Brilliant video Steve I'm tawrn between the 65 or 77 will I lose any wattage or power if I pick the 65 inch i spoke with John from Manchester last week he said they would be going up in price in October so I have to make that move quickly, thanks Matt Curtis 🇬🇧
Thanks Matt! Power consumption is very low for both screen sizes, they both have the same excellent specifications. Yes, I just heard about the price increase coming, so best to make the decision before then if you can!
Yes, LG are top of their game for picture quality and no-one can come close to B&O for sound - the visual drama of the Harmony's movement is also really impressive!
Vilson Lekaj picked up the LG C9 65” this weekend from Richer Sounds..... pretty awesome for 2k. Plus.... the sound is quite incredible for a built in system
@@leselhbr8853 The difference is like night and day - B&O is in a league above Bose in my opinion. You really need to hear then for yourself in a B&O store to see what they sound like
Hi, the rolling TV from LG doesn't work with the Harmony, but you can use this TV with the new Beosound Stage speaker from B&O - please check out my video on this new speaker on my channel.
I also saw some minor issues of this nature on early pre-production versions of the Harmony, these appear to all have been resolved in the production models as far as I am aware.
I am yet to see it in flesh. Did B&O stylishly redesign Beovox 5000 wall speaker to make Harmony TV? It reminds me reading from one of their 1990's brochure that TV and audio will be two faces of same coin and maybe Harmonyi is the result.
It is very nice when you see it in person, that is interesting about the Beovox 5000 wall panel speakers, I can see the similarity now you mention it - maybe they used these speakers as an inspiration for the TV design?
@@soundsheavenly l think we're living in a "post-future" World now, since B&O, Concorde _et al_ was the apex of wo/man's design ideology: nothing so ingenious will ever be seen again; possibly only copies of what once was. Eric Gorter I also like the fact that the screen can be upgraded (eg. When 8k is launched). The Harmony TVs on display at the moment are pre production prototypes, so there may be minor alignment issues, knowing B&O these will be resolved before production.
Interesting thought, but most of the people I know who use this TV every day still let it open and close each time. The drama of seeing it opening is always enjoyable to watch
@@soundsheavenly I saw a demo -- it takes 15 seconds. It's supposed to evoke the sense of curtains opening in the movie theater but I dunno...maybe I'm too impatient lol.
@@jesterlee7526 😀The movement doesn't appeal to everyone, but some people really do like it. As you mentioned, you can switch it on or off to suit your preference, the TV and sound is superb either with or without the movement.
@@soundsheavenlyOther than the gimmicky movement that doesn't work for me (but others love as you pointed out), it seems to be a great statement piece. For the price I was hoping they'd use a bigger OLED screen though, like the C1 83".

Yes, there are some great TVs being made now, please bear in mind that my review was filmed nearly two years ago! The quality of TVs has changed enormously since then, B&O's Harmony is one of the main reasons that other companies have raised their game. Harmony can also be upgraded to accept newer and better displays as the technology improves so it stays at the front of the game.
Thanks for your feedback - I would encourage you to try some B&O products for yourself - my 1990 B&O music system at home has been in use every day since I bought it 20 years ago and it has never failed ;-) B&O have a history of working with the best companies in the industry to provide the parts that they can't make in house, LG currently make the World's best TV panels so it makes sense for them to use LG screens and add their own audio to them. Have you seen and heard this TV in person yet?
Yes, it is pointless, but when you see it in person it is really rather nice and a bit theatrical. I like it, but then I am quite a fan of nice, pointless things! ;-)

Yes, they are certainly unique
Great video Steve. Thanks for showing all of the connections too, that's what i have been waiting to see

Best to check that with your local B&O dealer to be sure
Hi,
I am about to buy a b&o harmony 83 inch, do you have any comments or advice on that? 2023 Harmony 83 inches use LG G3 screens?
Thanks a lot
Yes, the Harmony uses LG G series screens, I think they are the best displays in the World right now.

The 88" version was launched almost a year after I shot this video, this does now have the new 8k LG panel fitted

If it takes that long to open, people are just going to leave it in the open position, which defeats all the engineering that went into closing it.
