I love how Sony (for most TV's) goes with a small footprint center stand instead of feet at opposite ends.
I just wanted Sony to have the outbox for connections like samsung tvs have. Combining that with Sonys image hould be the bang... I really this tv design and using it as a center speaker could be nice. Also having a speedy android tv experience is really really good. Sony listened to us. Well done.
I'm supper excited for this review.I've been waiting for this for almost 3 moths now.Ohh damn, its such a beautiful tv.
LG E9 vs SONY A9G, looking forward to it
old school speaker connections! Yes, just yes!
I don't think you've ever been more excited to check out a TV. And that thumbnail, I thought it was your birthday.
One of your best reviews yet. Great presentation and very keen on this Sony iteration. I have so many reasons why this is my favourite tech channel but I'll save that for another day.. Terrific effort!
I’m going to wait until next year, for hdmi 2.1 version. Also can you report back after months using this tv to see how it handled since I’m worried about oled burn in.
We have the 49xg9505 beside this oled and the difference is unbelievable the blacks and the colour contract is simply amazing from Sony
Thank you for this video set up! And can you do the Sony AG9 va the LG Z9 ( the OLED 88 inch 8k ) ☺️
Super thin bezel and those sharp edges
To die for. No ugly curves.
Finally you got The Sony OLED A9G I was waiting for the unbox and the review for a long time.
Great video, funny as well! :D
Just bought this one to go with my home theater system! So excited 😍😜😜😜😎
E9 VS A9G? Hell yes! :)
Full review is a must
Great job Caleb! Looking forward to hearing your comparisons of the A9g to the C9.
Me too!
@@jackkall1952 it should be interesting Jack 👍
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY which one do you think will handle burn in better?
Would like to see a vs between Q900R, the best of LED vs the best of OLED.
Hi! Caleb, when will you (Digital Trend) do a comparison between the new LG E9 and Sony A9G? Any more information when LG will send Digital Trend their R9 for a FULL review
What is the model number for the 77" version and would you say the performance is identical to this 65"? Thanks!
Getting this very soon. Should I professionally calibrate right away or break into it first and if so what break in period you recommend?
i have an LG OLED C9, and something that i am very concerned about is, maintenance, some tips and thoughts around cleaning the screen, power management, cares with OLED displays and others things that can damage a very very very expensive TV. So maybe this can be a good idea for a video.
Just make sure to use a good screen cleaner and you're fine, also ensure you have the thin cling wrap layer that's on the back removed - a lot of people miss that - it stops the tv from.properly releasing heat. Otherwise you're good though man, the tv requires no maintenance outside of following its prompts for a pixel refresh every 600 hours
I'd like to know how the sound compares to the AF9 please...3 actuators on front? and how does subwoofer compare to the one built in stand. I sent back AF9 as didn't like the tilt from the stand, and is the screen just as reflective?
Would love to see a video on Android TVs and recommended TV chips that can run them.
My heart says yes, but my wallet says no :(
Hue yeah bro 😂😂
Not worth the money no HDMI 2.1 ports.
I can't wait for the Hisense H9F review. Both me and my wallet...LMAO
Come on you only live once. Buy it !
@@sexydanny21awesome why you need HDMI 2.1? serious questions, I don't know much about it.
I wonder how well the timber matches when the tv speaker is used as a center?
Caleb getting slap-happy in this video.
Nice presentation.I have 1 question. In all previous Android TVs sony does not support 24p mode for the Android apps like Netflix, Prime etc.Does this tv has the necessary API to support 24p mode for Android apps?
Second, I currently use a Elite® Signature Series 60'' Class High-Definition Monitor (No Tuner) how would a TV like this be used with the Pre-amp being the switching device between sources?
Just got mine today holy moly
Sony is just awesome greetings from the ancient megalithic city of TIAHUANAKU BOLIVIA 🇧🇴
Wow Master s cant wait to see this one now
Can this TV be mounted on the wall? I think I see the mounting holes on the back, but not sure. If so, does it have to be a special sony mounting hardware or is it standardized?
Please compare the Samsung Q90R and the LG C9 to this Sony A9G!...Thanks!
I'd really like to see your take on the new Frame TV from Samsung. There's pretty much nothing on it, and if it's on par with one of their higher end QLEDs I really might want it.
I would like to know if you connect your Tv speakers to an Av receiver, could it cause Tv damage or picture impairment?
This is amazing
Just got the 55” version - unreal !!
How is the sound on this tv ? Can you please tell me if those actuators work fine ?
C9 is life
all i need.
Is this Imax enhanced version if yes kindly review some Imax enhanced movie on it
Would you buy the A9 now where in 2021 or wait for the next generation of Sony TV's at CES 2021
Waiting for the full review bro...
I didn't see the holes for wall mount. Can it be wall mounted?
Yes please compare the LG C9 to this Sony A9G!
A9G is better
Aren’t they made with LG OLED panels?
@@pacomacman
Yes
But video processing is different
Sony video processing is outstanding
Through all the videos i've watched, i think it comes down to this. The LG has a better user interface and also has full HDMI 2.1 which makes it future proof for a long time. The Sony offers slightly better presentation of HDR content. Both TV's have very good processors so I feel that's a toss up. I would pick the LG because it has HDMI 2.1 and a better user interface. Even though the Sony supports some HDMI 2.1 features, it can't carry the full bandwidth and that will affect how eARC performs, as well as not getting the same refresh rates as the LG.
I agree with myself here. I make a valid point.
Another Caleb video. Another upvote.
Caleb do you know how to turn OFF OK Google voice control on the Sony AG9?
How is the Sony A8G compared to LG C8? I got the A8G but its not as good as the A9G and it has bad input lag on gaming. Am i missing out alot if i get the LG C8 instead?
Great TV. Considering it already. What's the make of the floor standing speakers in the video?
They are the kef q750 series
I really want to buy this but.....starting to be concerned about OLED Burn in issues.....not sure should I spend on Oled or simply buy LCD
Where did you get the tv cabinet from? Also what’s the dimensions please
Just finished setting this tv up, tried Netflix and it looks very good.
How is the sound on this tv ? Can you please tell me if those actuators work fine ?
Cata Yes, the actuators do work fine but obv a good sound bar will always do a better job.
Great review,do a review on TVS 2019 that are great for gaming please
You're cute.
@@DennisBolanos what's cute? Elaborate!
Finally!!! 😊🙏🏽
I bought a Sony OLED when they first came out, would I be gaining anything if I bought this tv?
Should I get this or the Z8H
Great review! Sony TVs are the best
No no there not LG is better. No HDMI 2.1 on this model.
review the new Panasonic GZW-series 954/1004/2004 please
Love the tease. Just too scared to go with OLED. Afraid I'm just going to burn it in somehow. X950G is what I'm looking at. Will wait till prices drop down, hopefully by black Friday.
THEY HAVE A WARRANTY
@@Technobitz FOR HOW LONG THOUGH
@@TheBlooRayChannel 1 year parts and labor
@@Technobitz sure. But what if the screen burns after the 1 year? I'm not spending that amount of money just to keep a TV for a year. It has to last at least 5 before thinking of an upgrade. Sony X950g is the way to go.
stay away just buy lcd and have no worries. I have a sony 930E 55 and LGE65 this February will be 2 years owning the sony and 3 years for the LGE6 65 no burn fall asleep with the tv all the time i must be lucky because burn in can happen the proof is out there.
ARE THERE ANY LAGS WHILE USING AND CHANGING FROM ONE ANDROID APPS TO ANOTHER
Does it need calibration proposed by a seller?
What about burning issues on this TV?
Have it; amazing tv.
That GOT's night episode clips.
Does A9g have the feature called Imax enhanced feature?
Anyone know what the 4k lizard demo called?
Buenas dias si por fafor podes hacer un video en español del OLED SONY 4 K DE 65 pulgadas XBR-65A&H es de este año 2020 desdes ya gracias saludos cordiales
How long is the stand?
I'm sold going to purchase a 65 in. Oled today.....
Can you tell mate I want to buy a Sony oled tv and I having doubt about it because screen fault or screen burn i seen loads of the comments and the screen a fault it broke down easily
How many tvs have you screwed? You ought to consider protection.
how do you like the 48" A9S Oled?
e9 vs a9g pls
does sony do a good job color calibrating their sets ? wondering what the out of box experience is like when it comes to color accuracy in cinema mode.
i wish reviewers would share pre calibrated numbers(delta E) just to get an idea how different companies deal with out of box color accuracy.
Pre calibration is approx. 92.6% accurate, as opposed to the C9 at approx 96.4%
I want this TV so bad
Would like to know how much better this A9G is compared to its last year predecessor A9F (which is now available for cheap).
Chris Regan - wait what? image quality has decreased?
Anyone knows where is Wi-Fi icon on oero ? I have x8000d
Which one has best motion, with little paning shots motion blur, stutter etc.
sony TVs across the board always excel in motion because of their processing
I love your sense of humour towards the "screwing" 🤣🤣🤣
I love how for the past... idk... 5yrs we’ve been talking about/googling/youtubing how to turn off motionflow/trumotion/soap opera effect, yet it’s an available function and is still on by default! Who, I ask you, who actually likes that?
Boomers. My dad bought the 950 and I went over to help him set it up and he was adamant about keeping the motion stuff on :(
That shadowy motion blur stuff really annoys me. It's like watching a fly on my TV. It's terrible. How is it a default feature?
javi m default bc it’s always on from first start up! And then you have to go on this hour long journey through 50.000 menus just to find the on/off switch!
Didn't you review this TV last year when it was called the A9F?
hi i love your video style :) tell me how about appeltv app AG9 Have it ? thanks you
Do a Samsung Q9 vs a Hisense in the same weight class.
I want to see Sony a9g vs lg e9
I mean the C9 and e9 are literally identical aside from aesthetics and the added audio so it won't make a difference really
I understand that there are two display panels available on this model according to where it is manufactured, Mexico or Korea. Can someone please educate me on this? The one manufactured in Korea is much less expensive and has zero warranty.
I'm still waiting for a day they will introduce an oled tv with no burn in risk. That will be the day i will buy an oled
We owned an lg OLED TVs since they first came to the market and we never had an issue with burn ins. They are awesome but if you listen to this guy in this video you’ll be still waiting
I have this TV ❤️ love it
How is the sound on this tv ? Can you please tell me if those actuators work fine ?
Cata hope you Can juse it? My upload etc
I would love to see the LG C9 vs the Sony A9G.
@Raios Rogue you're forgetting sound quality, upscaling and Sony colours
A9 is far better than c9 just that it's not meant for gaming.
Es siento que Sony le compra los paneles a LG?
I'm still waiting on the LG nanocell TV review
LG versus Sony would be awesome, can you please touch on how the TV performs with gaming, that could affect if i get the LG or the Sony
The A9G has a response time of 27ms compared to just 13ms for the C9. Plus the C9 is $1,000 cheaper. Honestly it's no question on which you should go with. Although you're brave to game on an Oled.
@@Theoldman27 not really lol, watch the RTings burn in review if that's what you're referring to. CoD 9000 hours 0 retention @ 20 hours/day
@@Theoldman27 also I use an A8F as a computer monitor, 1 year in 0 retention. I do a solid colour screen check every month.
$3000 for this TV over lg OLED C9 for $2000 and it has a awesome amazing accurate picture quality with an awesome gaming performance. Lg for me
Sony has longer lifespan. My Bravia from 2009 is starting to show signs of deterioration after 11 to 12 years.
@@majestic7768 well you can roll with the longer lifespan I’m rolling with the best picture quality today and in the future
@@alambe7275 XBR8 has an excellent picture quality. In fact it beats many TVs being sold on the market today.
Hi
Why you never talk about the sound quality that the TVs can give connecting to the system sound
TV sound is shit, Dumbass
Buy a expensive sound bar or speaker like those...
Dickhead
What about the price!?
Does this tv have a camera?
Veery Nice tv
Nice!!
Is the TV leaning back a little? They stopped that last year but I think they are back to the leaning tower of Piza.
No both this and AG8 are not leaning back!
@@johnsf.1634 negative. The A9G does lean back a bit. I confirmed it on another RUclips channel.
Do C9 vs that tv
Why didn't he say the TV has adverts flashing up? Which it does......
THE KING OF OLED TV's IN 2019
No, that's the C9
@@MW-ng7bp no chance buddy, but nice try
@@Soclean07 lol k, you legit have no clue what you're talking about then. Start reading, friend.
@@Soclean07 no HDMI 2.1, no eARC, no processing change since 2018 model, no significant advancements in audio or video upscaling capability over previous model, terrible input lag time and a price tag that comes higher than any competitive product with the aforementioned. Really you're not getting any real added value and you're burning money just for the sake of having your screen as a speaker. But hey, says sony on the casing and it's expensive so it must be best right? Review RTings ratings btw, 8.8 A9G vs 9.0 C9.
@@MW-ng7bp at the end of the day the only thing matter the most in TV comparisons tests is picture quality, it is the main thing which make the professional testers decide and nothing else.
