  • The Sony A9G OLED TV has all the makings of the best TV in 2019. On our road to reviewing this gem, we've got to unbox it, set it up, and investigate the picture settings. That's what this video is all about. The A9G may use an LG OLED panel, but the design and processing is 100% Sony's best, and that makes all the difference. Have a look for yourself and see why we're so excited to get up close and personal with this amazing TV.

    I love how Sony (for most TV's) goes with a small footprint center stand instead of feet at opposite ends.

    I just wanted Sony to have the outbox for connections like samsung tvs have. Combining that with Sonys image hould be the bang... I really this tv design and using it as a center speaker could be nice. Also having a speedy android tv experience is really really good. Sony listened to us. Well done.

    i have an LG OLED C9, and something that i am very concerned about is, maintenance, some tips and thoughts around cleaning the screen, power management, cares with OLED displays and others things that can damage a very very very expensive TV. So maybe this can be a good idea for a video.

    • @MW-ng7bp
      @MW-ng7bp 5 лет назад +2

      Just make sure to use a good screen cleaner and you're fine, also ensure you have the thin cling wrap layer that's on the back removed - a lot of people miss that - it stops the tv from.properly releasing heat. Otherwise you're good though man, the tv requires no maintenance outside of following its prompts for a pixel refresh every 600 hours

      Through all the videos i've watched, i think it comes down to this. The LG has a better user interface and also has full HDMI 2.1 which makes it future proof for a long time. The Sony offers slightly better presentation of HDR content. Both TV's have very good processors so I feel that's a toss up. I would pick the LG because it has HDMI 2.1 and a better user interface. Even though the Sony supports some HDMI 2.1 features, it can't carry the full bandwidth and that will affect how eARC performs, as well as not getting the same refresh rates as the LG.

      @@Soclean07 no HDMI 2.1, no eARC, no processing change since 2018 model, no significant advancements in audio or video upscaling capability over previous model, terrible input lag time and a price tag that comes higher than any competitive product with the aforementioned. Really you're not getting any real added value and you're burning money just for the sake of having your screen as a speaker. But hey, says sony on the casing and it's expensive so it must be best right? Review RTings ratings btw, 8.8 A9G vs 9.0 C9.
