itself before you can start watching? Yea that sounds like a good idea.

    • @eggy6857
      @eggy6857 4 года назад

      It takes 16 seconds to be fully unfolded but the screen was already on after 6 seconds.

  • @lukasczubak6585
    @lukasczubak6585 4 года назад +2

    It's more of an status symbol that entertainment device, at least where I live. Most of my rich friends have B&O TVs in their living rooms just to show off when they invite someone over. Most of them also have private screening rooms some I doubt they use this TV that often :/

  • @MrSec84
    @MrSec84 5 лет назад +1

    I'm sure you could buy another brand's big, quality OLED and with the change left over from your equivalent budget to this pay for a bespoke installer to make a custom stand that would look better than this.
    If you're technically capable yourself it would be quite fun to fabricate a stand and add in motorised parts to do something better that covers the whole screen, while adding a full Atmos audio system for a lot less than this costs.

    • @arunashamal
      @arunashamal 4 года назад +1

      The idiot presenter didn't explain what is the stand for. That is the speakers. And B&O speakers blow every other speaker in its size out of the water. Those things can blow your head off with crystal clear sound. The presenter just sucks...

    I’m from Denmark and I don’t get this either, it’s like a half done idea 💡 and then they said to the designers what should the prices be.....$20.000......okay then that is the price......don’t blame the stock market of B & O is running bad

    But the problem is, it’s all proprietary. I’ve had customers come in with old b&o stuff which they paid thousands for.
    Now they want to buy a new tv but want to use the b&o system. Well, they can’t because it’s coupled to their tv. Suddenly it becomes a 10k paperweight because it only has scart and rca connections.

    That is fucking cool no joke but coats way way way way to much lol and no matter what it does it isnt fucking 20k worth I mean you can get the reliable fucking oled for I think around the same price when released so why the fuck would anybody by this when they could just buy something that is serious art all one piece and rolls up into nothing and is a beautiful piece without balck edges showing I think whoever made this did it at the worst time because lg themselves are doing it but better with money of the tv showing unless you want the top with the clock to show and stuff like that sry hut these will not sell much at because again you can get a TV that rolls up itself for around the same price

    Pointless. In your video “what’s that ugly black screen”. It’s call a tv and it looks much better than that stand. Rather spend money on Dolby Atmos Sound System to go with my OLED than that random stand. Plus it be cheaper lol. Noticed few mistakes and odd promotions from this channel lately. The LG OLED with the comparison to QLED. Comparing a QLED picture with HDR with a OLED with no HDR. Now this promotion with this pointless stand.

    F****k Me.............
    A few of the people who knows me very closely,
    I have some issues about this matter....
    because, clear Image and pure sound is my 1st priority...
    I can't negotiate with my own eye and other parts of hearing but
    this one??? Oh come on Bang & Olufsen? it's some kind of insanity
    I have nothing more to say....
    In CES 2019, there are lots of dumb stuff out there and it is one kind of them...... some idiots can spend $10,000 only for rotation !!!
